When you don't have places to push it to, it's best to throw it with a blower. Not sure what they have for the BX models but may be worth the investment.
We have some similar equipment. I have bx 23 2005.model. Same bucket hooks ( bx expanded) and I also have the thumb for backhoe and added back wheel spacers. It has been a workhorse. 2016 Silverado hd with Snoway plow and salter. That has worked well for me.good luck with the rest of the season.
Get either a bigger plow or take off that poly cutting edge and get a metal one, them fisher SD don’t scrape all too well anyway, had one on my tundra and got a HD and what a difference
Plowing both a paved surface and a gravel driveway is tough to do with the same setup. Paved surfaces plow best with the ploy/rubber cutting edges and gravel is best with shoes. I prefer the meyer style shoes that look like skis as opposed to the puck style for gravel. If you plan to go commercial, you will want to add wings. Wings reduced my lot times by 30-50% depending on depth. Pusher boxes beat everything for lots. I went from trucks to bigger trucks to backhoes with boxes to loaders with boxes when I got into big lots like a Walmart
Yeah, it is undersized for sure. However, I got it as a hand down from my dads old tundra and I only plan on using it on my own property. Would definitely go up to a larger plow if I do any commercial work.
Heated driveway would be nice for sure. Maybe if I ever build a new place in the future, but certainly doesn't bother me at the moment when I have all the equipment to play with!
Yeah, something I might consider next year and swap to a skid steer plow/box. Mainly took it since my dad gave it to me and I figured I might use it for some light residential stuff as well. (that and I didnt have a closed cab skid steer at the time!)
Yea, I inherited that plow from my dads Tundra when he upgraded since I didn't have a plow for my truck. We knew it was undersized for the truck, but my only intentions were to use it on my own property or neighbors. I have no plans to do any commercial plowing with it.

Nice, certainly are a great jack of all trades machines. Same to you 👍

Thats a good idea, might be worth getting the metal edge for now. Cheaper solution than a larger plow for my current uses.

Both worked out well .
Surprised you didn't engineer a blowing machine to get rid of the snow on your car rather than manually removing with that stick!
We get snow on the ground, and this pops up in my recommendations... Guess I need to call you up for a plow
Be right up bro
I see you need to adjust the lift chain. If you adjust the chain it will lift the blade higher.
Brian, is your truck 4 wheel drive? It seems to go uphill with no problem.
Yup, it is a 4WD model
Should have the plow hooked up to the truck before the storm starts then you don’t pack the snow down
what is the size for your tire?
This truck has way to small of a plow on it

? I plow with a gas Chevy 2500 for years what do you mean by small?
Do a heated driveway and keep your plowing to a minimum. That’s my future plan.

I'd just sell the plow and use the bobcat or tractor. Waste of time plowing twice
Good video
Plenty of people in NE who have half tons

A bigger plow will solve all your issues. That one is too small for that truck anyways

Where is the snow this season?
