Sadhguru's point was doesn't matter if a woman is a leader or a man. As long as they keep the balance between their masculinity and their feminity. Its like this.. crudely put in a corporate structure. a masculine leader will only demand results within the time limits. Doesn't matter how you get it, where you get it etc. If you don't get it, it might cost you your career. That creates tension, aggression etc. But a balanced or a bit feminine leader will understand why you weren't able to do it may be guide you to it as well. That makes the situation peaceful. The answer being "Gender doesn't matter, it's the mental approach, that should be balanced.

I agree . The question that a woman or man can be better is immature. There needs to be a balance if a women become aggressive just as some of the men today , the world will gradually and eventually be in the same position as today. So be it a man or a woman there needs to be a balance in the aggressive and the gentle.

He answered the question very well. He said if the woman adapts the masculinity ( which is happening now a days) and tries to rule that is as dangerous as a man ruling. That is what happening in today's world. In my own work place i can see that. Woman who are in power thinks adapting masculinity is the way to succeed and they climb that ladder too but forget that they are doing exactly what a man would do. So it did not make a difference. Really insightful conversation here.

You will never get a satisfactory answer if you are asking the wrong question. Sadhguru seems to see life in a very expansive way, so I don't think his answer would be as simple as yes or no. Here is how energies work: being in your masculine means you are constantly "doing", taking action, aiming for results, and being in a driven mode. Being in your feminine means you're taking time to reflect, feel, are open to receiving the results, and letting things "flow".
When these energies are balanced, what you do is aligned with how you feel...there's a sense of being grounded while aiming for your vision. Now, is this something just a male can do? Is this something just a female can do? No. Anyone can. It doesn't have to do with gender at all. And a leader who is in tuned with themselves and understands how to maintain this balance with the right intentions for all involved is the one who will make the world more peaceful (in my opinion) :) love and light xo

It was simple and they lost it because they didnt get hapf man half woman reference.
First time i saw adiyogi in such reference was when i visited NARHI temple.
The murti is HUGE, lord shiva as a combo of NAR and NAARI and thus it was called NARHI mandir.
      Its in kasauli, HP
I was so confused, why shiva is depicted as an equal mix of two genders. I was in my 6th class and very curious. Asked few uncles around, they didnt knw bt still worshipping as a combo of shiv and parvati bt thats not what it meant.
Finally the temple priest overheard it and came to me and said exactly what sadhguru said.
Wisdom and wise gurus are in every corner of india its just that because of few dhongis the image has corrupted.
The priest said, i have a woman in me , and a girl has a man in her.
I m naturally tough bt i should knw love and care as a part of myself and it shouldnt be denied.
Similarly a girl knws she is gentle and loving and caring naturally bt she shouldnt take her gentleness for weakness and must know that a man is inside her.
That time i was confused how a woman is inside me😅😅, bt now i knw he was talking abt the masculine and feminine qualities

@Erina I don't see any contradiction. Instead of saying that this is a redundant question given the current system of evaluating success (which is mainly masculine in nature). Even an increase in the woman leaders won't amount to much difference.
Instead of woman (or female wrt bodies), what is required is the increase in the overall quality of femininity in the world. In this Alpha male society, women are becoming more masculine than required. Men are also losing the feminine touch in themselves. Instead, what is required is a balance of both the qualities.
He negates the need of the question. And puts forth an altogether different perspective. And that too in the most benign way. That doesn't amount to any contradiction at all.

In a modern world where gender identities and boundaries are slowly diminishing and/ or enlarging, a particular gender doesn't matter for leaders who take peaceful decisions that affect the world. That is what happening in today's world. In my own work place i can see that. Woman who are in power thinks adapting masculinity is the way to succeed and they climb that ladder too but forget that they are doing exactly what a man would do. So it did not make a difference. Your irritation on not getting a direct answer to a question is again your masculinity having an upper hand than your femininity. All answers need not be precise and to the point or direct , its the femininity within us that reflects on reading between lines , the employment of fuzzy logic and capturing the undertone , it is understanding world in different perspectives
His mention of Adi yogi who is Shiva a god is half man and half women but is considered the perfect man , so his statement implies that we dont necessarily need more female leaders or that doesnt matter , but we need leaders who has a balance of masculinity and femininity in them just like Adiyogi

But, he was worried about people becoming lopsided. So, that would mean the men too need to think about their homes when women start worrying about the world. Thus, balance is maintained.

So Rick if you are reading this. You are getting introduced to Sadhguru through this video, because it is probably the only 2nd time you have heard him speak. So, I don't know how many people in the west you know who are "gurus" or the ones who show the path to the world. Commonly called wise men or sadhus or spiritual leaders in India. Sadhguru is one of them.
So, whenever you ask Sadhguru a question, never expect a direct yes or a no answer to it. Cause more often than not there is no direct answer, even if there is, if he gives you that direct answer then you will stop at that and not think further.
What Sadhguru expects is to show you the path to find the answer yourself. If you are a true disciple and intelligent enough you will get your answer.
So in future videos of Sadhguru you will many times find him talk in riddles. But there is always a deep meaning to what he is saying. You might or might not agree with what he is saying, but you want an answer from him, he has given it in his own way. Now, it is upto you what you do with it.
Hope this will be helpful to you Rick and Korbin for understanding future videos of Sadhguru. He has diverse knowledge on various topics and you will always learn something from every word he speaks, whether you agree with it or not, it will be make you think.

I had a woman manager whose only concern was improving the bottomline of our unit, no matter what. If someone's kid was ill and needed to be taken to a doctor, she'd publicly scream at them for missing out office even if they ensured their project was delivered on time by working extra hours. Based on Sadhguru's response I can infer that such women leaders might not necessarily make the corporate world a better place. Individuals who master the balance of masculine (providing, sustaining, profit-centric approach) and feminine (caring, empathising) traits would make the world a better place rathee than someone just by virtue of being a woman.

He ment that....."who rules" doesn't matter....the only condition is that the person must be balanced between masculine and feminine part of the soul.....😌.......and the question asked about women....he wanted to say that if we choose a woman ruler and if she is also messed up between her feminine and masculine parts( of soul and emotions) we will face the same situation as we are facing today......

His answer was very deep! His Idea was any one with balanced masculine and feminine quality can make the World a far better place!

He gave a very direct answer: Women leaders need not necessarily make the world more peaceful just by the virtue of being women as per sex, but the feminine quality that manifests majorly in women certainly will.

I remember a professor asking us in one of our classes- what's the opposite of patriarchy and while most of us said matriarchy, he finally gave us the answer- it's EQUALITY. The Sat Guru, I believe, was talking along those lines. Patriarchy sucks!!! No doubt about that. However, a matriarchal world would also lead on a different kind of imbalance, but an imbalance nonetheless. Absolute balance and harmony are idealistic dreams, true, but we can always move towards this ideal world where the masculine and the feminine is equally valued and a balance is maintained.
His answer was more accurate, balanced and intellectual, rather than simply being politically correct... It won't translate into a political chant, but it would motivate one towards deeper intellectual introspection.
