He could be right but here is my interpretation of the parable. The virgins are just broken into two groups one representing believers who have the holy spirit one representing unbelievers who do not have the holy spirit that is consistent with the theme of the rest of the New Testament and the new Covenant. All people will be one day meeting the Lord Jesus and resurrected from the dead the righteous to eternal life and the unrighteous to judgment and death. The Bible says the fool says in his heart there is no God. Fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom. John 3:16 those who accept Christ will not perish but have eternal life those who reject Christ will Perish. So those who are saved are wise, are known by the Lord, and our filled with the Holy Spirit, and therefore are prepared for the return of the Lord. The foolish cannot borrow off the wise, in other words you cannot live off the faith of another person. And when the lord comes back it's too late to repent at that time which is why are the foolish virgins who went off to buy some oil were too late. In summary this parable was just consistent with what we know of the literal parts of scripture where there are always two groups: the sheep in the goats, the wheat and the tares, the wicked and the righteous and so on.

Consider this. The 10 virgins. 5 were foolish and 5 were wise. The five foolish ones, only had so much oil, because they thought the bridegroom was going to be coming alot sooner than he actually did. But the wise knew there was no rapture and were prepared to ride it out to the end. Jesus said " He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
ENDURE, means to to stay under (behind) to remain.
      tarry behind.
Jesus is teaching us that "He that is left behind, ..he that perseveres, he that suffers patiently and remains unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Consider Matt 13. The parable of the tares.
Jesus is saying that at the end of the world, he will send in the reapers to first remove all things that offend and them which commit iniquity...FIRST, and then the wheat.
By that definition set by Jesus, in Gods words, the pre trib people would be the TARES because they believe they go up first and are offensive, in that they teach another doctrine. Simple as that.
Consider Rev 9:4. They are commanded to only hurt those who HAVE NOT the seal of God. Meaning that there are those who DO have the seal of God and are protected, like He said He would do, way up to the 5th trumpet which is far after they teach they are supposed to be raptured out.
Pre trib rapture is a false doctrine. There is only the end and we must endure.
He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Time is almost up. Please give your life to Jesus Christ before it's too late. He is coming soon and tomorrow is promised to no man. Ask forgiveness for your sins and repent/turn away from sin, having a change of heart and mind. Seek the Lord with your whole heart and ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit and be baptized in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loves you more than you can even imagine. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and give your heart to Him. Invite Him into your heart . Read His word daily. It is the sword of the Holy Spirit and the word cleanses and heals. And ask the Lord Jesus to lead you and guide you through the rest of your journey.

There are two more important versus that you didn't mention, that give a great insight into the wise and foolish virgins. Song of Songs chapters 3 and 5 tell us about these two virgins. One isn't waiting for her love when He comes to get her and the other is already out in the streets anticipating His arrival. The foolish virgin doesn't answer when He arrives at her door and when she finally does get up to answer Him, He is gone. She goes out into the city and is beaten by the guards of the town. The wise virgin is actively looking for Him and has already gotten out of bed and is asking the guards if they have seen Him. She then sees Him far off and they come together and it is amazing. The foolish virgin didn't care until it was too late.

I like this thought from Song of songs and had never connected this to the parable of the virgins. I have to think about this now. It has always bothered me that the bride is missing in this parable. She is very conspicuous by her absence. I have always assumed that the bride is not mentioned in the parable because of the ambiguity of Israel and the church (i.e. not the place for Jesus to go into this!). It was assumed by me that the virgins are not the bride because there is more than one of them, and Jesus could not condone polygamy, but perhaps this is indeed the case.

Thank you. "One isn't waiting for her love when He comes to get her.." Strike me to think of the one who probably lost her first love or slothfully sinned of procrastination. "..the other is already out in the streets anticipating His arrival." homiletically is the one who preaches or shares that good news, always. Of course, that cannot be happen without the indwelling and walking in the Holy Spirit, consequently the beaten by guards and so on.

