- After touring the Catio (or Cattery), spectators shall be entreated to the presence of bicolor Bidutzi and Amatxo the Russian Blue. Bidutzi means "Monster" in Basque (although modern speakers apparently don't use this word any more.) Amatxo means lil' mama.
The last 2/3rds of the video I escort you through the carpentry steps of the portable & modular build.
The original music is from my 2012 bossa nova improv jazz album www.reverbnation.com/merrellbros
Located in Oregon, Pacific Northwest, United States, Earth, Sol System, Milky Way.
Out of all the catio builds I’ve seen, yours is the best. I am currently half done and using the same material but I’m assembling differently. I like how you doubled up the wood. Very beautiful catio!
Wow thank you! I'm happy for your lucky cats and their soon to be new favorite place.
This catio is exactly what I envisioned coming out from a window sash modification (walkway). Your clear instruction was soothing to listen to. You did a spendid job for your little pals!
Good job! I know your babies enjoy it!
Love the transparent so much.
So cats can enjoy the catio in the rainy day
Methodically and wonderfully done. Great work. I love when people have a good amount of respect for their animals.
I want one! I don't have any cats.... I need a place to romp though.
Beautiful job and lovely cats too! Love the tree trunk stand with a coat of poly also.
Love the music, cats, catio, and detailed instructions!
Wow, this catio is really nice.
You are very professional.
I’m doing a catio next month . Thanks for all the great tips.
This is amazing!
Nice music, too....good job!
Well done! Great video : )

Good video. Can I ask how you joined the walls together? Should I use 2x4’s for the corner? You mentioned having 3. 2x2’s on the corners
2x4 could totally work for corners. You could even do entirely 2x4s instead of 2x2 as some people do. After a couple years I've found all the tiny gaps resulting from using 2x2 means more places for bugs to hang out (mainly earwigs.) Avoid pine unless you're going to thickly paint it, consider getting something more weather resistant like cedar.
After the four walls were together, I had a second person help me join them together. It was quick. Just need one person to hold up one wall while the other holds up and screws in the other.
@@Panksmith thank you again!
i am hoping to build one for my babies this summer. Do you have any trouble w/ fleas? or ticks though?
No fleas/ticks. But for a few months every summer, all the nooks and crannies fill up with earwigs. Gross but not a health problem.
what plant were they eating?
Organic wheatgrass from the co-op, lol, only the best for bidutzi and amatxo
Not much shade if any…..
