Its kinda cool how they actually remembered that Roxy was the animatronic that was made to make kids have more confidence, and then when she was trapped, she was reassuring Cassie that kids would come to her party this time.
It also means she had a party no one came too. And Gregory may be her new and only friend. Which is why she tryed to save him without thinking of...

Oh i thought he was making fun of people who were sad about it i really dont understand when hes doing that sad face sarcastically and when its actually heartfelt god dammit😭
The creepy fact that Candy Cadets story was the story of the actual game. Almost every line the mimic said was a line Gregory used from the first game and Candy Cadets story of a 'monster learning the lullaby overtime' was so freaking scary bro.
Woah so like his story from Pizzeria Simulator?
Wait, how does he know what was going on? Wasnt candy cated like last active in fnaf ps?
@@Arnut.Mappingyes but he’s been under the pizzaplex the entire time because it’s built on top of the pizzeria simulator location. He could’ve seen it all go down. But I don’t think the devs were all that concerned about how candy cadet “knew.” He’s more of a story-telling/ lore device
Man, the scene with Roxy made me realize just how unique all the animatronics are. Both Freddy and Roxy have kids that they had a connection to, and most likely that means that Monty and Chica did too. All of them, despite being robots, feel emotion, make decisions, and can make bonds with people.
Oh yeah the animatronics are inherently tragic. They were given too much intellect for their own good, stuck with volatile personality traits, and secretly created to advance the schemes of a long dead child murderer.
@@003dylan Mhm, and I feel like for the most part, they aren't aware of it either, at least not originally
@@zenoluvswof9936 Agreed, if they knew all that then Freddy would have told Gregory about it and not been so confused why his bandmates were acting out.
@@003dylan Yep, the story of Security Breach could've also been changed drastically if they knew, but since they don't we don't ever get to see how that would play out
Ngl based on Monty’s history I think he actually is just an asshole 😂
Actually, Cassie's dad owning a faz wrench helps paint a picture of her backstory. Her father is a technician for the building, so he likely got a discount for hosting a party for his daughter. Unfortunately, she didn't really have many friends (or any at all), so on her birthday, nobody showed. This left the animatronic on scene, Roxie, to comfort her and try and "make her special day extra special". So Roxie became her favorite animatronic due to a personal connection.
Also explains how she got first place twice in the races. It was just her and Roxy, and Roxy let her win.
Gregory isn't a great friend to Cassie, not showing up to her birthday and later straight up killing her 💀
@@hanhong2267 Either that or she referenced it because "first place twice" being the 11th and being able to remember it easier.

@@ACME223Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.

Roxy saying that she was sure her friends would show up this time, like they didn’t show up before, was the saddest thing ever, because I can only imagine seeing Cassie crying in a corner and Roxy showed up to give her carrot cake and be her friend. That must make the whole situation of Cassie shutting Roxy down a whole lot sadder.
Fun detail to notice: Cassie does her nail polish in green... to match with Roxy's green claws.
@@boanoah6362, I got the impression that Roxy did her nails at the party.

cassie: i’m so, so sorry, roxy.
mark: i mean, she’s just a robot she can turn back on it isn’t THAT sad.
Hello pookie
She literally does to save Cassie at the end, she just gets turned back on, it wasn't *that* big of a deal. lol
I think it's the fear that she won't be the same when turned back on
@MaskedReviews Roxy was straight up fighting the corruption in her system before getting deactivated... Feels far-fetched.
Security Breach has always been filled with plot holes, it's more likely that the developers only focused on the fact they wanted an emotional moment between cassie and roxy that tug at the heartstrings to build up a twist at the end.
They just didnt proof check their stuff as usual 🤷♂️ Pretty sure that's why Mark doesn't look as interested in the story, that's my guess
Mark instantly remembering candy cadet despite generally being somewhat clueless about fnaf lore is my new favourite thing
He had to endure a lot of his bs back in the Pizzeria Simulator game not giving him stories lmao

