Can we just take a moment to appreciate Mark’s editing. It’s makes me laugh every time. The effort he puts in these videos makes them even better
❤I totally agree ❤ Mark, you are awesome and your editing is genius at times! Thank you ☺️
I was thinking the same thing.
So glad to see the Rainbow idea going up.. It up-grades her age and maturity. Makes her feel like a big girl. Love seeing Scarlet visiting more with the family she is such a sweet child. You should take the room the boys had and Alex once had and make it a very nice spare room for quest. Has that little kitchen area and a door to outside. Makes a great spare bedroom/master guest room.
It's there vlog room now

Exactly my thought. Why stop her from growing up
I love having a top sheet between me and the comforter. Frozen made Aurora feel like a little girl. She wanted you to know she's growing up.
whats a top sheet? lol
@@kh208..it’s the flat sheet that goes on top of your bed.
We don't use them
@@amberhuber4233 it’s more hygienic;.. even in winter, all humans sweat in their sleep.
I love my top sheet! I get hot.
When it comes to decorating kids rooms I prefer to keep the walls neutral and use pictures or bedding for their current interest because their interests change so quickly. I love that you are still involved with Foster Care.
Yes I use the top sheet. But for those that don’t you can always turn them into curtains. I use to foster for 29 years and respite as well. I have adopted 2 of my foster daughters who are now 19 and 21. The 21 year old has severe medical needs and relies on us 24/7. We also have 2 bio boys. I absolutely admire everything you guys do ♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏
Sheet question - Our family has always had a top sheet in the bedding. To me, it’s much more comfortable to feel the smooth sheet. It also keeps the blanket or duvet from absorbing body oil and such.
I always use a fitted and flat sheet. The top (flat) sheet keeps the comforter clean. That's why hotels use them (so they don't have to wash the bed spread between each guest). Also, if the quilt / duvet is too hot, I can just cover myself up with the flat/top sheet.
I use the top sheet always, I like the feel of the sheet. Also, it saves washing the blanket or comforter as often.
Both of my kids are in their 20’s and hate using a top sheet. I am with Crystal - gotta have the sheet - and sometimes that’s all - especially when it’s hot!
A top sheet keeps your comforter or quilt cover clean. If you're changing your bottom sheet, but not your comforter, then your bed's only half clean. Plus, I like that you can tuck the top sheet in, unlike a quilt. This makes it much more snuggly, especially in winter. I was raised with a top sheet, blankets, then a light comforter. These days I use wool-filled quilts ( I have a set of quilts-one is heavier than the ather. luseboth during winter) and a top sheet.
So much of Aurora’s mannerisms and sass reminds me of Arianna. You can tell Aurora adores her 🩵
Have to say, the editing on this video was pretty cool!
Also Auroras room looks great with the two beds instead of the big one, looks a little more stylish and grown up. 💙🌸
You could look for a rainbow wallpaper for that wall for Auroras room
Love you guys! 💗
I’ve always hated the top sheet! (I’m 18) I still put it on my bed but I just lay on top of it. I feel like it helps protect my fitted sheet from stains or from my cat scratching at it (she does it a lot one the top sheet is already all scratched and torn at the bottom lol). But I’ve always hated the feeling of it idk why 😅 Lots of love from Florida ❤
I use a top sheet. I like it and it protects my blankets/allows me to wash the blankets less often.
I’ve never used a top sheet. We keep them for pick nils and beach days, things like that. As a table cover when we do arts and crafts, etc…..
The top sheet keeps you from getting the blankets dirty. So yes, you should use it.
👀i mean you still have to wash everything, same thing. unless you are extremely dirty or stain a lot but i mean even when i stain mine with blood it comes off easily since you’re supposed to immediately wash it
Hi Crystal- yes I use to use the top sheet between me and my blanket- but I don't anymore due to the fact I get so tangled up in it. lol- So I just use the blanket. But top sheets are just for back up etc.
I have always use the flat sheet
It great to have twin beds in Aurora’s room
I have to have both sheets!! Plus it keeps the blankets and comforter clean of body "stuff", lotions and make-up. LOL!
