That interview was a couple of hours too short. I've been reading Kevin for decades but that's an advantage to being an old man. Pure genius and national treasure.

Cycle Magazine: Kevin Cameron, Harvard; Cook Neilson, Princeton and Gordon Jennings, no college, were the most prolific trio of writers and enthusiasts to ever write for a motorcycle magazine.

Fantastic as everything Kevin is. Reading Mike Sinclair's book I was amazed how much they modified Gp bikes in the 80's and 90's.

That's what finished Mike Baldwin's career: when his his bike leaned out and siezed on the 170 mph curving straight away through the forest at HOKENHEIM.

As a kid from Indiana in about 7th grade, I was reading Cycle World at the News Agency and Kevin was explaining everything that went on when you actually tightened and torqued a head on an engine. My life was forever changed from reading that article. I never thought of anything the same ever again. Bolt stretching, gasket compressing, etc. etc. 10 years ago, 40 years later, I was actually walking next to Kevin and told him how he changed my life with that article. He acted like I had bad breath and was a bug flying around his head annoying him. Maybe it was a bad day for him. But, I've met a lot of my hero's and he is by far the biggest disappointment ever.

I am really sorry to hear that. Like yourself, I always loved his writing and assumed he was a nice guy. Hopefully, he is a happy/nice guy and was just having a bad day.
