In a thrilling encounter during their training camp in Turkey, Levski Sofia suffered their second defeat, this time falling 1-2 to the Ukrainian side Oleksandria. The only goal for the "Blues" came from Ricardinho's penalty kick in the first half. Levski endured another setback as they conceded a comeback in their second consecutive friendly match.
The drama unfolded early in the 8th minute when Plamen Andreev made a crucial error, allowing Andrii Kulakov to snatch the ball from him. Despite the initial mishap, Andreev managed to intervene and make a crucial save.
In the 13th minute, Welton embarked on a solo run, breaking through the left flank, cutting inside, and unleashing a shot just over the crossbar.
Patrick-Gabriel Galchev attempted a free-kick in the 19th minute, but it sailed wide.
Levski seemed to have found the net in the 31st minute, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside. Tsunami delivered a cross into Oleksandria's box, where Ricardinho was unmarked and slotted the ball into the net past Nikita Shevchenko. However, a foul was called on the striker.
The referee awarded Levski a penalty in the 38th minute after Evgeni Smirnyi fouled Kellian van der Kaap. Van der Kaap was tripped by Smirnyi, leading to a penalty. Ricardinho converted the penalty in the 39th minute, placing the ball in the bottom right corner and giving the "Blues" a 1-0 lead.
Oleksandria managed to equalize just before halftime in the 45th minute. Kulakov received an excellent pass and, with a well-placed shot, found the top right corner of Plamen Andreev's goal.
In the 50th minute, Welton intercepted the ball from Oleksandria's player at the center circle. The Brazilian sprinted forward, reached the penalty area, set up the ball on his right foot, and fired low towards the bottom right corner, but the goalkeeper dived and made the save.
Oleksandria completed the turnaround in the 62nd minute. A right-wing breakthrough was followed by a cross into Levski's penalty area, where Denis Kostyshyn, unmarked by Patrick-Gabriel Galchev, slotted the ball past Plamen Andreev.
Despite several opportunities, Levski failed to level the score. Nikolay Mihaylov made a crucial save in the 84th minute, and Levski's late attempts were denied by the Oleksandria goalkeeper.
