As an islanders fan I’m not upset he got his 1,000th point he can enjoy it I’m just glad the islanders got the 2 at the end of the game, I was mad at first when he left but at this point he’s just another talented player on another team.

@@ryanmiddleton109 completely missed his point. The Islanders players themselves and even the organization acknowledged John's achievement, while the fans showed their class as usual. That being said I've seen a few islander fans actually giving their respect, so to those fans I salute 🫡

By a goal, yes but, under the circumstances, I'd trade the point for Tavares having the milestone moment with his current and former team together. Totally worth it and is a trade I'd do any day of the year with the possible exception of the 7th game of the Stanley Cup. 🙂

@@dennissmith9259 In my view, the NHL has made the Stanley Cup irrelevant by changing the rules in the playoffs which changes the game so, instead of the best team winning, the team that cheats best often wins. How many President's cup teams have to lose before people see that.
"Oh, they didn't build a team for the playoffs." is what your answer will be and my response to that is "But they built a team that wins soundly proven in the Regular Season.
