I do not want to be over critical of these guys because I know they are working with very limited resources and they do work their balls off repairing these crusher jobs.
I would like to make a couple of comments, firstly what is the SWL of that fan belt they use for lifting and I suppose a load test cert is out of the question.
Secondly. If you heat a bearing over an open fire not only do you increase the diameter of the I,D. but the O.D. also increases. So what I suggest is instead of beating the crap out of the shaft/bearing to install it into is housing is to wait a while until the bearing cools down reduces back to its normal size and it should go back in to its housing without all the blood sweat and tears the go back into reinstallation