The 10 virgins represents 2 classes of believers awaiting the 2nd coming of Christ. Virgins because they express a pure faith of God.5 are wise and 5 are foolish. The 5 wise virgins they had the oil for their lamps. The lamp represents The word of God(Bible) the oil represents the Holy Spirit. So the followers of Christ are to shed light into the darkness of the world. Thru the Holy Spirit ,Gods word is a light as it becomes a tranforming power in the life of the receiver. The foolish virgins are not hypocrites. They have regard for the truth., they have advocated the truth, they are attracted to those who believe the truth; but they have not yielded themeselves to the Holy Spirit's working. They have not fallen upon the Rock, Christ Jesus ,and permitted their old nature to be broken up. When starled from their lethargy ,they discern their destitution, and entreat others to supply their lack; but in spiritual things no man can make up another's deficiency. But character is not transferable. No man can believe for another. No man can receive the Spirit for another. No man can impart to another the character w/c is the fruit of the spirit's working.

The problem is that this implies the holy spirit will leave the true believer if they are not fully yielding, Which is something Believers learn to do and does take time, Through sanctification, Works that the father prepared in advance, his assurance to make sure we are blameless on the day of redemption , the spirit being sealed unto the last day, He who has the spirit has life, etc. It still becomes work salvation if it is up to you to keep the spirit lit or suffer the spirit going out completlly, A true believers oil or holy spirit will never burn out complelty, it can dim, but not go out, Because the fire is sustained by "the one who sustains" it is God that does all, We are not more powerful than he, HOWEVER, there are those that have a "form of godliness but deny the power, The langauge in this verse also uses the "lord lord" showing the connection to the false believers at the judgement seat. I've certainly ignored the spirit in my walk, And yielded, but there have been years i let it dim, But He never has gone out, He always has pushed me into his work one way or another, He has always chastened me and convicted me to turn me back around. I believe God will fight for us completly as well as the lord advocating for us day and night all the way until the last moment. We shall suffer loss of reward, that is clear, But not loss of the spirit.

    Hebrews 01:9
“Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.”
    Isaiah 61:3
“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”
Psalm 133(A Song of degrees of David.) Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
    2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore
Matthew 5:14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
    John
    11
1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
7 Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.
18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:
19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.
    Song of Solomon 5:3
“I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them?”
    John 13:10
“Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.”
    John 13:12
“So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?”
Luke 10And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:
24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
    Revelation 19:13
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

1 Corinthians 113Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Romans 8:6. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
      Revelation 11:8
“And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.”
      John
      5
1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.
16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
      26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
33 Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.
34 But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.
35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
41 I receive not honour from men.
42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

      John 17:17
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
      2 Peter 1:21
“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
      Luke 7
1 Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.
3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
6 Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.
11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
17 And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.
18 And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.
19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
20 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.
22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
26 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
27 This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
31 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.
36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Proverbs 21:20 - There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
James 5:14-15 - Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord
      Job 29:6
3When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness; 4As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle; 5When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me; 6When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil; 7When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street! 8The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up. 9The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.
Exodus 27:. 20And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. 21In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.

    Matthew 22:2-10 KJV
The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I am saying this with respect, no hostility, just gentle correction. You actually have the order of things wrong in you explanation. The Bridal Party gets ready at the BRIDES house, They wait for the bridegroom who will be sent from his FATHERS house. When he is on the way, the bridal party goes out to meet him as he comes to the brides house. Then when they meet him they CONTINUE to the brides house and the wedding supper is held there. THEN, the groom takes his bride to his Fathers house afterwards. We see a detailed view of this in the book of Tobit. It is a Jewish 1st century book with the most detailed explanation of this type of thing. It is not scripture, but does describe Jewish life and a wedding correctly with their traditions and history.

