Power does not corrupt. It is only the instrument in which true goals are revealed. Of course, when one holds it, it's only natural to want to use it. After all it would be a waste. But where lies and ambition are revealed, remain only after one has gain such power. Hence why it become such an addictive issue in a world govern by those who have and those who have not. Power is merely a tool, one with dire consequences for those in front of it blade and for the one holding it, but still a tool. A tool does not corrupt, motivations do.
The last demon King really went to class, sat in a throne at the far back and was like, "Teach me peasant," to his teacher.

Trying to agree with your comment but still disliking that awful pfp.
I want to mention something. When Sullivan was telling Iruma about Derkila (I can't remember if that was how his name was spelled), he said that the demon king, if he told the demons to go straight on a split in the road, they would construct a new path. Sullivan says that the Demon King can make demons do the impossible. Well now we're looking at Evil Iruma (still the same just with the personality changing spell) who has been able to round up his classmates and complete a task that Kalego deemed impossible to complete. Now they have received the fruits of their labor through Irumas leadership. Just one of the reasons I say Iruma will definitely become the next demon king
The most subtle part of "Evil" Iruma is his Charisma.
When he gathers his classmates before the royal one, he doesn't so much as talk to them but rather his words seem to reach into thier very souls.
They follow him without question, as demons only Alice has any reason to obey Iruma yet the whole class make him thier leader instinctively.
That's my favourite part. He just heads out and says "Walk with me." and they do.
Even though Iruma is human on that throne he looks like a true demon king.

I loved that when he returned to normal he couldn't handle his own clout
He has never been able to handle his own clout before
so basically, "Evil Cycle" shuts down your moral compass, that little voice that tells you "don't do this", and makes you do and say everything you think.
Iruma is so pure on his core that his evil cycle just turned him more assertive, and that's about it.
For Iruma, it gives him the confidence he needed to move forward. He is still the same guy, helpful when asked but now understands what it means to live in this world.
Iruma has always been convinced that things should be one way and not another, and never changed path. But most of the time, he canât make his vision be reality, as he isnât assertive enough by nature. Throughout the story, he starts to understand that he has to change this trait in his personality to be able to make his dreams come true, but that takes time. The evil cycle episode was like a shortcut that gave a glimpse into what Iruma will be able to do in the future, once he really overcome his limits.

This is one of those anime moments that gives me chills every time, it's so good. I'm sad the Evil Iruma arc is over for now, but I'm glad it happened!
Evil Irumi will come to take the fandom's heterosexuality away!
This is actually a really chilling scene. It contrasts the feel of the series as a whole very well, yet is also not out of place. It helps confirm things that we are pretty sure will be true, but still comes off as a bit of a surprise.
Only issue is that in some moments, when it showed him, it'd have been better to show their faces and reactions instead. But all in all... a very well done scene...

I like how they used the cape to hide how he actually got up there. Looking at the height of that throne, Iruma would've had to climb up like a toddler trying to get on a sofa, lol.
This was such a breath taking moment, many say, damn I miss evil Iruma, why did he have to go? Think like this, if Iruma wasn't like he is, then it would just be a bad boring badass isekaid character. But there was a build up between good Iruma to Evil Iruma which made it great and enjoyable to watch. Yes i also miss Evil Iruma but without Good Iruma, Evil Iruma wouldn't have been as goood.

Hell in the harvest festival there's an instant in which you seen Iruma becoming a bit like his wicked phase self.
I think this is similar to gap moe. The stark contrast just makes each side stand out more.

thats basically what this scene accomplishes. nobody dared to move a muscle, nor speak. Even Sabnock just stood there in awe. lord knows if he wasnt intimidated he would have said it was his turn on the throne.

1 of the most badass scenes in anime and I can't explain why. After seeing hundreds of anime, this hits home harder than a top tier Shonen fight

Well I liked how evil iruma wasn't really evil at all just confident, just like President ameri, these episode were only a look into the future cause he will need to be a badass agint to become the king

During the whole "sitting on the throne" bit I had this astronomical smile on my face the entire time.

I feel like he is slowly not needing it. In season 3 of during the forest arc or whatever that was, we can see Iruma becoming more and more confident in himself and his abilities. Him becoming the Demon King is probably years away, so I can definitely see him naturally getting the confidence his evil self has.

My theory is that the previous demon lord is in the ring and he has been there since he abducted the throne and was looking for a worthy person to pass his knowledge and power to and iruma is said person so by the end of the series when iruma has ranked up to the highest level ali true form will be the demon king.
Would be hilarious to come to find out that Iruma is a half-demon this whole time and that, because we have yet to see the previous demon king, he might be a descendant. It's a bit predictable, but would be a cool way to take it. Have a subversive nice guy be the heir of the Netherworld.

@@musictothelife I more so made the connections that way by how much he actually enjoys the food in the demon world. He just seems, despite being human, to fit really well in. I know it is the passage of time and the quirky nature of the show, but it would be really cool to find out these were all factors of his ancestry. That and it would explain why his rank correlates with how far the Feeder Rings incarnation grew.
