    Your insight and un-biased videos are great. Unfortunately I have a stack of stock lower A-arms for my X-RC that keep piling up. I called CT Race Worx and asked them what fails? (Lowers, sway bar links and radius rods)
    Added their lower a-arms (lifetime warranty) and haven’t broke or bent it yet. We love your suspension set up and we also added the toe link bushings.

    Looks like the 2022 has fixed some of the frame issues, but the Bulkhead and Shock Tower mounts are still Single Sheer. Pretty sure I'm pulling the trigger on a New 2022 X3 XRS RR, not the Smart Shox version...the one right below with the Internal Bypass shocks. I think before I even drive the thing, this front end kit will be the first thing to get. I was all about the Turbo S4, but since they are discontinuing that platform, and Can Am has addressed some weak link issues, it just seems like a better option...plus 200 hp and new clutch. I'll be interested to hear what you have to say when you get your hands on one. Keep up the great work and thanks for doing these videos.

    I bought a brand new 2021 x3 max with smart shox. I put a little over 5000 miles and 250 hours on it a year. I installed the TMW gusset kit, shock tower brace and front bumper when I bought it. The frame welds on the x3 are horrible! Multiple cracks front front of machine to the back! Have to wait 6 weeks to have dealership inspection

  • @carloslugo6684
    @carloslugo6684 Před 4 lety

    What do you think about the XMX Radius Rod Nut Plates which mount behind the thin metal where the radius rods mount? I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned. I know the TMW is double sheer radius rod plate but it's still only being supported by that thin piece of metal which most likely has oblonged holes. The XMX would make it double sheer even with just a regular radius rod plate right? Seems like the better choice.

  • @jaronco

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před 4 lety +1

      Not sure if there is a list anywhere. Other than this video we have not made one. But, bulkhead and double sheer supports and shock tower braces are TMW, Geiser and S3. Radius rods are all over. TLS kit is us. Frame weld in supports are TMW. That is the short list. Hope that helps.

  • @TrainWreck000
    @TrainWreck000 Před 2 lety

    Sway bars will make the cars safer, and i would put that in front of wear and tear. I put Shock Therapy sway bars and links on my RZR and its night and day. I added their coils too...but the sway bars and links make the car safer...the coils made it more comfortable. I would buy them again...if I were to buy a different RZR, and I will be adding their R.I.S. as soon as I can get my buggy to Phoenix, AZ. I don't know them...this is just driver to driver.

    So I don’t really see a list??? And some of the stuff mentioned quickly is Greek? I have a new 2021 can am dx turbo, and would like the beef up 2000.00 kit, mostly off road adventure park/trail riding. Is there a kit to include everything, or would we have to figure out how to order everything separately?? Justin mentioned a front bulkhead double shear kit, but can’t find this anywhere?
    Thanks, new and learning!

  • @jaya8352
    @jaya8352 Před 3 lety

    Great video. I will just add my opinion, the benefit to the billet is increased ground clearance, due to the bend. I 100% agree straight vs. straight, chromoly ftw over billet aluminum, but where aluminum billet allows increased ground clearance, then that trumps the higher strength of a steel tube which would be more liikely to strike the ground.

  • @pault8611
    @pault8611 Před 4 lety +1

    Ouch, poor Chase! Do you install gusset kits etc when people bring cars in for suspension work? Also the RC has a front "bulkhead" installed with the factory winch isn't this doubled sheared as a result?

    • @gearheadgrind
      @gearheadgrind Před 4 lety

      The RC's are an exception as they are double sheer as a result. But they still rely on the front control arm bolts as mounting points. Any good bulkhead kit will also have bolts to tie it to the front of the frame itself. So for myself, I have a 2020 RC and run a front gusset kit and bulkhead in between the frame and the front winch plate.

      You can go buy a 30k polaris unit and pretend like it will be okay.
      If you ride hard enough to break a Can Am front end, you'll be investing 10k in a Polaris on cage, tierods, radius arms, axles and more.
      There isn't a 30k unit out there that is "perfect"
      Even Robby Gordon's will run into some problems somewhere, once mass units are out there with people using them.
      You can buy a 30k unit and leave it alone.
      You can also buy a 30k unit and then realize you love it and want the best performance, ride and quality.
      Dropping 1k to help beef up the front end of the X3 is nothing compare to the shit you wanna add.
      This video is perfect on what to start with and what to work into.
      You don't need to drop 10k in your first 3 months.

      You get what you pay for or, sometimes not. I bought the more expensive Lonestar solution to the center rear radius arm issue and was not able to fit it to my car due to tolerance stack up issues. So it sets on my work bench as a reminder of a bad investment. In the mean time I'm monitoring my machine, a 2018 XRC with 3500+ miles, and will jump on the Shock Therapy solution at the first sign of an issue.

      This is a list to help with parts that wear out or give you short trips. The shocks are not one of those. But the RIS and spring will make it way more fun to drive and you may drive much faster which in turn will wear out more parts. So, they are a contributor to the parts list I mentioned. LOL

      Yes. We define irregardless as "regardless." Many people find irregardless to be a nonsensical word, as the ir- prefix usually functions to indicate negation; however, in this case it appears to function as an intensifier.

      Sorry, I couldn't help myself after the conversation I had with the can-am team following hammers this year. They built ultra4 rigs to look like can-ams and exploited the victory for marketing in such a way that led people to believe a factory rig was that capable. When I called them out on the fact the only thing can-am is the sticker they maintained the lie stating it is "mostly stock with all factory parts..." Hence the reason for my initial comment.
