A great hilltop to watch the Kenmore Beavers traverse from Lk Washington to Puget Sound is the Seattle suburb of Mountlake Terrace.
I grew up there and the neighborhood seemed to always ring with that Pratt and Whitney radial because there was always one flying over.
Good times.
Simpler times
Great plane , it will haul so much
For an airplane nerd like me, this is super entertaining. thanks for the content.
When the Beaver was in design and the company surveyed bush pilots to list the specs for their dream bush plane, de Havilland, after analyzing the responses was said to have said; "What they want is a pick-up truck with wings"....so that's what he gave them.
Beautiful footage and a perfect product intro and explanations. We enjoyed this footage very much. We look ahead for more top notch CZcams. Thanks 🙏🏼
What an awesome plane!
I like your vdeo.... I'm one of aviation lover... 👌🛩🛩
Amazing content!
Thank you so much! Its very heartwarming to hear, i do put a lot of effort in research of these amazing planes!
0:46 That is a Norseman not a beaver
They had turbo beavers in alaska 1970. Mickey.Puzic. was pilot
So... how did the Beaver save Alaska?
The beaver chewed down enough trees to let them escape Alaska and get to Canada? 😁 Just joking. 🤣
The GOOD mods
Why is nobody make them today
de Havilland Aircraft Canada Company was eventually bought out by Bombardier Canada Inc. (The inventor and manufacturer of the snowmobile, who also produced; business jets, buses, streetcars and light rail trains) and with the stroke of a pen, the new CEO killed the manufacture of the Beaver, believing that the money was in business jets.
The Beaver is still one of the greatest airplanes ever. I have several thousand hours flying one in the Canadian bush.
