  • A Skoda Yeti has 'lost' it's rear emblem, additionally also 2 rear door seals have also disappeared. WTF? So how is a rear logo replaced and how do you mount the rear door seals. I will not mention the trunk light as well, we didn't fix it. A new DIY playlist has been created, with time we'll show you how syou yourself can attend to some of the car maintenance and how to do some simple repairs.
    The Subaru BRZ is still at the paint shop and the E46 BMW is awaiting warmer weather to move ahead with the reminder of the work before it's put up for sale.

    Hi! We have at the moment 2 of this problems on our 2011 Yeti too. The emblem and the boot light not working. You should check if the instrument cluster shows you when your boot lid is open-this tells you that the switch is fine. I think the problem is inside the wiring loom at the boot lid hinge- on the left side should be the wires and on the right the hose for back window washer. I will have a look on ours too and come back if I will find a solution. Also, I will follow you if there are any updates

      Checked the instrument cluster and it shows the boot lid is open, so that would indicate the switch is fine?

    • @carsinpov931
      @carsinpov931 Před 4 lety +1

      @@4WheelBuilds yes. The switch is fine with the boot lid open i ve checked if there is any voltage at the cables of the boot lamp and there isn't...my guess os that the cable is broken betwin the swtch and the lamp.

      @@AK-qk5ci to my knowledge on the 2010 model both of these are just stuck on using double sided tape. Use dental floss or fishing line to cut through it to take the emblem off.

    • @4WheelBuilds
      @4WheelBuilds  Před 3 lety +1

      @@AK-qk5ci the front one you can check by lifting the hood to see if there is anything holding it from the underneath the hood. If anything there would be a clip to take off. The rear if the fishing line does not want to go through than you will need to take the rear inside trim off to check for any screws or clips.