Maybe you can find a big rainbow by the same company you got the Elsa from. It was nice that it went up and came down easy without marking up the paint/walls!
A rainbow wall with rainbow LEDs would look amazing in aurora room x
Bbvb
The top sheet helps keep you cool while you sleep. It’s cooler than a blanket but still covers you up.
Yes, I use the top and fitted sheets. I do purchase extra pillowcases because I like matching ones. Lol Now, for the aha moment 😮 I have a queen quilt for my bed. BUT he has his own separate blankie and I have my own separate blankie. I am a restless sleeper and so is he. We toss and turn all night. (Therefore eliminating any need to daily exercise as we get ours all night long.😂) He will have his under his legs and pulls it up when he's cool, I am extremely cold natured and I cover up head to toe from the start. Amazingly we live in Florida and I am never to hot but don't like temperatures under 78.
The more coverings the better. ❤
Growing up my parent’s never did the tip sheet. It was always just extra laundry and and extra mess to clean up.
As an adult I LOVE the top sheet. I’m the winter it’s that extra layer of warmth, and in the Summer I can use it instead of a blanket on those extra hit nights. I’m from NM. Doesn’t get nearly as hit as The Valley, but we do get up to 103° sometimes 105° for a few weeks in July.
I also think that the top sheet just makes it look classy when the bed is made.
Little girl growing up faster than you planned. Love your hair and make up crystle. Love the bed and mothers day gift. I had a wonderful mothers day.. yes i have a top sheet. If you have a duvet comforter with case on it then its ok for like bunk suitations especially.
I personally use the flat sheet over my fleece blanket. I prefer the softness and warmth from my fleece blanket but putting the flat sheet over it gives me even more warmth & adds a comforting weight to it as well. I know it's sort of opposite of how it's usually used lol.
Aww Aurora is growing up. I too was voting No, but my inner child was saying: yes, she's growing up. and now she wants a rainbow room!! I think the Rainbow in the form of Vertical Stripes would look awesome!!
I use a top sheet it has benefits of keeping you warm and its a cleanliness thing for me too
I am not sure what the deal is on the sheets. You need a mattress cover to protect the mattress. I love crawling between two clean sheets, with a blanket/comforter on top. Can’t imagine not having a bottom sheet. If it wrinkles up get the clips that clip across the corner on the bottom side. They will keep the sheet taunt. Arora’s room is cute!!
Yeah they never buy a mattress protector. They also keep away allergens and such when you use them.
I am cracking up over Mark's editing! 😂😂 He has such a great sense of humor!❤ So wonderful that you are doing respite care! ❤
I like the top sheet ,it makes me feel like I'm in a cocoon. For kids, it's cause more work to make their beds. I am an Air Force Veteran. The top sheet makes a quarter bounce higher.
Crying watching the Frozen come off the wall!!! My daughter has LOVED Frozen since she first seen it as a baby and she is 9
My husband and I don’t use a sheet. We use a Pendleton blanket from Costco as our “comforter.” Which honestly works great for us!
i’m on a budget so thank you for this!
I NEED the fitted and flat sheet. And I ALWAYS do a hospital fold on the flat sheet so it stays nice and tucked.
It's a kid thing about the top sheet. I make a curtain with it or pillows or table clothes with them to match in room. I love the top sheet myself.
Use top sheet to keep comforter clean. Also like various temperatures during the night.
I need the top sheet, then a blanket, then the quilt or comforter. Living in the midwest with all the seasons, sometimes i just want the sheet, sometimes both sheet and blanket, when it is cold all 3 layers keep the warmth in. I love the feel of cotton or bamboo sheets.
Crystal and Aaron get a hammock for Auroras bedroom to hold the stuffed animals. My daughter actually likes the top sheet, when she gets too hot, she just uses the top sheet
My kids are the same way about the top sheet. I love the top sheet. I used to not use the top sheet until I got older as an adult. Love you Crystal and the Crazy Pieces family.
Gotta have a duvet cover on the quilt. It feels weird without one but maybe it's an UK thing for me x
I bought a Duvet for my quilt, but I never put it on. I sent it back to Amazon.
