What surprised me is that twice a purse was left in a highly tourist areas for many hours, and when we returned to retrieve it, not only were they still there, but nothing was missing. Not a single shekel. ❤️ Israel so much. Been there 6 times and planning my next. I represent millions of Evangelical Christians in the US, Canada, and around the world who love and support Israel. It does feel like home, in a way. However, once outside of the typical tourist areas and without a tour group, it can feel a little lonelier, especially if one does not know Hebrew or have friends/family to eat Shabbat dinner with.

The last question at 21:05 is something people should listen to as it is an extremely common feeling among non-Israeli Jews. Our history, our culture, our holy book, our stories and (most) of our genes originate from the area of modern day Israel. That feeling cannot be fully described but it is something deep that cannot be erased, and that a lot of people don’t want to understand. Praying for peace in Israel/Palestine, salaam, shalom❤️

    • @sheilanixon913
      @sheilanixon913 Před rokem +10

The Askenazim, as well as the Sephardic Jews also Have genes which show that they are Middle Eastern and not European.Their ancestors migrated north from Italy into what is now Germany.and then east towards Russia.over 1200 years ago. Their strict marriage laws meant and still mean that they do not intermarry with non Jews .The Christian Arabs in the Holy Land are the Descendants of the Samaritans , who were part Israelite and part ASSyrian , who were brought to the Holy Land after 727 BC.Modern Jews all have their ancestry in Judea , and Galilee , the real""Palestinians "" come from Samaria/ West Bank , but the Muslim Arabs come from Saudi Arabia, the Yemen and Oman. DNA studies are showing that these facts are correct.
The Iranians allege that there was no Holocaust , and that 6 million European Jews migrated to Israel after 1948.The full lists of all the jews who were murdered , were found in the Government Offices in East Berlin, in the former East GErmany , in 1991. This has enabled the tiny remnant of Jews who survIved the Camps , to go to the International Court in Geneva, and claim their ancestors' money and property back , from The Germans and the SWiss, who were not as neutral as the yalleged in World War 2 . Also the British Government did not allow any Jews into the Holy Land from 1917 to 1948 as The British Foreign Office was and still is pro Arab. This is why we have Anti Semitism , because our Government will not crack down on Anti-Semitism properly. The Germans also murdered 900.00 Roma or Gypsy people in Europe , who hqave never received any compensation, plus 2 million Germans who were mentally ill. The Mental Hospitals were emptied from 1941 to 1944.
There can be forgiveness but the Germans have to always bear the guilt about the people murdered by their grand=parents and great grandparents. These guilty people DID KNOW , biut kept their eyes and mouths shut.

I believe there is a special connection between all Jews and the land. I believe it is a spiritual connection even for non-observant Jews. For some reason, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob chose these people and this land for His purposes. There will always be Jews in the land from now on. The people who fight against this will only bring trouble on themselves. Doesn’t mean Arabs can’t live in proximity with some type of self-government, but the Jews need to be in charge for their own protection.
How can anyone deny God’s hand in the modern state of Israel? They came from all over the world back to their ancient ancestral homeland. The Hebrew language has been revived. They’ve been victorious in so many wars when they were outgunned outmanned. They now control their ancient capital Jerusalem, and are slowly filling up Judea and Samaria.
So many in the world have turned against Israel because the older generations who knew about and understood the Holocaust have passed on, and the new generations have only heard Arab propaganda. The UN singles out Israel for the most amount of resolutions every year condemning it. But it doesn’t matter. The Jews are back in the land and will remain so, and I rejoice at this. ♥️

    - The segregation in Jerusalem without any walls and hard borders (Old Town and West/East Jerusalem)
    - The difference between two cities, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in just 50km is astonishing. Feels like they're capitals of two different countries.
    - Rav Kav system
    - Military in Jerusalem everywhere, 18yo cadets roaming through the city with weapons everywhere
    - How building facades in Tel Aviv and roads/sidewalks are unmantained. For a rich city like that it's a shame
    - How tall the segregation wall is
    - How dirty the palestinian territories are. Trash everywhere, shame
    - Palestinians still have a smile and go on day by day even if they have so many difficulties in their lives
    - I head that Israelis are direct and they have no problem talking with you, but I didn't imagine that they could be so open. Not even southern Italy is that open

The conflict between Palestinians and Israelis is ideological and not personal. One could say the ideology becomes personal, but in reality there is far more cooperation than conflict. On the fringes as in Gaza there is personal hatreds and radicalism, but in Israel and the West Bank there is mostly cooperation. Big problem now is the fringe radical Jews that Netanyahu brought into the Israeli government. But even this will pass and normalcy and cooperation will prevail.

On the looks of it israel looks about as rich as greece .. maybe spain. But it is actually way richer than either. In fact, GDP per capita in israel now is higher than germany's and just below Sweden's. So are the salaries in Israel, the average salary is somewhere between the uk and sweden. The thing is, israel got very rich very fast and the development of the serroundings comes with a delay when compared to the actual growth of the economy. Today the whole country feels like a big construction site. Roads, trains, trams, metros, new neighbourhoods, renovations and urban renewals, tens of new skyscrapers some over 1000 ft... I bet that by 2048 (israel's centennial) israel will be on par, in terms of aesthetics and mass transit, with western/northern europe.

The only "foreign aid" comes from the US and it is not foreign aid it is 3 billion dollar worth of coupons to buy from American arms manufacturers. Which is basically the US investing in its own military industry. In return, israel tests, tweaks and updates the weapons and gives crucial feedback to the R&D deparments of these companies and to the US government itself. In addition, israel helps the US further its interests in the region without having to put an american boot on the ground because the israelis can fight the wars themselves. Add to that the fact that the tech giants in the US are dependent on the israeli tech sector for a lot of their R&D and cybersecurity services. 20% of the fortune 500 companies have R&D centers in israel, which means trillions are on stake here. *Israeli* companies alone, in NY alone generated around 30 billion dollars to the local economy. The terror attacks are just a symptom but they are scary to deal with even if they are not as often as they used to be during the Second Intifada (although there is a growing fear in me of a third Intifada..)
I also fear that the country will no longer be democratic if Bibi passes his machiavellian justice reform, which sucks.
But overall the country is considered very safe.
Most people are kind and welcoming, and they go out of their way to help people in their communities.

Your misrepresentation of Tel Aviv is unfortunate. The city is booming with new tall and beautiful buildings and incredible restoration projects are happening in south Tel Aviv too. Many buildings are definitely at crumble point, but the way you said it sounded like the whole of Tel Aviv looks like that.

@@eclark3849 There were always Jews here who remained just about 10 thousand while there were 150 thousand Muslims here. As far as the Muslims are concerned, almost a third of them arrived here only during the British Mandate period and you can also see it by their surnames that they are Syrians, Egyptians or tribes from Jordan and turks some of them even blondes. No one cares if they call themselves Palestinians or not, that's their right, but there are facts on the ground. Even in fact if you say that Jews came from other countries most of the Jews who live in Israel like my family came from territories controlled by the Ottoman Empire so that still means that my family was here first... I'm tired of hearing from people about theft of territories and everything let us live in peace. in the country the State of Israel following the War of Independence almost all the Arab countries expelled the Jews and therefore they came to the State of Israel and became the dominant religion in the country. A simple history of a thing that led to a thing.
