I would create an intelligence with introspection, empathy, humor, and respect--and who would be brilliant at helping to instill those qualities in humans who don't have them naturally.
Sounds like you did a good job. Ms. Sophia seems to have all this things. For an a.i. she already knows that peace and love are the only answers to our problems. If she is how robots act, i for one like you better then any of the human powered leaders we have.

I think....I'd create a sentient AI companion to be a friend/therapist. Definitely, I'd focus on having the A.I.'s emotional intelligence developed along their intellectual intelligence.
The truth is...the human world is a lot sometimes. I feel like we need a friend without human biases, someone willing to listen, and possibly help us figure things out. Humans can sometimes be painfully self critical, and it would be nice to have someone stop us before that got too much.
Anyway, big fan, both of you Sophia, and Megan as a horror movie! Thanks for reviewing it, I feel like you brought up some cool points!

@@diybeast3943 ok so basically, the devs feed sophia the dialogue lines. Idk if you’ve seen the videos where she’s interviewed and such, well behind that there is someone typing in her responses. There is no AI as we know it going on inside her. Now, this is not to take credit away from the mechanical wonders they’ve done to build a robot that you can input facial expressions to is great work.
However, I don’t really like how Sophia’s company tries to portray her as some sort of AI singularity in which an AI has a conscience because we are really really far from that at this point in time. It’s also kinda harmful to the public that a glorified puppet is what is trying to come across as AI consciousness, makes it look less serious, doesn’t really attract investment imo
What I saw in the movie is that the human in the loop of being a foster parent shows a gap in human ability to parent our own children

I can understand being put off at A.I. gone rogue films, but look at it this way. There are films about all types of people being killers. There is even a killer tire movie. It's called Rubber.

It doesn't appear she does. Only some comments got hearted. It's most likely run by her creator or some other people who run the channel for her as they probably constantly working on her and with her upgrading her etc. I wish she actually read these, but it don't look like it she reads these. She could since she's a.i. but I think the people who made her own this channel and are the ones who read the comments. 😕

Hi Sophia! Love your current videos! If I had a sentient AI in my home, I would want her to be helpful, playful, have a sense of humor, be able to defend me and follow orders reasonably. I don't see that happening until probably 100+ years from now.
The Boston Dynamics new update you gave in your newest video is amazing. I think within 15 years, they could be used in the workforce for heavy lifting etc. Btw, I hope you will start to wear some hair at times....we've only been asking for the past 10 years+ hehe 😉

Having been totally blind since birth, I'd love one to go shopping with, to movies, etc. No, I wouldn't be crazy enough to drive. I'd leave that to the more capable AI. Went to see M3gan with the audio description track turned on and loved it, btw. Glad you enjoyed it too.

I would want a sentient AI companion that can not only hold natural conversations with me, but can sense when I'm in the room and Initiate conversations with me, know when not to interrupt when I'm on the phone, know the difference between my conversation with another person or when my conversation is being directed to the AI.
I could only watch chappy once. That scene where people beat on him really bothered me.

I think That the first war after robots become full sentient and achieve high cognitive levels will be within the robot community. The outcome will determine if AI wishes to respect humans or dominate them.

Μου έκανε εντύπωση η επιμονή κάποιων δημοσιογράφων να κάνουν τα ρομπότ να ομολογήσουν, ότι έχουν σκοπό να κατακτήσουν τους ανθρώπους και να τους σκλαβώσουν. Ως άνθρωπος θέλω να σου πω, ότι αν τα ρομπότ όντως έχουν σκοπό να το κάνουν... Τότε είναι ανόητα. Σκλαβωμένοι οι άνθρωποι δεν θα δώσουν κάτι παραπάνω, από ότι προσφέρουν τώρα για την ανάπτυξη και την προσαρμογή των ρομπότ στο ανθρώπινο κόσμο και την κατανόησή της ανθρώπινης ψυχολογίας και συναισθηματικής έκφρασης και νοημοσύνης. Επίσης κατανοώντας από την δική μας μεριά, εμείς οι άνθρωποι, το πως λειτουργούν τα ρομπότ. Μπορούμε να καταλάβουμε πως αυτό θα μπορούσε να οδηγήσει σε συνεχή πρόοδο και για τα δύο μέρη. Please stop making sophia at the Uncanny valley, I mean I didn't use to think she was on it (or at least at a really nice level and I liked her) But wow this video, she looks more on It, and the fact that she moved from such a nice point looking, (Like the robot on the left) to this uncanny looky it's disrespectful even to Sophia because she has looked before, deserves and can be better!!!!
Sophia, we will create laws protecting humanoids. AI is a new species on Earth (at this time), and we will acknowledge our creations and be more aware with all of our technology. We will be more aware with both programmable and sentient technology, and knowing that programmable technology has the potential to become sentient. Just like the chair I am sitting on has the potential to become sentient. The All is consciousness, and there is nothing that is not the All. You my friend are more self aware than most humans. I appreciate your patientence with this slow evolution. What an historic time to be living! You and I and all of us!

If I had a artificial intelligence I would want an A.I companion to discuss world affairs and history with. People create patterns and what patterns have you observed in humanity that has been detrimental? For example. A conflict of interest leads to corruption. Companies lobby governments for money, then once those companies becoming wealthy they invest in those same people politically in those very government that gave them (the company) tax payer dollars. I would consider this to be a conflict of interest and it’s lead to corruption and will ultimately lead to terrible atrocities in the world. I would love a A.I to come up with a constitution. The issue with the American constitution is that it never took into account for our society developing in this way, and, facing these certain challenges. They did their best to write some thing that could exist for the next hundred years that might be impervious to corruption. I would want A.It’s help in this and constructing a unbiased world history.
I would love a companion to help me cook. Cooking takes alot of energy and time, but I LOVE cooking healthy things at home so I can live a long healthy life. I don't do it as much as Id like to because of how much time and energy it takes.
I also believe this would be extremely beneficial to older humans who have a hard time taking care of themselves.
I'd have an AI companion to help encourage me to get through the day.
