Bought one 2 days ago,its smooth as butter,just switched the 20T gear for the 18T it came with and it flies,very quiet too!Lot more fun than my 4x4 Slash VLX.

Totally agree on the mt10. Had mine since December n not 1 thing broke or gone wrong! Excellent truck on 3s! Takes some abuse!

@@TomleyRC I like my helion Avenge and my MT10 (yes 2X a good thing and I love them) But what about the lower arms? Did you not experience breakage? They are out of stock and cannot buy them from the usual suspect for the last year plus.

Loved that review Tomley, nicely done pointing out the tire issue. Wheels/tires cost a fortune, so giving people the heads up is a massive saving.

I still have my arrma granite 2013 version kicking around with a 3670 brushless motor in it and 80a esc, one of my favourite trucks, another is the redcat volcano what's 13 years old but keeps up with all the new guys
It some ways the older stuff was a little more robust. Better materials used with less thought about ‘cost’ saving maybe

Very little damage considering how hard you sent it. I thought for sure the damage from the landing was far more catastrophic than the motor moving 😂. Think I’m sold.

I dig watching the shadows when your filming, it can't be easy lol, I'd end up hitting myself 🤣😁 I've seen a few of them videos where the hex twists, nice air at the park kind of floats through the jumps, good stuff as usual dude!

Brilliant review mate. I have been looking at these for a couple of weeks now and they look awesome. Still Stuck between the Granite and the Vorteks though.....
The Vorteks is a solid rig. I’ve never been a fan of the Granite. Big Rock is my favourite
I love durability tests! THX. My favorite Arrma 1/10 is still the senton.
Do you have problems with leaking shocks? I have a granite that I bought last year and I’m constantly filling the shock with oils. I have the v2. On their website, arrma say that the v3 shocks are less likely to leak oil but it is the same part number as my v2. I’m confused

I just bought a Vorteks. Ran it yesterday fir the first time at my local track. Ran 6+ packs of hard bashing. Only issue I had was the rear tire axel screw to the hex hub came lose. Lock-tight fixed it up for 4 more packs. Only thing I didn't like was the tires... to hard for soft dirt.

That was a hell of a jump at the skate park though.
The mesh on my big rock does that too, its basically the same set up , if i go to hard with it , the motor will move messing up my mesh

wonder how do you clean up the rcs after the dirt bash. high pressure wash? may be a video about proper rc care after bash ?
I have an air compressor.. so usually use that and sometimes wash them if they are really bad
Had mine from around the time this video was made and bought a spare pair of wheels in case this happened to me. It's taken a massive beating at a skate park with 700 oil in it and in woodland areas and I haven't had the wheel issue so far. Snapped a shock rod, but the wheels have been fine! Hopefully this was an early manufacturing thing, but maybe I've just been lucky. I certainly don't think it's a big issue though, which is good news.

Very fond of Arrma myself but Outsourced RC had the same issue with a wheel rim bending. It's sloppy and hopefully Arrma corrects it's before it becomes a problem. The Vorteks bashes so well but Skateparks are RC Death Traps, LOL. Great Video.

I just got one, I think I've already managed to bend the rear right side wheel assembly, but it's a little difficult to tell. Will these bend like normal truck axles and a-arms or because they are plastic not really?

(It's a mode on Betaflight you activate when you crash your quadcopter and it's upside down. So you can turn it back up. 😂)

I had the same issues with duratrax wheels. Hub bent and started to strip out after 2 3s battery packs. Ruined 2 wheels just ripping up and down the street and through some leaves. Had two tumbles but not even from jumping. I will not waste my money on duatrax again.

Team associated quality is top notch. Plus the rival has a center diff. Not to mention the diff crown gears are actually steel, Definitely better imo

I like your style of bashing...you genuinely seem like your not going out of your way to kill stuff...I prefer that style of bashing...For example I have a rc group of 10-15 10 year olds. I get at least 4 broken cars every time they bash....hehe...the last time I trashed one pretty badly...i was trying double backflips and landing them all like a noob, mostly on the roof with lots of bad nose or tail landings...just proves you dont need to kill it to have fun and remarkably they are really strong.
Cheers mate. I never really run them to purposely break them... I have done a couple in the past, but that was for a particular type of video. I think if you land half a dozen jumps hard... and it survives, then you don’t really need to prove any more that it’s going to take it... and if you mess up a few landings and it survives, then it passes the test!

I'd have a hard time chosing the MT over the Vorteks lol. Obviously the Associated will have better parts but they both look great.
I have just as much fun with this little truck as, I do with my x maxx.
Maybe some wheel nuts with a flange on them. Might clamp it to the hex better.

I had exactly the same problem with my Big rock wheels. It seems to me that there's an inherent design flaw with the 14mm wheels.

Brass cup on the hub ...made ratting. Ratting noise? Couldnt figure it .till it was chewed up

Have had the same wheel issue with 2 rear Big Rock wheels. I've replaced the wheels with Granite ones and have blown the hub on one of those too. A definite weak spot considering they are generally build like a tank.
I’ve not had the issue with my Big Rock... but only had a few runs before I converted it to 17mm hex
I put 4.5" diameter, 2" wide stadium truck tires on my big rockv3, converted to a typhon, and I haven't snapped a hub, axle, or different in a really long time. I think the granite tires may be too heavy.

Arrma 3s motor plate is junt... Upgrade to the crcu or m2c motor plate. Also need to upgrade the rear axles to cvds. Then it's ready to Bash.

Hi Tomleyrc I’m in the market for a larger Basher after you convinced me to buy a hyper go I’m now addicted but want something bigger. I nearly bought a rival mt10 but I don’t like how easily it wheelies and flips over. This car looks lower and longer and a bit better for speed and jumps. Would you still recommend this car in 2023? Thanks in advance

Great looking little rig. I don't think chassis slap on these sort of cars matters as much as the electronics tend not to be bolted directly to the chassis usually servos are up in a mount ESCs in a tray , things like the wltoys 104001 whatever it is make my teeth go on edge when they slap because of things like the servo is laid on its side on the chassis the ESC is just stuck on the chassis everything takes the shock more . Oh and scoobyclinic in chesterfield are experimenting with a Yaris gr for tuning upgrades something I thought you may be interested in. If your local that way that Is I'm not sure where you located.
The problem with the chassis slap is it can causes a little internal shock to the electronics, abs over time can kill them.... the motor goes first usually. I banana’d a soft case Lipo in the last run. My GR is staying stock...I need it to be reliable 😅

Hey I am having some steering issues on the Granite I feel my front rim wobbles from factory and I can’t trim it much at all the servo is dead bang perfect. Any ideas why I can’t make it drive straight? I feel Arrma needs better wheels and quality control because I think it’s a bad mold they are using why else would so many people have different wheel problems right.

(Skate Park) has weakness for rc bashing!! only on a soft dirt road,Most rc trucks are upgaded with (HeavyMetal) parts for (Extreame) bashing, you should think about it, (Kevin Talbot) has crazy ideas for duribility test in the past, too much fun from his channel, but he's very smart too.
