    Believe means to trust in, rely on, adhere to, abide in/by, follow after, obey. 1 Corinthians 15:2 By which also ye are saved, IF ye hold fast in memory THE WORD I PREACHED unto you, unless ye have BELIEVED IN VAIN.Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but IF thou WANT TO ENTER INTO LIFE, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS. Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: for this is the whole duty of man. Enter in at the straight gate through repentance and baptism. Reconcile yourself back to the Father by acknowledging Jesus as the Son of God, and take upon the atonement which is his shed blood. From that point pick up your cross and follow Christ daily in his ways and his teachings. Which was the commandments of the Father and the two greatest commandments being, love your God with all you heart, mind, might, and soul. And the second, which encompasses all the commandments, is like unto the first, which is, love one another as you would have them love you. That's the true gospel of salvation. Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:14 because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, AND FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT. Matthew 7:21 Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; BUT HE THAT DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out demons? And in thy name done many miracles?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work LAWLESSNESS.24 Therefore whosoever HEARETH these sayings of mine, and DOETH them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon the rock. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 2 Esdras(4 Ezra) 15:24 Woe to them that sin and keep not my commandments, saith the Lord.27 For now are the plagues come upon the whole earth, and ye shall remain in them, for God shall not deliver you, because ye have sinned against him. Obey the word of God as it is written, and not the opinions and false interpretations of man. Your controversy is with Jesus Christ, and not me, if you don't agree with this message. These are his words, not mine, as it is written. God bless you all. I pray this message blesses you. So be it.

    So, since I was born again in my teens, yet fell away for a season and now am in my 50’s having come back to faith very strongly, I have not “persevered”? I’m as saved as anyone else who has trusted in the death and resurrection of Christ. Sure I’ve led a life of sin, and EVERYONE sins in thoughts, words or deeds daily if you’re being honest with yourself.
    I don’t get this Calvinist stuff…my KJV bible says all who trust in the gospel shall be saved. Once Jesus has you in his glory, he shall not let go of that.
    God bless you all. ✝️❤️‍🔥🙏😊

    “For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life”, this cancels what you are saying pastor Larson, there is no elimination by God of anyone but it is in our free will to believe or not to choose to believe. The gift is there for every one to accept but not every one wants it or believe that is for them so they do not take it. God did not chose who will or will not believe, that would remove our free will that He Himself gave us. We are not created as robots, He wants us to freely choose to love and accept His salvation. This is what I choose to believe, I love Him because He is my creator, Savior and my LORD.

    • @HearGodsWord
      @HearGodsWord Před rokem +4

      God does choose. Its through grace alone that we're saved, but you don't agree

      So, what you are claiming is that after the Fall man's will was not effected. Fallen sinners did not need to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit, given the gift of faith by the Holy Spirit, given a new heart and new desires by the Holy Spirit. Fallen sinners have the natural ability to choose eternal life. That's Pelagianism.

    • @olgaburgos7780
      @olgaburgos7780 Před rokem

      @@carmensiekierke3579 where did you get that from? God doesn’t impose His will, He wants us freely choose Him and His salvation, that is what I said.

      @@olgaburgos7780 How can a fallen sinner " freely chose" eternal life without the Holy Spirit first regenerating the fallen sinner?

    • @e.t.h.559
      @e.t.h.559 Před rokem +3

      I think that … Ephesians 2:1-10 is key, “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins.” Without Christ, people are spiritually dead. Dead people cannot do anything. A spiritually dead person can no more do anything to remedy that situation than a physically dead person can climb out of a grave. Therefore, God must regenerate people, making them spiritually alive, before they can trust in Christ as Savior.
