    If I had to guess, while Donnie's staff seems to reach further than the others due to the attacking animation, all of the turtles probably have the same actual hitbox when they attack. It makes sense to make them all functionally identical so that you can pick your favorite rather than the best one, and it's an easy shortcut to take with the programming.

      @corruleumblue3317 Před 3 lety +3

    Something else to note, about the turtle popularity and expectation, I find Leo generally gets the short end of the bo staff when it comes to popularity in fans, usually because while the other three tend to get some easily definable traits among them, Leo just kind of gets stuck with "the leader" as his only defining trait, and even then depending on your writer that can vary between being an effective one or slightly egotistical, depending on who you ask, which series you watch, and so on.
    Generally speaking, since he's usually cast as so middle-of-the-road, poor Leo gets saddled with being the "boring" turtle for most.

    Today's Cool Turtle Fact, inspired by the wet pizza comment! Real-life aquatic turtles cannot eat outside of water: they need water to wash down food. Even if they are given food out of water, they will retreat to the nearest source of water to swallow it. In that regard, depending on what kind of turtles the... Turtles... are, wet pizza may actually be better for them!

    Yeah, Donatello also seemed to have a wider range to me. maybe it's just psychological because of the staff, or maybe you just instinctively try to hit form further because of it, but that's certainly how it feels.

    I had this game as a kid, I never played the second one, and I didn't even know a third one existed. I would love to see you LP the second and third ones.

    Of all of life's questions, one that has plagued me for years is who my favorite Ninja Turtle is. I can never decide between Michelangelo and Donatello.

    The fact that all the turtles look like Raph reminds me of a CZcams Poop I saw years back

    I wasn't interested as Ninja Turtles as a kid. I only got into it a few years ago, but now I love it. Just like Reese, my favorite is also Raphael.

    Oh man, it's been a while since I've seen the Turtles! The last time was probably watching Jon play Freddi Fish and seeing Grandma Donatello...

    I never actually grew up watching ninja turtles.
    I saw the 1st and 3rd live action movies as a kid but I thought they were creepy and didn't like watching them.
    I'd like to go back see if I'd like it nowadays but it's hard to find time anymore.

    Don was definitely my favourite. I'm totally a nerd. And his range was nice in the games too.

    I grew up with the 80s cartoon and loved turtles so much. I even got a training bike for my birthday with turtles on it.
    I followed TMNT all the way up to the CGI movie and the 2003 show, but I kinda fell out of turtles. It wasn't until 4 years ago that I got back into Turtles with the IDW comics.
    It is amazing that such a weird idea has lasted so long, but TMNT keeps going. Really excited for the new beat-em Turtles game.

    John, the first thing I thought of when your started explaining the number guessing mini game was Binary Search and lo and behold, that's what you did. I too am an ex Comp Sci major. Good way to explain it too.
    I just did a backlight mod on an old DMG I found in my storage unit so this LP as well as the Ninja Gaiden one have been great ways for me to learn about Gameboy games I've not heard of before. I didn't have a Gameboy until the Color when I borrowed it from a friend for the summer (that turned into 5 years) so I missed out on a lot of the early titles. Please keep up doing GB games as side projects if you're up for it (I know you usually have a lot of projects going on at once) .