The foolish virgins believe John the Baptist was unnecessary and are busy preparing themselves for the Second Coming in total disregard of Malachi 4:5-6. It is God to prepare us for His Coming in fulfilment of prophecy. I cannot see how denominations or the multitudes of private churches can adequately get the people ready. John the Baptist was the key to the First Coming of Christ. Malachi 4:5-6 is the key to the Second Coming, not just any man. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Did jesus not say the works I've done you will do, and even greater works? The story of bread & fish he fed thousands through faith. So did the wise ones do the will of the creator? Thank you pastor Nelson, great teaching. For me I struggle to reconcile how the 10 virgins represent the Church? She/we the Ecclesia are the bride! She should be inside the house waiting for the Bridegroom not outside waiting for the Bridegroom. If the Ecclesia is the body of Christ and the body of Christ is the bride and if the 10 virgins were the Church, then the Bride is only half a bride with half her body left outside represented by the 5 who ran out of oil and half in the ceremony. I believe the principles of the 10 virgins are there to follow, but for anyone imply the 5 virgins are believers who lose their salvation for me is to say Christ isn't able to save us to the uttermost all who believe in Him.
It says of the virgins they went out to meet the bridegroom, so they were outside. Mt 25:1 However, in verse 6 we read “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ Who is the one to come out to meet Him? It can't be the 10 virgins who are already out waiting to meet Him. It's His espoused one I believe who's waiting inside her father's house ready and waiting for the call of the bridegroom to come out [1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and John 14:1-4! This follows the pattern of the Jewish wedding contract. Just a thought!!!!

@@GG-wi2ij The 10 virgins represent the jewish remnant described in Zechariah 13:9.
Zechariah 13 = TWO thirds of Israel dies and ONE third of Israel survives the 7-year tribulation.
If you want to understand the parable of the 10 virgins you need to look at entire context which is Matthew 24-25 (The Olivet Discourse).
You see the Olivet Discourse is in context with the 7-year tribulation which has nothing to do with the church.
It's all about Israel. Israel needs to be ready for the second coming of Christ.
It is important to recognize that Jesus’ teaching in this discourse is in reference to Israel and not the Church. Christ was speaking of God’s future program for Israel. Other passages to consider when studying the Olivet Discourse are Daniel 9:24-27 and Revelation 6:1-19:21, which refer to the future seven-year period called the tribulation. God’s program for the Church concludes with the rapture, which is not taught in the Olivet Discourse. The rapture of the Church is found in John 14:1-4; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
The 5 foolish virgins represent TWO thirds of Israel which will perish.
The 5 wise virgins represent ONE third of Israel which will survive the horrible 7-year tribulation.

I can’t help but think that it’s impossible to go to the store and buy “holy spirit“ or “salvation“. Clearly the oil represents something tangible and physical because the wise virgin stated we don’t know if we’ll have enough for us so we can’t share. Since when can’t Christians share or messianic Jews share The gospel and the Holy Spirit with others? Also how can sharing the Holy Spirit with others deplete your Holy Spirit?
I think it’s much more likely that this deals with surviving the mark of the beast during the tribulation. If you can’t buy or sell and there isn’t a pre-TRIB rapture, how do you eat?

    • @dansandman7271
      @dansandman7271 Před 3 měsíci

Consider the 10 virgins.
By that definition set by Jesus, in Gods words, the pre trib people would be the TARES because they believe they go up first.

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years?
The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. In this world, the great fertility of atheism can be explained by the fact that there is no main opponent of critics of the Bible - the Church. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.

