you can lock the saftey button in the down position so you don't have to use it, there's a little grub screw you tighten, then you can simply push on and pull off the wheel
You literally saved me. I was close on placing an order when you said that it may not be compatible with wheels that where the bolts are mountd rearside.
Nice review. Just to add that you can mount it to a rear side bolted rim if you put a simple spacer between the rim and the QR.
Yes, indeed that would work. Thanks for pointing that out Alexander.
Worth noting that you can get an extension hub that will allow you to bolt this onto anything, as it will offer multidirectional mounting.
I have the exact same QR i got from the peterborough car show last year but never got round to using it as i felt my wheels were crying out for the Q1R. I must say though, it looks much better than the chepo sparco ones found on ebay, i noticed on the D Spec it has more bearings and slots for a much tighter surface grip. Still a very nice QR, just never used mine. Again, good review and your point about larger button boxes is a very good valid point
Thanks fella. Those super cheap £15 eBay quick releases are best avoided, but one this hits a good price to performance balance I think. But speaking of cheapo quick releases, there is one particular design that may be okay. I'm going to find out soon as I bought one to review, just waiting for delivery.
@@SimRacingCorner I think i know which one you mean
@@menacegtr 🤔 Aha! You'll find out soon enough my friend.
Thanks for the review and just ordered one, also because it looks quite the same than the QR of my Accuforce. Just the button is flat, so you don't have to use it. After four years of usage i can tell, it's still tight like on day one.
PS: Like expected it's really the same manufacturer and same tight fit.
@@Leynad778 Is the universal quick release that you can find on Ebay or Amazon compatible with Accuforce QR? It cost $20 aprox, maybe is the same of the video, it looks identical
Would be interesting to 3d print one, I don't care about its quick releasing, but beefing up the plastic would make it such an appealing idea.
with a cheap wheel and 60 dollar pedals and shifter you could own a dd sim wheel for less than 500.
Can you tell about the part which is already connected to thr OSW mige motor? Thanks
Hello
Need some advice what adapter do you use to connect the d1 spec quick release to the G29 ?
Cheers
Will the FFB on my Thrustmaster TS-XW weaken with this product? Using a standard 6-bolt pattern adapter for the wheel.
Being as the weight is in the center, it should have little affect on the FFB.
Thanks for the review however would you know if it would fit a fanatec csl elite wheel and wheel base
No that wouldn't work, the measurements are different.
@@SimRacingCorner alright thank you
hey! does it do the ding?
Is there a big difference for Manufacturing tolerances or are these NRG style QR from ebay/aliexpress/banggood are same standard for all? I was worried of damaging wheel base QR side..
I really have no idea, it's the only one of this style I have.
@@SimRacingCorner Thank mate
I need one of this. Is it compatible with simagic ??
Sorry I don't know. But expect if you contact Simagic they will have that answer.
make sure it's D1 spec and having 6 bearing on hop and 4 on bottom, there's a similar one has 5 on top and 3 on bottom, not compatible.
I think q1r is freaking bad, because it's weak when the force is applied to the top of the steering wheel.
You're right applying force to the top and bottom causes movement in the Q1R. But in practical use you're not holding the wheel like that or applying that sort of pressure in those areas. I've used the Q1R for years and have never noticed any flex with any wheel or driving discipline.
