Auto-tune doesn't change how someone sounds. It just removes mistakes like voice cracks or the breathy background sounds. Now of course there are effects that some artists use that make their voice sound robotic or unrealistic. Melanie does use auto-tune in the studio and in her live performances. Someone in the back or off stage keeps track of the audio so that her real voice can still of course be heard with a little clearance.

I love how she made a whole theme for each albums especially that k12 movie. That was so smart I love a theme I feel it’s what many artists today lack. Like Gaga the whole born this way was leather dark sexy. Then teenage dream Katy Perry was incredible.