@@KidbuuGODMODE When we say there are no miracles, we mean the miracles that accompanied Christ's church in the first century. Where is the Church of Christ? Jesus said: *"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house."* (Matthew 5:14-15).
If the Church of Christ existed, it would be noticed all over the world, so it wouldn't take long to find it. It is the same as if Jesus, who preached in Judea, had not been noticed by the Jews who lived there.
What can we know about the church of Christ? What was she like? All we know about the Church of Christ is what we know from the books of the New Testament. We know of no other Church of Christ outside of the New Testament.
What was the Church of Christ like in the books of the New Testament?
Certainly not as we are now being represented by people who create so-called "Churches of Christ" according to their desires, just as political parties, public and commercial organizations create.
Did people create the Church of Christ in the first century? Of course not, for it is written: *"And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence."* (Acts 1:4-5).
The church of Christ is not just an assembly of believers, but an assembly of believers baptized by the Holy Spirit. For before the baptism with the Holy Spirit, the disciples of Christ were also considered believers, but then there was no Church of Christ. The church of Christ came into existence after the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the advent of the day of Pentecost.
As written: *"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."* (Acts 2:1-4).
This is how the Church of Christ was founded.
Since that time, in addition to baptism with water, believers in the first century also received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The apostles were placed at the head of Christ's Church, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit were abundantly manifested through the Church.
As written: *"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."* (1 Corinthians 12:27-28).
This was the Church of Christ in the first century, but for 2000 years we do not see such a Church of Christ; there are no apostles, no prophets, no one has miraculous powers and the gifts of healing. But we do see assemblies of people led only by teachers who speak in the name of Christ, but who do not have the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said: *"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover"* (Mark 16:15-18).
There we also read: *"So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following"* (Mark 16:19-20).
I would like to draw your attention to these words: *"the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following".*
that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus.
For 2000 years, including our time, we have not seen any believers who have accompanied or are accompanying these signs. But in the books of the New Testament we read that in the first century, believers performed many miracles.
As written: *“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”* (Acts 6:8).
*“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them”* (Acts 15:12).
*"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city"* (Acts 8:5-8).
Where are Stephanes, Barnabas, Pauls in our time? Where is Philip, who brings great joy to the cities?
In which church do the blind gain sight? Where are the lame and bedridden jumping for the joy of being healed? Where are demons cast out? Where are the dead raised? Where are the Prophets? Where do they lay hands on the sick and get rid of sickness? Such miracles are not performed in any church, anywhere in the world.
Jesus said: *“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”* (John 14:12).
But where are these believers now doing the works of Jesus and even more than Jesus himself did?
The Church of Christ was destroyed in the first century and for 2000 years false churches appear that claim to be the Church of Christ but do not have the testimony of God, that is, miracles. It was by miracles that God testified about the Church of Christ, just as he testified about Jesus.
As written: *“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:”* (Acts 2:22).
God testified about Jesus, and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. But the Church of Christ was destroyed in the same way as Christ was killed in due time, and therefore the signs and wonders that accompanied the Church ceased, and now She has been buried for 2000 years, but will rise in the last days as Jesus rose again.
The prophecy of the death and resurrection of the Church is present in the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).
"Revelation" also prophesies about the emergence of the Church: *“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”* (Revelation 12:1).
The emergence of the Church will just be a great sign of the imminent Coming of Christ.

ALMIGHTY GOD has a purpose and reason why everything is put in the Bible. When you look at the number 5 in the Bible it speaks of grace. The 5 wise virgins are those who come under the “true grace” of ALMIGHTY GOD & are prepared for the LORD’s coming by being sanctified by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT..(1 John 3:2-3) The 5 foolish virgins are those who have a “false grace.” They have been deceived to believe that they can continue living an Old Covenant life and not have to worry about cleansing the inside of the cup..(inner-life) JESUS rebuked such hypocrites..Religious Pharisees that didn’t want to follow HIM..They continued to live an Old Covenant life and never came into the New Covenant that JESUS has purchased for us on the cross. Many people never repent of their ways and are told to just say a prayer and you are saved. Many people have the WORD but don’t have the HOLY SPIRIT. The HOLY SPIRIT is what shines the LIGHT of JESUS CHRIST in our heart therefore convicts of our sin..

What determines if you have oil in your lamp?
My response: Your belief in the gospel. (Trusting that the death and resurrection of Jesus will save you eternally).
The response in this video: Loving God/Godliness (this video implies that if you don't love God, you are likely a false believer).
Loving God/Godliness is not a requirement for salvation, or a measure of our salvation.
There are no such thing as a "false believer". You either believe or you don't. You can live like the devil and believe in the gospel. You can live almost like a Saint and yet not believe.
Salvation hinges on the object of your faith (which should be Jesus Christ), not your Christian life.

