I wonder how many of us trail builders just sit here at night watching build videos. Seth if you see this comment you was a big inspiration to start trail building here in the UK.
For those shots I bolted a bunch of L-brackets from Home Depot into trees and put a 3/4” screw into each bracket so I could attach my tripod plate. Then I took a “before” shot of the forest, waited 3+ years until the trail was complete, and then filmed the “after” shot with Remy riding. I had the “before” shots on my phone and just tried to match them as best I could on the day. It wasn’t actually very precise haha. Then in editing, we lined the shots up and used a dissolve to cut between them. Blair Richmond from Imperial Post handled the fine tuning on that. Super simple and it worked better than I’d hoped. Thanks for watching!
oh my god i live in vancouver with OneUp being one of my favourite brands and i did NOT know your HQ was this close def buying some stuff from you guys even though im broke lol
This is beautiful in so many ways. I work with youth in Richmond projects and what Richmond Cycle Corps has done one child at a time is amazing and what Monte has accomplished is life changing and I am so proud of him and what his future holds, he will be changing the world for other black kids everywhere - please don't stop.
Love this. What a great company to do this & dedicate so much time for the sake of having fun. As the video says from 10 year olds to 60year olds, biking is the ultimate ageless sport. When we ride we are all kids again. ❤ Props to OneUp, happy to use these products, sell these products & support the cycling community.
Trail building is one of the most amazing things in the world!! Working in nature, providing happy moments for others, looking at their smiles and happy faces. Leaving something amazing for the next generation. I love it! Great work, keep it up!
I'm so glad I'm an old school xc guy. I'm 100% happy just riding regular old natural singletrack. No need to 'build' a trail... (But mad respect for the trailbuilders here..)
Maybe I missed it in the video, but fairly sure the trail is 100% hand built (no machines)? That deserves special mention! Masterpiece. Was already a huge fan of OneUp for the quality bike parts but the construction of this trail and their contributions to the Squamish scene (SORCA events etc) puts them even higher level.
Fantastic vid. If this doesn’t get you out for a ride or a build, I don’t know what will! Thanks to OneUp and all involved. Amazing story and I can’t wait to ride the trail.
What an awesome job you did ! it looks so great and funny. Another reason to visit BC. it is so difficult in France to achieve even a quarter of what you have done. Congrats to all team.
Thank you! We're lucky to have the space to build and that our local government make it possible for volunteers to build official trails. It takes about a year to get through the approval process, but it's relatively straightforward.
Planning, doing it legit, making something for the public-that’s doing it the hard way. Respect!

There was a lot of paperwork involved in this project. It doesn't make for great watching so it didn't make the final edit. Glad you enjoyed it!
100%

The videography and editing work that went into this is very impressive too.
Builders are more interesting than riders. TKS for this
That is how it is done. These guys don't play around.
Id say they play around, but professionally 😂
Well done one up bike company giving back to the community.
This was the first trail I hit when I got to BC. Thank you!
The before/after fades are absolute magic 🙌🏼
Those before/after transition shots were just awesome
So we’ll matched I was wondering if it was a composite?

Glad this got you stoked to dig and ride. We did some work on the trail this spring, it's running great!
Nice work fellas. Looks super fun. 4 years what a project!!
Well that seals that...Squamish trip happening asap.
I bought a OneUp dropper post in 2018. Regular maintenace and till this day work like on day one. I bet this trail is epic.
That means you bought you dropper right around when we started putting tools in the ground on this trail. That's pretty cool!
This is remarkable.
Awesome vid, great job done by great riders…I wish I’m close by BC. 😢