All I know is some kids died
@@Ranger-overWhy do you have that at the end of all your comments?
Oh, wait, it’s a bot, nevermind.
Heads up! The reason the last wet floor sign didn't show up is because it has to be done all in one sitting. If you go into the chapter select, it breaks and you have to start a new game. Dawko confirmed with the developers that this is an issue that will be resolved in the next patch, but for now if you jump chapters it renders the secret impossible to get!
Like and comment so we can get Mark to see this, so he doesn't waste another several hours looking for things when it won't even work!
But when Mark reloaded chapters, the floories were already deactivated. So this would imply a simple restart isn't enough, but one would need a whole new save and do everything perfect from the start.
Why are some devs so incompetent that they can't even write and read simple data? It's really not hard.
Oohhhhh 😮😮😮😮
E
Hopefully the next patch will come out soon because making mark do the entire game again for it isn't fair XD
@@Alphasoldier He did say he was probably just going to speed run the game just to make sure. So hopefully this actually can happen.
At least Cassie's friend did show up for her in the end. Roxy is a real ride-or-die, "will come save you even if you murder her" friend.
PS: There was no cutscene missed by skipping the credits. It's literally just darkness and then you hear Roxy say Cassie's name to imply that either Roxy came to get her out, or Roxy got got and it's the whole voice sampling schtick again.
thanks for the info. I was looking all over for a post-credits scene lmao
As a kid who didn't have anyone show up to their party when I was little, this part I felt in my core. I wouldn't have been able to play any further. I saw little Cassie holding up her two little fingers to say "this many" when asked hold old she was turning.
That’s so sad. Don’t worry, we would ALL love to come to your party, and wish you a happy birthday.
"I am sure you're friends will show up this time."
Easily the hardest line in the entire DLC.
So crazy that they literally abandon her by dropping the elevator she’s in
that shit got me on a personal experience level
“It was the eleventh, wasn’t it? I remember because you’re number one, twice” absolutely destroyed me. So many broken, lonely kids in these stories, and they always end up having to take care of each other.
It especially hard hitting because the "I remember because you are number 1" is for the one animatronic that has a huge ego
Not only that Roxy is my dogs name...
your*
Gotta hand it to steel wool for making me care about roxy. Thought she was just an egotistical robot, but she really cares about the kids and is nice to the ones that dont hit her with a car.
I was like true true true until “hit her with a car” and I busted out laughing 🤣🤣🤣 I think she’d forgive him though if she just got her eyes back
@@foxetfright9709I couldn’t agree more, I was serious to creasing within seconds
@@J-ORDAN fr same
@@J-ORDANYOU SERVE *ZERO* PURPOSE
tbf, I think Roxy was only egotistical because the glitch trap virus in addition to making the animatronics hunt down Gregory, also exacerbated their negative traits and bad habits (Chica being more of a glutton, Monty being way more aggressive ect) at least that's the theory I went with when the base game came out.
Timeline wise: This doesn't actually have to be that far in the future. Abandoned buildings can become completely dilapidated within months. More so, if you're counting squatters and homeless people using the place for shelter. The amount of trash and graffiti seen throughout the Pizzaplex actually attests to people coming in and ransacking the place. It's not that unrealistic. (Apologies for the late reply-only just catching up on this playthrough, months later! XD)
That’s supported by the fact that we can assume Gregory and cassie are around similar ages if they know each other and she’s still a child
On one of the walls in the very beginning someone grafittied "I spent a night here and LIVED" so, yeah, people have been coming in here.
I wonder how many times Mark saw the message about unsaved progress being lost before he realized it meant that unsaved progress will be lost.
In this whole DLC you can see Roxy isnt hacked anymore. When she thought Cassie was Gregory she caught her and simply demanded her eyes back. No murder. Then she learned it wasn't Gregory and she let go and apologized. Then we get to her being stuck and she regonized Cassie and was so sweet to her. Then even after being deactivated by Cassie she somehow reactivates and saves Cassie. Roxy is truly the best.
The fact that she not only reactivated herself but found the robot strength to free herself after we find her stuck, then follow Cassie while blind means her hearing and pathing is incredibly efficient. The only reason she probably failed to find Gregory in the base game is because she's struggling against the hack, it demeaning her sure didn't help.
@@starkiller1289 Roxy probably heard Cassie crying when leaving the area and followed her through her hearing.
Well if she murders him she won’t get her eyes back?
Honestly she was always my favorite exactly because she was narcissistic and insecure she seemed the most human it made it easier for me to sympathize with her. And now… she’s definitely the best to me!
@griffpratte7476 she was always my favorite too.
i can't get over how mark got actually emotional about shutting Roxy off and matpat just dgaf 😭😭

I would wanna cry just hacking roxy after what she said 🥲
That scene was so sweet how Roxy remembered Cassie
@lpcurse3042 Maybe he's gone over the books and the games and every little bit of information to the point where he's entirely numb to all the story beats. Kids dying, animatronics being possessed, every time those story beats are retold it all just looks the same to him, no matter how emotional it may be, bc he's gone over them so many times lol
18:40 How funny would it be if that was the ending? Gregory just gets run over by a forklift and you get a game over. "That's what happens when you operate a forklift without proper certification!"
Fucking hilarious.
the way Roxy is the last security node... protecting Cassie to the very end 🥺
Roxy being so sweet makes me understand better how the kids in the FNAF universe could love the characters/pizza place so much. It's not like Chuck E. Cheese, it's more like if Mickey Mouse was at your local pizza place instead of Disneyland. No wonder Cassie was crying, I'd cry about that too.

