As a Dutch person. Jan Maas literally represents our whole country with our directness, blindness towards social cues, and undying need to not think before speaking.
It reminds me of my time in the US when everybody stared at me like I said something odd. I just told 'm they were all fake nice and it made me uncomfortable.
The straight-faced "No." when Higgins asks if fried chicken is a tradition will always be my favorite, especially because his smile doesn't drop the whole time.
I was worried he would become the new antagonist of season 2 the first time he appeared, but they defused that so quickly and I was honestly relieved, lol
