When you've been calling the Cornell Method wrong your whole life... fml😂
I would rather call it the Cornwell method and know what and how to implement the Cornell Method than call it the Cornell Method and assume it has something to do with four loopy questions
Bro speaks so fast. I didn’t even had to put on 2x speed 😂
😂
It's not even that bad bro keep speaking at the same rate 😂
@@abin1998they were saying they don’t have to speed it up bc he want yapping
Where do you get the the headings from? Are they from the pre-readings before the lecture or just your personal idea of what should be heading and main point in the lecture?
Whatever you said you’re right especially at the start i have seen it with my eyes and it has worked for me honestly
Hahah, it genuinely works
Summary
1. Be the Farmer: cultivate the information, not hunting it
2. The Science of taking notes: Preparation, Process, Product
3. Preparation: structure of our learning before we do note taking progress, writes the heading and sub heading, read and summary with all we learnt
4. Process: use the cornwell method
5. Product: use SOAR (Summarise, Organise, Analyst, Review)
This is great! :)
@@heygarethevans Thank's, ur video also very helpful✨
I'm using this, not for law, but for criminal Justice, thank you
This actually makes sense
You make organise those notes on Microsoft word?
im online so i barely ever take notes, i really been wanting to start note taking
Cornell Method, developed at Cornell University.
I have mild dyslexia hence I write slowly, any tips on note taking for me? Warmest regards
So, despite being in my third year of Law School, i am still confused. the lecturer gives a handout and sometime sends it after, so is it advisable to print them upfront and take mini notes using the cornell method, or simply use my Laptop while in lectures and condense the note that is been issued, as it is been discussed while adding more points and key take aways, and then come back home and re organise my notes and flesh it out using text book material and journal article?
If I were you, I'd just have a blank piece of paper and take notes using the cornell method. I personally wouldn't use the handouts otherwise it's too easy to tune out because all the hard work is done for you already. Then after the lecture, flesh them out using your own research and write them up properly on your laptop
Great video bro 👍
Thank you 🙌
Great video!
Thank you :)
what software do u use for the notes ? also do u think writing down notes physically is more effective than typing ? have been thinking about investing in an ipad
I mainly use Notion when typing up my notes in a neat + organised way. But handwrite my notes on an iPad when in lectures.
I think handwriting stuff is the best way to remember stuff and encode it in your mind, but typing notes out is a better way to organise materials (so you can refer back to it and revise from). I genuinely think a mix of typing + handwriting is the best approach.
But if you can’t type at a fast pace, doesn’t that waste more time compared to writing?
Where do you recommend the Cornell note taking process? by hand or computer?
By hand is probably the easiest and most flexible option, but there are apps/templates out there that let you do it on your computer :)
Isn’t it Cornell notes, like the university?
Lol you're right - I've been saying it wrong all my life haha - the principle still works though 😂
❤️
Im shocked that law student in other countries are allowed to takenotes during leacture😮😮😮😮
Is it not allowed in your university to take notes during lectures?