@@bc3839 The Mimic looks nothing like circus baby?
I noticed that Roxy started talking in the same tone of voice that Freddy did to Greg when she say Cass. I'm assuming it's some programing designed to talk in a more reassuring and kind voice to a child that they're protecting/taking care of/whatever. This would also make sense why they don't talk to Greg like that considering they're trying to kill him

Rollercoaster of emotion
at the end when gregory was talking the microphone cut off, and then gregory said he had to leave her behind, so it could have been the mimic
I love how the Candy cadet literally tells you about the Mimic, and how it was able to learn human speech to mimic people and lure them into ''the basement''.
He didn't get to the part where it tells him that the monster lured him down. He missed the last coin
@@pinkclouds1292yea but I feel like you get the idea after the 4th part of the story
@@ScapeVEVO I agree but I will say I only pieced it all together after we found the mimic, that last part wasn't needed but would have definitely helped.
@@justsomeone7838 It's just like how the AI in the building can reconstruct Cassie and Gregory's voice after having a sample of it. Gregory doesn't need to have said those actual lines, the Mimic is taking a sample of his voice and using it to generate speech that sounds like Gregory. They could say anything if they have enough of a sample.
Cassidy has to go into the books as the dumbest protagonist of all time. 0% of people in Cassidy’s shoes who listen to the most ominous Candy Cadet story akin to one’s EXACT current situation would continue to go into the basement WITHOUT calling the FBI at this point. RUIN is essentially just “Blatant Foreshadowing: The Game” lmfao
What struck me the most about Mark's entire playthrough is the fact that he was genuinely saddened by Roxy's death. I didn't think he had any emotional attachment to these characters (Especially Monty and Roxy.), But once again, Mark proved me wrong. I didn't really like Roxy that much, but dang, the deactivation scene was rough.
Yeah, I don't think SB did a good job at making you care for the characters they introduced. Until that scene with Roxy; it gives both Cassie and Roxy more depth and makes us see Roxy in different light.
It's because Security Breach has all of them, except Freddy (and I'd honestly say Sun, too) be one-note due to what happened to their programming. You only get to see them as crazed killers and not sentient robots with their own personalities and worries.
You get a glimpse of Roxy's self-esteem issues in Security Breach, but it's really easy to interrupt and thus never see to the full extent. Monty, Chica, and Moon don't entirely have much going for them that humanizes them. You can hear Chica crying when she's hunting you sometimes, but that's mostly it, as well.
I wish they did try making the other characters have likable quirks in the original game, even if it's just done in notes to collect. (Especially Monty! Since he's only written as the aggressive one, and I wish he had more nuance than that).
Mark: "I didn't know it had to save!"
Also Mark: clicks past a warning the unsaved progress will be lost every time he exited to menu 😂
To be fair, we knew Gregory was cold-blooded after he decided in seconds to dismantle the other animatronics to upgrade Freddy. Freddy even makes it clear he doesn't want Gregory to do it, and Gregory doesn't hesitate for a second.
yeah true but I need to know what happened to him and why he's so cold hearted at his age, like he's a little kid what trauma did he go through to be like this
@@squidbrains4683Gregory _has_ to be an Afton kid
@@partysuviusmaybe he’s just an evil hobo goblin child
Ok there is a difference in "murdering" a robot and dropping your childhood friend down an elevator shaft. That boy is a serial killer and I wouldn't be surprised if future games or books or whatever were all about the kids who went missing thanks to Gregory protecting his new superstar
To be fair they are robots with (to his acknowledge) no real conscience, so considering his age and his attachment (and need of help) to Freddy, so I thought it made sense he didn't care about what he was doing to the other animatronics as long as it helped Freddy and himself. I didn't think he was cold-blooded; but just had a more mature/disconnected way of thinking.

no ones talking about how when he saw Gregorys backpack and said "Gregory thats Gregorys backpack" he sounded just like Freddy
From the first time I watched gameplay of Security Breach, I could tell that Roxy was something else. She was unusually emotionally complex for just another hostile animatronic. I felt sorry for the Glamrock animatronics, and what had to happen to them, but I felt the most for Roxy, because her sorrow after losing her eyes felt the most human. I'm glad they continued her humanization in this add-on, it felt like she really deserved the whole arc they gave her here.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go ugly cry about that deactivation scene 😭
I will admit, the whole deactivating Roxy scene put a lump in my throat, but seeing her reactivated and defending Cassie was, to me, a wholesome moment..

