That's why I removed the fly bar weights. It helps provide a bit more maneuverability in light wind.
can you tell me where you got the mini camra from and how did you get it to hook up to your laptop?
The problem with these smaller hobbyist copters is that any type of wind will knock it down. It would have to a perfectly clear no wind day.
can you use it on your phone instead of in the computer
Use small cell phone batteries in series...use two of them and the weight gonna be half of that. you had with your 9 volts battery

Have you thought of using one of those "23A" batteries instead of the 9V one? They're 12V so depending on your camera specs you may need a few diodes to drop the voltage but I'm sure they're a lot lighter even if you have to use two in parallel to get enough current.
The camera housing and lens may need to be re-engineered as well to strip more weights.

you can just stick the helicopter to the digital scale with some tape to get how much it can lift preciselly

I have an even smaller cam that works with these flat batteries but I wouldnt get a live video feed with it
I have a $20 mini camera which uses a micro sd card and built in rechargable battery. I'm planning to get a helicopter to test it out.

Lithium 9v batteries are lighter weight than regular alkalines. ;)

Its not a RC Engine, its a very tiny motor, there are no safety things for it, the motor is far too small to be dangerous. I've burnt out tons of em and all they do is stop spinning...
