Brazil great Ronaldo was targeted by Rangers in the summer of 1997, desperate to perform at the highest level in europe Rangers would offer Ronaldo an incredible contract which would see him only feature in Champions League matches and not require him to play at the weekend in the Scottish Premiership.
Ronaldo eventually moved onto Inter to play in the stronger league and the rest is history but it just shows Rangers' ambition at the time and who knows what would've happened if he did join Glasgow Rangers...