The edits mark made with the frozen wallpaper! It actually made me laugh out loud! 😂😂
I definitely have to have my top sheet! Sometimes I get too hot and throw off my blanket/comforter, and just use my top sheet!
My niece and nephew had a slide bed when they were growing up and I'm so glad they did... They used that slide so much. It also had a tent enclosure that wrapped around the whole bottom of the bed so we put a mattress down there too. I wish I had a picture cuz it was the coolest bed ever for a kid. I really hope Aurora gets the slide bed cuz she was so excited about it
I definitely use the flat sheet! Especially in the summer.
When I lived in Canada top sheet and comforter was necessary for both layers in winter and only top sheet in summer
No top sheets needed in the UK since I've moved here.
Yes, I use the top sheet, and all the kids in my family use them as well. Sometimes when the kids don't make up their bed in the morning for a few days then the fitted sheet may come off.
Crystal for a rainbow painted room you could do a color block type style. Like pick out a few pastels and paint each wall a different pastel so she gets that rainbow vibe. So if you have 4 walls in the room paint one purple, pink, yellow, blue, but all in pastels. I think that would be so cute!
My husband grew up without using the top sheet. It was a huge compromise for me to go without one. The compromise was that every time we stay in a hotel we have to use to top sheet. We’ve been married 30 years and it works.
With you Crystal on the sheet thing. Growing up I only had the fitted sheet but as an adult I can't sleep without it. I have 3 teen sons and I gave up putting a flat sheet on their beds when they were little, they never use them either.
Yes! We definitely do! In case it gets warm but still cool we have something to cover with!
Mark so funny. Aurora is growing up, plus one minute they love something, then they don't, they change their minds so often, surprised she did not say Bruno lol. Loved how Aurora asked our opinion. Good idea doing two single beds, one for sleep over family and for respite child, so caring. Blessings to you all.
Love the mini makeover and I think the two beds are awesome for when an impromptu sleepover and no neither my son nor I use the top sheet
Aurora is ready for a change. It is hard when they grow up and want that change.
I do use a top sheet and would always provide one for our 4 children and it was their choice. It’s a texture thing for me, but for some of our children it was a cool comfort thing, as we live in Texas where it’s hot and humid.
1) I really like Marks edits! Funny! 2) no tip sheet 😊
:)
Yes and No for the top sheet. Sound stanger maybe but i like my soft blanket wrap up in winter time. But summer time just the sheet.
I love when Aaron says "no sliding in the house". Umm why they ride bikes in the house, roller skate, throw balls and break things PLUS didnt Crystal bring a car into the house 😂😂😂
Right? They do everything else. Even Maddie plays ball in the house. 😂
She tried to bring the car in but ditched the idea.
Crystal, Aurora is saying I am growing up I want a different design on the wall- I can guarantee Crystal that if any of your older daughters wanted a different design on their wall you would do it without question. I am also not surprised because when I watched you guys put the design up of Elsa the first time I thought that Aurora would get tired if it rather quickly since she is in school. Aurora your speech has improved tremendously.
A great hack for kids top sheets have them turned into curtains for there windows.
When we used a proper comforter, we used the top sheet. However, my husband and I have switched to weighted blankets. It's super easy to just wash the cover, and it's so much softer!
Yes, my husband and I use our top sheet. It's easier to wash a top sheet than the comforter.
I use the fitted and flat sheet no comforter in warm months ,add comforter or blanket in cold months.
I have a quilt (removal one inside a cover ) and its big and heavy you dont always want to wash it as much. which you would have do more of if there is no barrier of the top sheet between each .same principle with blanket there big and you wont need wash them as much if you had a top sheet.
We’ve adopted in the past. Now getting old so only doing respite. But wish could go back 10 years and adopt again ! ❤
I’m so happy u guys have an extra bed and plan to use it for fam and friends
Always use a top flat sheet and of course, the fitted. If you think about the he body oils and stuff, it’s more sanitary and easier to wash a sheet than thicker blankets.