This parable was taught to the Jews at that time, it is not meant for the Church. The virgins are the Jews during the Tribulation. The kingdom of heaven is when Christ physically sits on the throne of David and rules the world with a rod of iron. In this time of God's Grace we enter the kingdom of God by being born again by the Spirit of God. By believing that Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father, was sent to shed his blood for us on the cross to die for our sins and that He was buried and that He defeated death by rising from the grave 3 days later.

The foolish virgins are jews and those judaized. Judah alone was divorced.
Jeremiah 18/13 'In that case, Yahweh says this:
"Ask now among the nations, who has heard of such things? The virgin of Israel has committed a most vile thing. 14 Does the snow of Lebanon cease from its rocky slopes, or do you abandon the cold waters flowing from afar?
15 Because My people have forgotten Me, they have burned incense to idols and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the age-old paths, to walk on pathways, not on a highway, 16 to make their land desolate, a perpetual hissing[Matt23/33]; everyone who passes by there will be astonished and shake his head. 17 I will scatter them as if by an east wind before the enemy; I will show them My back and not My face in the day of their calamity."
18 Then they said, 'Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah For the law will not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us strike him with hard words, and let us not give heed to any of his words.'
      I say Jews and Judaized
Matthew 23/29 'Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you found the tombs of the prophets and decorate the memorial tombs of the righteous, 30 and you say, "If we had been around in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets," 31 so that you give witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers! 33 Serpents! Progeny of vipers![divorced treacherous sister Judah]
How can you escape from the judgment of the Valley of Hinnom?[read Obadiah his word is faithful and true]
34 'On account of this, you understand, I authorize for you prophets and sophisticated men and scribes, and some of them you will murder and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from town to town, 35 so that against you might come all the righteous blood poured out on the Earth, from the blood of the righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the Sanctuary and the altar. 36 Truly I say to you, all these things will come against this race.
37 'Jerusalem, Jerusalem, murdering the prophets and stoning those who have been sent to her! How often I have longed to gather together your children, in the way that a bird gathers together her chicks under the wings, but you have not been willing! 38 See now, your house is being left to you desolate. 39 For I say to you, you will by no means see me from now until you will say:
"Exalted is the one coming in the name of the Lord."'
In the authority of Yahweh and Jesus
Judah, Judah murdering the prophets and stoning those who have been sent to her!
In the context of Jeremiah 2/28-37 it is speaking only of Judah! Judah! Verse 28 Judah...
Jeremiah 2/32 "Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me, for days without number. 33 Why do you ornament your way to look for love? For this reason you have even taught your ways to wicked women. 34 And on your skirts is found the blood of the lives of helpless innocent people. I have not found it by searching, but it is on all these skirts. 35 Yet you say, 'Because I am innocent, surely His anger will turn from me.' As you will see, I will enter into judgment with you, because you say 'I have not sinned.'
John 16/7 'But I speak the truth to you. It is to your advantage that I should go away, for if I do not go away the Counsellor cannot come to you. But if I depart, I will send him to you. 8
'And when he comes, he will make the facts known to the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgement: 9 concerning sin, because they[jews/judaized] do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I am going away to my Father and you will behold me no more; 11 and concerning judgement, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.
