Here we have my Reaction to Michael Jacksons - Billie Jean - Short Film (Music Video) from 1983. Billie Jean is one of Michael Jacksons greatest hits and short films, released on january 2nd 1983 and the short film first aired on march 10th 1983 on mtv, breaking down racial barriers on the channel. Billie jean is so iconic and legendary, and has over 1.4 billion views on youtube. I hope you all enjoy my reaction.
"Billie Jean" is a song by American singer Michael Jackson, released by Epic Records on January 2, 1983, as the second single from his sixth studio album, Thriller (1982). It was written and composed by Jackson and produced by Jackson and Quincy Jones.
MTV initially refused to air the video for "Billie Jean", as the network's executives felt black music did not fit into "rock"-centered network. Walter Yetnikoff, the president of Jackson's record company CBS Records, was enraged by their refusal to play the video in spite of Jackson's success as a musical artist. Yetnikoff threatened to go public with MTV's stance on racial discrimination: "I said to MTV, 'I'm pulling everything we have off the air, all our product. I'm not going to give you any more videos. And I'm going to go public and fu**ing tell them about the fact you don't want to play music by a black guy.'" MTV relented and the "Billie Jean" music video debuted on March 10, 1983. After the video was aired in heavy rotation, Thriller went on to sell an additional 10 million copies. It was one of the first videos by a black artist to be aired regularly by the channel.

HIStory - 6 September 2001, Michael made a surprise appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards (witnessed by many musical artists, including Janet) in New York, right in the middle of NSync's performance of their hit Pop. I’m grinning ear to ear!😊 So ionic! I remember when this was first shown on MTV, I just couldn’t get enough of Michael, and to this day Billie Jean will always turn heads and start people singing and dancing as soon as that first lick of the song starts. Oh I love it! We first got cable where we lived like a month before this came out, and my daddy wouldn’t let us listen to certain kind of music, and this was one 🤦🏻♀️, we went to church 3 times a week, and even wouldn’t let us watch MTV, but this ole gal snuck out of bed and watched it and then got in trouble for falling asleep in class🤭. Thanks for the reaction! It was just as fun watching you react as it was for me!😌
