Interesting vlog & week. Happy Super Bowl Sunday. Unfortunately, i don’t hav a fav bt may the best team win. Also enjoy ur v-day as well. #salute my gud brotha!!!!!!!
Love the video bro I’m a company driver thinking about getting my own equipment but when I talk to a lot of OO they make it real discouraging to even think of that but yea man thanks for the positive outlook and blessings to you and the fam
Don't let their words hurt you too much and take what they say with a grain of salt. Most of those guys jump in with a year-or-so of experience with crashes and tickets on their records. Get experience, stack money, and keep that record clean.
Aye bro if I get my own authority but i don’t want to operate under it right away will i still have the options to lease on to someone else’s company while my authority is still active and or is that not allowed?
My man, Mohave insurance is HALF THE PRICE, I have 4 trucks and 4 refrigerated trailers, and my insurance is $4178, come on dog, talk to them AFTER YOUR 1ST year......
I'm really don't know the answer to that. I think it goes off your authority more than your trucking experience. I heard once I hit 18 months of authority my insurance will drop even more.
I pay about 980 for Tractor insurance and around 750 for trailer insurance. I paid in full about 17,000 for the year. I have 17 year's experience though.
@@BigCed yeah things are quite different today. Just got off the phone TODAY. Them MF want $125k, 50 down and 37k a month. Nice video but it’s not relevant to what’s going on today.
@@YHERVIC I just got my insurance in March with them. Keep in mind that I've had my cdl since 2005 with 0 volitions. I paid in full 17,000 for 12 months.
My tractor insurance is around 900 per month. The rest is for My reefer trailer and cargo insurance. I've had my cdl for 17 year's no accidents or traffic violations.
Ok cool you said on the video a week I was like wow.. I kinda figured it was a month though.. I'm looking to get my own authority so keep pushing out them videos I'm toned in to you soaking up the info. And I'm pushing for my lady to work with me as your lady works with you.. may you and your family stay blessed!!💯
1,900 Per month my first 6 months it drop to 1,700 Per month now. It gets cheaper every year they told me. Also every state is different some are alot cheaper.
@@BigCed heard some were cheaper but, i also heard progressive was the better option…thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences! Im just about to start so im picking up on everything i can
It's even better now after 18 months my insurance is 10,000 for the truck and trailer. I Know driver's who's insurance is 7,000 for the year their authority is older than mine. Do some homework. You must not know much at all.
Love to hear this stay blessed up fam!

We’ve found that Progressive and Berkshire Hathaway offer the best prices at our insurance brokerage.
Dang that's a nice truck.
Good video
Good content bro had to subscribe when I seen your last name we got the same last name 😂
😂😂💯 We might be Cousin's lol thanks for subscribing.
@@BigCed 💯💯
I called progressive today and they stated that they only provide 500 mile radius.
I'm glad to see some positive information
Watching Skip and Shannon.
Favorite sports show.
Hey man, I quote drivers through a different carrier and get them at like $13k, I am in Cali though
I pay 10,000 now through progressive
Awesome vid very inspirational. I'm curious how long did you work for someone else before going out on your own?
Thank you and I leased on to my buddy authority for 5 months. Then I got my own authority.
I almost have my own authority but I can’t make the monthly insurance premiums until I get someone to sign under my authority.
How do u startt
Aye bro if I get my own authority but i don’t want to operate under it right away will i still have the options to lease on to someone else’s company while my authority is still active and or is that not allowed?
Yes you can do that but your authority can't be active with out insurance. I believe you can just bobtail insurance it's fairly cheap.
Also, DONT TAKE ANY LOW FRIEGHT......And what states are you running ?
I only run 4 states
My man, Mohave insurance is HALF THE PRICE, I have 4 trucks and 4 refrigerated trailers, and my insurance is $4178, come on dog, talk to them AFTER YOUR 1ST year......
That price includes my trailer for truck alone is 900 the rest is trailer and cargo.
I’m a new driver that wants to get my own truck. Should I try to deal with a dealership and drive under a company or lease finance with a company?
If you can get one from a dealership and then lease on to a company. I would do that.
How do insurance companies verify cdl experience is it when cdl was issued or do they somehow know when you actually drove a truck and how long.
I'm really don't know the answer to that. I think it goes off your authority more than your trucking experience. I heard once I hit 18 months of authority my insurance will drop even more.
@@BigCed what is authority I've been hearing that name but Don't know I'm in process of getting cdl
I believe they researched the company's you have worked for / drove for
Burk, Hows the insurance w/ CDL DODGE 3500 40 ft trailer ? for 1st time begin business venture? Thanks
?
Good video bro. Have you had any brokers not work with you because of Progressive?
What up big Homie. Nope not all progressive is who most people start with.
@@BigCed ok cool. Thanks bro
Possible to get CDL , MC , DOT Number in less than 30 day??
I doubt it but it's possible
How can I lease on owner operators under my own authority being that it’s new?
Have them fill out a lease agreement and them to your insurance. Brandon manny has videos on how to do that
Is this insurance based off your MVR? And not to be nosy or anything but how does your MVR look?
My mvr is clean I've had only one speeding ticket in my back in 2007. It does help with price.
@@BigCed Thanks for the info, and WOW! sounds like insurance is expensive no matter how clean you are,
@@BigCed how many trucks
How u get undisputed to play on your truck?
Sling tv app. I also have a USB to a C cable for the TV you can get it on Amazon
Progressive is high I’ve been searching and they were damn near 1300 more

@@BigCed Hey, do you have a recommendation for a consortium? I was looking @ OOIDA, whatcha think?
$1900 is decent compared to mines I pay $3000 a month
What am I doing wrong for it to be so expensive?
I'm not sure what the difference is but I do have 18 year's of experience. Mybe that's it.
Mine is $2461 a month, and i'm 29 first year with my authority.
i can shop you out with multiple carriers, hmu
Bro they quoted me 45k for the year 🤦♂️
Is that insurance Price because you are a new authority.. is your CDL new also.. if not how long did you have your CDL..
