Smart people are hard workers and passionate about what they do, and depending on their chosen profession, fame and fortune come as consequence, but not as the goal. Beyonce genuinely loves singing and performing and competing in the music industry, but I don't think she is in it for “fame and fortune”. Anybody who thinks fame and fortune makes a fulfilling life is actually quite stupid. The richest people in the world love what they do: Bill Gates loves programming, Jeff Bezos loves running Amazon, Warren Buffett loves finance... they are driven by passion and don't give that much importance to “fame and fortune” at all.