Buy duvet covers for the comforters. It acts like a top sheet that you can wash, so you don't have to wash the comforters as often.
I like the top sheet on my bed because if I get too hot with the sheet & the comforter on, I can throw off the comforter and still have something on top of me.
I'm 34 and I don't use my top sheet. My husband and I use separate blankets cause we don't share well. I also like to sleep with my feet outside of the blankets alot of the time so we dont tuck the blankets in. I guess it's just a preference thing? Those beds are cute. Love that they have drawers for storage.
Yes I still use the top sheet, but my youngest puts it on but sleep on top because she said it's to cold when she gets. I told her u will get warm once u r in it.
I love the top sheet. I like being chilly when I sleep and also use them in the summer as my “blanket”. I’m 21 and a lot of people my age don’t use top sheets.
In Germany we only use 1 pillow and a blanket (+ covers) and a bedsheet for the mattress. There are no other sheets involved and I couldnt imagine having another sheet between me and my blanket or on top of my blanket. I will only put my electric blanket in between if I'm cold.
I've never used the top sheet and I'm 40. I do however have a very soft fleece blanket that I use kinda like a top sheet.
The linens in Israel come with a fitted sheet, a pillow case, and a blanket/comforter cover (with a zipper or buttons), no flat sheet. This way the blanket is covered with something matching the bottom sheet.
I only use a bottom sheet, a quilt, and a blanket.
I like top sheets in summer only in place of the main blanket if it is hotter outside
- I’m with Aurora . Take it Off. 😂😂
I’ve also made top sheets into curtains!
We always use the flat sheet between mattress and comforter. Easier to wash and only need to use that on hot nights.
Always watching from the United Kingdom hope the room makeover went well 😊
If your stuff animals still have that little loop of string on the top. Get little eye hooks and hang them to the wall as decorations.
I never used the top sheet, until about 3 wks ago. Only because its been stuffy in my room. The AC unit in my bedroom isn't working right. And because I need that little bit of security of my body being covered, and staying cool at the same time, I now use the top sheet, and no comforter. I'm 58 years old.
The beds are really cute.
Hey crazy pieces!! Love watching your videos! They make my day every time I get a notification that you all posted! I need crystal to come and do my room makeovers in my room. My daughter fell out of bed when she was 2 and she broke her collarbone
Aurora having full conversations 😊
Loved this video...room make over for Aurora....smiled when you said you took in respite foster kids...love what you do for the foster community! Love also...the example you set for others! Best always, ♥ from BC
Crystal you can make maching curtains out of the flat sheets
You use the top sheet to keep the comforter clearer.
I need a flat sheet too!! My kids will make the beds and sleep on top with a throw blanket... they don't like making their beds. Lol You guys are amazing.
She's just used to getting her way. Good luck!
We have no air conditioning, so when it gets hot in the summer, I use the top sheet as a lighter option; otherwise, when it gets colder, I use a blanket with no sheet. I love the soft feeling of the blanket touching me well I sleep.
I am 57 yrs old and I dont use the top sheet, I LOVE the softness of my blanket against my skin and it helps me sleep better (it's like a big soft hug).
We were foster parents for a girl who stayed with us every other weekend and holidays. That was great to do!
My grandkids and a couple of my kids don't use the top sheet. I have to use a top sheet. Feels so nice.
My husband and I don't use the flat sheet for our king size bed. Our 13yo does use a flat sheer for her king size bed. Our sheet is a plain cotton one and her's are super soft velvet
I love using the top sheet!
The new beds look just as high off the ground as the old one. Maybe you can get the bed net that way she won’t fall off. Walmart has them.. About the flat sheet I have to have it and my 17 year old son does too..
I also use the top sheet. My mom didn't and used them to make long pillow cases which used to be hard to find.
Yes, I use a top sheet always have
Oh no Aaron is getting beat up 😂😂😂
I sometimes use the top sheet but it usually ends up pushed down to the bottom 😂 then I just use the regular quilt/ comforter to cover up with. I have a 2 year old who sleeps with me so I usually have to change them once every two weeks. We have like 20 sets of sheets to interchange them often lol
