Hi Edgebot. We do insert grafts into scars if necessary. Typically it is not necessary to further camouflage a good FUT scar. However, some patients do want to go shorter and breaking it up even further with grafts can help. We do it a slightly different way that I believe does a better job of covering the previous incision line. The graft number will vary depending on the scar itself. Typically it's in the low hundreds (less than 500). -- Dr Bloxham

@@dphotos007 hair transplants 20 years ago were vastly different. We have medications and topicals to keep the other hair from thinning out. It also depends on the person genetics 🥸
Many females are good candidates for surgery. However, female hair loss is typically not as straightforward as male hair loss. All potential female patients should be evaluated thoroughly and many should be referred to endocrinology to rule out medical treatment before undergoing surgery. An exception would be females with genetically high hairlines and no real hair loss. -- Dr Bloxham