Matthew 25/1 At that point, the Kingdom of the Exalted[Israelites, not divorced Judah] will be likened to ten virgins who, having taken their torches, went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 But five of them were prudent, and five foolish. 3 Those being foolish, having taken their torches, took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their containers with their torches. 5 'But the bridegroom lingered, and they all became drowsy and went to sleep. 6 But at midnight an uproar arose: "Look, the bridegroom's coming! Come out to meet him." 7 Then all those virgins were woken and they trimmed their torches. 8 But the foolish said to the wise, "Give us some of your oil, because our torches are being snuffed out." 9
'The wise, though, answered, saying, "In case there might not be enough for us and for you, you rather, though, go for yourselves to those who sell and buy." 10 But as they went their way to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut. 11
'Afterwards the other virgins came as well, saying, "Lord, Lord, open for us." 12 But in answer, he said, "Truly I say to you, I do not know you." 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Those saying it's about being rapture ready, who judaized you?
      Amos 5/18 'Woe to you who long for the day of Yahweh! For what good is the day of Yahweh for you? The day of Yahweh is darkness, and not light;
Matthew 24/39 and they did not come to know until the flood[of people] came and wiped everybody out, so also will be the magisterial presence of the Son of Man. 40 'Then two men will be in the field; the one will be taken[killed], and the other will be left.[no cowards will enter the kingdom] 41
Two women [wise & foolish] will be grinding in the mill; one will be taken[killed], and the other will be left [a coward bridegroom denier] 42
'Be watchful, therefore, for you do not have any intuitive knowledge of what time your Lord comes. 43 But know this: that if the master of the house had intuitively known in which watch the thief was coming, he would have been on guard and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 On account of this, you also must become ready, for the Son of Man comes in an hour you do not expect. 45
'Who, then, is the faithful and wise servant whom his master has made ruler at the head of his household, to give them food in due season?
46 Joyful is that servant whom his master, in his coming, will find doing this.
47 Truly I say to you, he will make him ruler in charge of all his property.[John 16/13-16]
Hosea 6/9 And as gangs of robbers lie in wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the road by consent, for they commit lewdness.
Matthew 24/48[foolish virgin judaized] But if that evil servant should say in his heart, "My master delays to come," 49
and should begin to beat the fellow servants [wise virgins], and to eat and drink with the drunkards[to kill the Son of Man, the Son of God Set Apart by the Blood & Oil of Jesus], 50
the master[Son of Man, Bridegroom Set Apart by Jesus] of that servant [wise virgin] will come in a day in which he[foolish virgin] does not expect, and in a hour he[foolish virgin] is not aware of, 51 and he[Bridegroom] will cut him [foolish virgin] in two, and assign his[Judaized foolish virgin] portion with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Jesus prophesying the Son of Man would be anointed by his blood and oil and knew it took two sacrifices for atonement
John 6/53 So Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you unless you [kill] eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in you. [Rev 19/17...'Come and gather yourselves together for the feast of the Mighty God, 18 so that you can eat the flesh of kings and flesh of commanders of a thousand and flesh of the Mighty men.]
54 He[Bridegroom] who feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eonian life, and I will raise him up in the last day.[Because the foolish virgins kill him]
55 For my flesh most truly is food, and my blood most truly is drink. 56 He[Bridegroom] who feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
Psalm 109/18 As He clothed himself with a cursing as with his garment, so let it go like water into his bowels, and like oil into his bones.
John 6/57 'As the living Father authorized me, and I live through the Father, the one feeding on me will also live through me. 58 This is that bread come down from Heaven, not comparable to how your fathers ate the manna and died. He who eats this bread[Son of Man/Bridegroom but as a wise virgin who believes and doesn't kill him] will live throughout the eon.

