the laundry and taxes line is so beautiful, breaks me every time-happy the movie was nominated for best picture and glad you enjoyed it. i’ll recommend the banshees of inisherin since it was also nominated, currently on hbomax, and has a sweet little donkey

I like that they made Waymond be the one filing for divorce. It gives him agency that he would otherwise not have and keeps him from becoming a passive observer on the sidelines (talking about the main world's Waymond, not Alpha Waymond)
i watched this the week of release in cinema. I was shocked and wasn’t at all expecting any of this. It was incredible and one of my favourite movies of all time, if not my favourite.
That must have been a great experience in the theater fr. Definitely an amazing film

Shut up, I'm not crying, I'm a big strong man. One of the weaker versions of Me from another universe must have come put tears on my face.
It's impressive to me that they were able to "explain" the seemingly complex concepts of the multiverse and verse-jumping quite clearly by both showing and telling, though not much of each was required. Never have I seen a film like this, maybe the most creative storytelling I've seen in film thus far. Lots of humor, heart, emotion, action, choreography, and just great storytelling. 11 Oscar noms is actually on the high side of what I was hoping for (though that they didn't get noms for Hair/Makeup or VFX is pretty baffling, but OK). Hoping they do a second round of in-theater release due to the Oscar noms haul for this since I didn't get to see it in the cinema first time around. The only true lock I can see is for Key Huy Quan (Waymond), the rest of the categories are up in the air. Regardless, I love this film, it has taken my top spot for personal best film since Amadeus held it for some 30ish years.
This movie was so well written. Definitely refreshing to watch and I would love to see this movie again in theaters. Deserved all the awards really🙏🏾

It's very typical of Asian parents on how they show their love with comments like "you are getting fat". If you go to the dialogue between Joy and her girls 2:30 in your video, Joy's girlfriend mentioned that before Joy had mentioned if Evelyn said like that, that means she cares. Also, at Part 3 (all at once), Evelyn also said to her girlfriend "you need to grow your hair", another love comment

I had heard that this movie did the multiverse better than Marvel, so I was intrigued, but had to wait until I could watch it on a streaming platform, about a month ago. I loved it immediately, and wished I could have seen it in a packed theatre of people who had no idea what they were in for. Such a great story, ingeniously presented, artfully designed, and nearly perfectly acted. How could I be totally grossed out by the hotdog finger land, and yet so moved by the love story it contained? Is this how we learn to see every difference as flavour, instead of letting our differences divide us? I never thought I would see a movie so simultaneously profound and goofy. I've watched a lot of reactions to it, and yours was a lot like mine. Hugs to you, brother.

I've watched this a bunch of times over the past year and it's just great. It's always fantastic seeing what other people get out of it, so seeing what hit you hardest was pretty cool.

Srsly the drip from Joy's costumes in this movie is one of the greatest things I've ever experienced. She most definitely should have received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress although I understand the make-up Oscar to Jamie Lee.
