If Gavin is 30, RoosterTeeth was created in 2003, and he started working in 2009 he's worked at RT for half of RoosterTeeth's existence. He hasn't worked at it for half of his life.

Bummed episode 500 is a live event :(. Was hoping it would be made special in some other manner. Live events are obviously cool for those attending but to me it just means a regular podcast with worse audio. Hope it ends up being something more than that.
Yeah have to agree with that. I've always skipped the live ones. That being said I also skip whenever they start talking about flying or internal RT planning. So pretty much every episode the last few years.
Ya absolutely agree it's awesome that people can go see it but for most of us it just makes things worse
But I mean Off Topic Live is normally pretty good. I think their podcast lends itself to a crowd more since their always distracted anyways, plus more drinks for Michel.
AslyChair totally agree off topic live is way better then when the rt podcast is live
Gavin or Gaggles pretty good live from the RT podcast, but I think it works better when their just getting into deep (and stupid) conversations with themselves where they can focus more and say more of what the want to say without worrying about the live crowd.

I grew up in Michigan and have lived in the Midwest my entire life. We use the air raid sirens for tornadoes and other severe weather

Sirens for tornadoes? Sometimes they do monthly testing and we forget what they were. (also from the Midwest)

air raid noise is very familiar in kansas specifically for this reason
I live in Oklahoma and they test the sirens every Saturday at noon. My friends live a couple hundred feet from one, and I could feel the siren in my skull.
Luke Trapwalker In Indiana we test the sirens every Tuesday I believe.

Favorite part of the podcast was when they were all conversing about if the podcast should be called Sunday Monday Egg, and Ashley sat off the set with a look of utter confusion as to why egg is involved. Her world had been rocked.
It's been so long since I consistently listened to these. Probably a good 200-300 podcasts. Good to be back

On what "Decriminalization" means.
It is against the law to drive a car with a broken taillight. If a cop pulls you over, they can't just take you to jail and press criminal charges against you for it, but they CAN fine you. This is how "Decriminalized Marijuana" works, if an officer of the law finds you in possession of marijuana, they can fine you but they can't send you to prison (for simply possession)
This, however, is not how it works in most of the U.S. where if the officer of the law were so inclined, they can impose stronger punishment for simply possession.
I love the 3 teirs to the podcasts, teir 1 calm which is the rt podcast, teir 2 less calm which is always open, and teir 3 full crazy is off topic, love it😂😂❤❤
I'm in Liverpool, England, and almost every day a local warehouse in Woolton sounds an old air raid siren - so I grew up going to primary school and hearing this air raid siren going off almost everyday and it's definitely cool for a load of little kids
I'm from Newcastle, I have heard people using poke in that context but only when i was a lot younger, probably about like 10 years ago at least. Very rarely hear it now.

Many of their jobs can be taken by robots. Editors, animators, entertainers, etc. Most, if not all, of their jobs can be eventually taken by robots.

I'm actually from Grand Blanc and those sirens are for tornadoes. They test them on Saturdays at 1pm during the spring time. Its cool to hear my town mentioned!

Most beers have about a one year expiration time. A lot of hard liquors do not have expiration dates
Air raid sirens always make me think of some sort of immediate danger lurking by.

Not sure if it's all of Scotland, but in my area we have *5 bins. Five.*
Green - general non-recyclable waste
Grey - little bin (between size of toaster & breadbin), kept in kitchen for food waste
Brown - food from grey transferred there and garden clipping etc.
Blue - paper, cans, plastic etc for recycling
Purple - glass bottles
Burnie's talk on automaton and jobs is so true. CGP Grey did a video called "Human need not apply" 3 years ago on the subject that is an excellent discussion on how the rate of job creation doesn't match job automaton. So scary yet accurate today.
in regards to teachers teaching wrong, one of my maths teachers taught me that a dozen was 10.

I miss rocking up to the supermarket and getting plastic bags there, but in the end it's probably a good thing that I don't use so many of them. LDPE (the non-rigid stuff) is quite hard to recycle into other products.

Tornado sirens in PA in my town are tested every first Thursday of the month. They are air raid sirens too