Some answers must be ascertain through scripture and seeking discernment from the Holy Spirit. There is no correlation between the Church and bride in some parables. The bride represent the moment in time where all things are to happen. The Church is represented by the attendees of the wedding.
Matt 22 1-14. Speaks of a marriage as well with a King and the marriage of his Son. We know this to be a correlation with the King being GOD and the Son being Jesus. We know outside of the parable that Jesus is coming back for the Church. Therefore the guests are all of us which is the Church. There are three critical aspects GOD,Jesus and us a.k.a Church, guest , or the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
Each parable speaks of getting people from the streets and highway (gentiles)

Why do all interpret this parable the same way according to, if you are OSAS, the foolish virgins being unsaved and the opposite, you can lose your salvation mob saying, the foolish virgins lost their salvation. Both these diametrically opposing interpretations cannot be correct, so what then is the correct interpretation.
The answer is the missing verses, that no one mentions, that connects all these parables together. That is the unforgivable or unpardonable sin that Jesus talks about to His apostles and disciples in Luke 12, Matthew 12 and Mark 3. We can lose our eternal salvation on this one specific sin called blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and only by this sin are we who are saved, become lost forever, no repentance left and no forgiveness.
We are eternally saved when we receive the Holy Spirt and our works (good fruit) is the proof that we are saved: justified, sanctified and are the Holy temples of God. When these people sin against the Holy Spirit they are then lost forever, they can never be recovered. These are the five foolish virgins that had no extra oil.
False conversion or the unsaved do not have the Holy Spirit and their works (rotten fruit) however "good" they think is proof that they are unsaved. These people can come to true repentance and become saved before Christ returns.

All the Virgins were believers. “Lord, Lord”(only believers can call Jesus lord). All the Virgins were also raptured….hence, all believers.
This is a kingdom of Heaven parable, not a salvation/Heaven parable.

The church is the body of Christ, not the bride. Israel is the bride I’d Christ and the parable applies to Israel during the Tribulation leading up to His second coming. All virgins began with oil in their lamps. IF the oil represents the Holy Spirit, which is doesn’t, then the parable teaches that Christians can be disindwelt by the Holy Spirit, which is contrary to scripture. Rightly divide the word and you’ll understand. Do not misapply scripture about Israel to the church.

Agreed, the kingdom of heaven is only preached in the gospel of Matthew. It is not mentioned in the other 3 gospels. The gospel of Matthew was written to a specific audience and that is the Jews. In this dispensation of Grace we enter the kingdom of God by being born again by the Spirit of God.

Your explanation seems to explain the fact The foolish virgins had no oil. Could it be they tried to deceive the wise five (who had true faith) when they said our oil has run out? they even went through the motions of trimming their wicks; oil is required to do so, more deception? Might the instructions of the wise virgins; go buy from the sellers be an indication they (the wise) knew of a deception since The Holy Spirit can not be purchased?

      Amos 5/18 'Woe to you who long for the day of Yahweh! For what good is the day of Yahweh for you? The day of Yahweh is darkness, and not light;
He who eats this bread[Son of Man/Bridegroom but as a wise virgin who believes and doesn't kill him] will live throughout the eon

"Virgins" are Christians. Since we are in covenant with Him, we as believers are His Virgins.
Lamp is surely our faith in Him as our Saviour. We are the "light of the world" Matthew 5:14 and children of light.
But the "oil" can be righteousness, good deeds, Holy Spirit, knowledge (from the Bible) and etc. All are qualified to refer to "oil" in question because the fact that the "lamps" of the Foolish ones lacked oil that they stopped shining.
All Virgins fell asleep may refer to we sometimes forget the imminent return of Christ and her caught up with the worldly affairs. The sleep might also refer to forgetting to pray as Jesus admonishes the Apostles in Luke 22:46 asking “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.”
The groom, Lord Christ, comes unexpectedly in the middle of the night just like the classic Jewish marriages, where the Groom comes to the house of the Bride unexpectedly (usually in the middle of the night) to take the bride to his father's house. The Groom usually tries to catch the Bride asleep.
However, I'm convinced that the oil is the Holy Word of God, His instructions in the Holy Bible because the wise ones tell the Foolish ones to get some oil from those who sell it. Things like the Holy Spirit, righteousness, blessings, good deeds can't be bought and people can't run out of the Holy Spirit and others. But knowledge can be acquired, the knowledge that we need to know what righteousness is found in the instruction of God. The wise are basically telling the Foolish ones to go and learn the Lord's ways/wisdom so you don't lack oil, and the Foolish ones go away but until they learn the required knowledge and return it is too late, the Lord/Groom has come and gone! Therefore, we must always be prepared for the Lord's return. The best way we can do that is by reading God's words so are reminded and not lack any wisdom. Because People are destroyed for the lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). We must also share God's words and Jesus Instructions to us because those who keep His commandments will be saved (John 15:10).
So He doesn't say to us “I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.” ( Matthew 7:21-23).
"Lawlessness" is Torahlessness because Torah means "to instruct" and those who don't read the Bible wouldn't know what God/Christ instructs!
    Related passages:
"And no man, when he hath lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but putteth it on a stand, that they that enter in may see the light. For nothing is hid, that shall not be made manifest; nor [anything] secret, that shall not be known and come to light. Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath."
    - Luke 8:16-18,
    Matthew 9:37-38
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