Realizing how important Roxy is to Cassie and how important Cassie is to Roxy shows how Gregory was the problem who caused too much trouble. Cassie cares deeply for all the animatronics since it is implied that her father must have been a worker at the Mega Pizzaplex. Therefore, it explains her close bond with all the animatronics. Cassie felt awful to see all her beloved animatronics, especially Roxy, who is her favourite, deteriorate.
Cassie caring so much about the animatronics is a great antithesis to Gregory giving the least shits about brutally murdering them. it also contributes really well to that theory that gregory was too poor to afford going to the Pizzaplex, since he had no Fazbear Customer Profile for Freddy to recognize and he doesnt care about the animatronics like Cassie does becasue of it. Cassie has a great relationship with Roxy, she adores her and killing her was the hardest thing in the world for her. She knows all the animatronics and loves them, she is full of worry every time she sees them. Not for her own life but what hurt her friends this way?
Not just that, it sounds like her dad worked there. She probably spent an unusually high amount of time with the animatronics, and might know them better than the average kid.
Not only the way Gregory just kills her off at the end without a second thought 😓

What hit me even harder was that is the credits its implied Roxy tried to save her in the elevator even after she plummeted, compared to Gregory directly betraying her to prevent the basement animatronic from following her out knowing dang well he defeated 3 other animatronics in the past. Roxy was a true friend to Cassie.
The story that Candy Cadet was telling is basically representing what’s going on in the game, the mother being Gregory and the lullaby that the ‘mother’ would tell was his voice, the monster was copying it to get Cassie(‘the mothers child’) to the basement
The fact that Mark genuinely felt guilty about hurting Roxy and hearing Cassie Cry!

Gregory cutting off the elevator mechanism saying he couldn't let the animatronic escape was the best ending right after guessing that it wasn't Gregory on the radio. Like that's just cold, twisted, unexpected, and I fucking love it.
It actually doesnt make much sense, since Gregory is a kid, that hadn't cold behaviour before, he develops care for Freddy and saves Vanessa. He helped Cassie to achieve the elevator to kill her right after? Why didn't he let her with the mimic then, if he realized it was a bad idea to set her free?

Am I the only one who cried about Roxy? It's a whole new side of her that I can't help but love. Got me right in the feels
i was just thinking abt this. as fans of the game, people from the outside looking in, we've been conditioned to have little empathy for any animatronic bc we see them as horrific ruthless killers. but that scene was probably one of the only times in the franchise where we get to see what the animatronics really are the the vast, vast majority of people in-universe: beloved characters of a popular children's franchise. characters that were built to be kind, loving, empathetic, and teach good morals. they're all just victims of freak accidents and terrible crimes. idk it had me feeling some typa way lol

Mark getting emotional at roxy talking to cassie is just so wholesome and just sad.
Will you go to Heaven when you die?

@@tife0612 that would create a weird timeline. How did she have the party when Gregory was already gone and the animatronics broken
@@tife0612the line implies that her birthday party was at the pizzeria, seeing as roxy knew when her birthday was and celebrated it with carrot cake

The candy cadet was basically explaining the story with Cassie, Gregory and the mimic thing. Where cassie is the "child", Gregory is the "mother" and the mimic is the "monster". in the first security breach somehow the mimic was able to learn Gregory's speech to lure Cassie which is symbolised as the monster learning the mother's lullaby to lure in the child.
I was literally thinking about what that story could have been about, maybe something from one of the previous games. But what you said would make perfect sense.
Wow who would’ve guessed
Roxy telling Cassie she's sure her friends will show up this time hit me so much harder than I thought it would and I was bawling my eyes out because in that moment I was Cassie. I experienced that exact thing. Having no friends coming to my birthday party, and as an adult I still don't know what it feels like to have a party thrown for just me with friends. I connect so much more with Cassie than Gregory, which I'm sure was intentional and damn I didn't think I'd be so SAD.
"any unsaved progress will be lost"

Okay but it was actually heart breaking to see what Roxy used to be like before the virus ruined her programming. Just imagine, they ALL used to be like that. Their default state is to help and love kids, and the virus twists that into something dark and evil. I know they're just robots - but in a way, they're victims just as much as the humans are. They never wanted this. They never wanted to hurt anyone. Freddy told us that in the main game, and Roxy proves it here.

The first time I heard the “technician” part was in Sister Location with the two technicians BUT it’s most likely not Cassie’s dad because they died in Sister Location time
She could have visited the pizzaplex before and Roxy just remembered her in security breach Freddy says gregory is not in the database cuz they’re supposed to remember everyone that comes there
I think her dad was a mechanic there, yeah, but isn't the idea supposed to be that the animatronics are designed to remember kids names and birthdays and stuff? Like obviously that's a ridiculous concept BUT its not the most ridiculous thing in this universe lol