First of all, I believe the five foolish virgins are those who are filled with the Holy Spirit but have never been baptized in the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit baptism is to be filled with the Spirit to overflowing. What triggers the overflow, Spirit baptism, is to surrender the last vestige of our will, our tongue, to the Holy Spirit. The Word says that the tongue is the bodys' most unruly member that no man can tame (James 3:8).
After praying for and being filled with the Spirit we must consciously yield our tongue to the Holy Spirit until He takes control of it, " tames" it, and enables us to speak in tongues. When that occurs it triggers the filling overflow while at the same time the Holy Spirit becomes one with our spirit.
The foolish virgins had been filled but had not spiritually become one with the Lords' Spirit.
That is why Jesus told them " I know you not". In the spiritual sense to "know" the Lord and for Him to know you , you must having become spiritually one. Just as physically a husband and wife become one flesh when the mate. The Lord becomes joined spiritually with us as the result of the Holy Spirit baptism and we become part of His bride.
Secondly, the speaking the name of Jesus Christ over the baptismal candidate is the same as a bride having a bridegroom name called over her by the minister.
This is why the foolish virgins couldn't enter the wedding banquet and the Lord saying to them, " I know you not".
They had not taken on His name at baptism and had not been joined with His Spirit as the result of the Holy Spirit baptism.

? To be saved at all you need the holy spirit, You recieve the spirit when you believe, There is no filled but not sealed , you have or you have not, In the old testiment , the spirit came and went with people, in the new covenant with christ, It is sealed in us till the last day, Even with verses of laying on the hands etc. There are also verses that state "did you recieve the spirit for doing the works of the law OR BELIEVING WHAT YOU HEARD" When you believe, you HAVE been baptized into his kingdom with his spirit, You need no man to do that, Other wise, a Person can believe but get hit by a car before being "baptized in the spirit", What you speak of is man made doctrine. There is no distinction, You have the spirit or you don't. - The theif on the cross died after believing and went with christ, No extra steps, That is the mystery of the Gospel, Men can't understand the grace that is SO GREAT , we can't help but add works, or activities, or sections, or doctrines, These are elementry teachings, The Gospel, And the Gospel is lost if we forget so great a salvation, as christ puts it.

@@OfTheiAm The Holy Spirit is recieved as a result of the Holy Spirit baptism which must be prayed for after belief, repentance and water baptism. The word " recieve" in the N.T.s original Greek means " to take hold of" which requires action on our part.
At the conversion of Saul( Paul) after believing and being in repentance for three days he still had not yet recieved the Holy Spirit. That's why Ananias told him, " Why tarriest thou ? "Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins calling on the name of the Lord" ( Acts 22:16).

Brother is Not my intention to devalue your teaching this time at all! You’re a blessing for The BODY OF CHRIST… But I have to disagree that the Bridesmaids are just a part of a wedding ceremony. There are seven (7) churches Of CHRIST in the book of The Revelations, and All belong to HIM. This is a Spiritual Wedding and so it’s 10 spiritual Virgins that are the Church Of JESUS. 5 had additional oil, meaning a Reserve Of THE WORD, for they are called “prudent”, wise… diligent in knowing THE LORD. The other 5 were unwise, negligent, unwilling to pay the Price of time to be disciplined In THE WORD. They were filled with THE HOLY SPIRIT, but did not have The OIL OF THE WORD… so their light was quenching. The point is to be prepared, filled With THE HOLY SPIRIT but also The WISDOM OF THE WORD… Because if you do not know HIM, there is no relationship. You can’t marry someone you don’t know. GOD bless… Humbly I hope this helps someone! ❤
