Hello, I made discord only to help you improve your skills with sculpting head.
Discord Link : / discord
It's a beginner tutorial at first we start with simpler shapes and form. That way we make a good base from which we can more more in-depth and this way we can slowly increase the details and complexity of over project while not making it to complicated on workflow.
This is the whole series mash together for people who want to learn everything in one go. This tutorial contains how to sculpt: Head, eyes, nose ,mouth, ears, neck! Whole video is full on explanations and overdraws with annotations to show you thru the artist eyes!
After the first half of the tutorial the sculpting becomes more advanced and shows how to polish the look of face features to reach the next level of sculpting.
This tutorial is aimed at the beginners but have in mind that this is sculpting tutorial and in it there is not a lot of explanation on how the program works! The video focuses on teaching the head sculpting itself and not the program! So before the tutorial starts I highly recommend for audience to watch and learn the program from other tutorials like Blenders guru doughnut tutorial series.
Tutorial series to help you learn sculpting head with simple techniques and overdraws with explanation and commentary.
Starting with making the simple head and then going more in depth how to make it look more professional
Tutorial will be useful for person who just beginning to sculpt heads or for someone who is trying to do it but struggling.

For anyone watching just remember no video can take you from beginner to pro in a few hours. You need days and weeks of practise! Keep going!
Is this the right path though?
@@Nierez just taking the step out of the door is the right path! But this does seem more intermediate than beginner friendly. If you're a complete beginner I recommend blender guru's donut tutorials
bro....u depressed me
@@3dxcrazyindia822 its common sense.
@@shujin6600 yeah...just kidding
Your tutorial is really great, but one major thing, is the symmetrical/mirror effect you gave, you didn't gave any info, it took me 1 hour to find how to do it :(
Btw if any one is wondering its in the tool/workspace tab then go activate the X in the symmetrical option.
For my blender, it's simply under tool/symmetry tab
Bruh thank both of you a lot! I was completely stuck.
Thanks so much !!!!
OMG THANK YOU
ya'll are life savers
I need to practice a lot to get a result like this, amazing job!
Thank you, just keep practicing and you got it !
I know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost the account password. I would love any help you can give me.
@Deshawn Elisha it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D

I'm only at minute 12 and I'm so happy I can follow your instructions! I started learning 3d/blender yesterday. If it looks decent I'll make sure to show you what I came up with.
Nice to hear :)
How is it going for you now?
@@catinbox768 I managed to finish the tutorial the day after I posted this comment, but youtube doesn't accept links. I was VERY PROUD of what I was able to do and very thankful to op!

This was so freaking helpful! I was hard stuck until I found this!

Hi! Thanks a ton for sharing your big brain knowlegde AND making a tutorial sculpting a realistic human (since almost everyone tells you start with anatomy and realism but then you kind of find a lot of videos about sculpting fictional, cartoon or fantasy characters).
I find myself even more interested about the small details of facial features after watching the video, your tips are really helpful when trying to get face right :)
Small details are added usually technically like using alphas or maps and not so much sculpting

I read people say that you don't need to know 2d art to create 3d art, but as someone with art background, I can't fathom learning 3d sculpting from scratch. I am in month two of blender learning and just got to sculpting. Thus far this step feels to me the most natural and easiest after 12 years of fine arts. 3d sculpting is much easier than 2d art but I know the reasons of why I move things the way I do and that feels like an irreplaceable perspective that happened over years of art. Blender is just amazing! Can't wait to learn rigging and animation next!
2d knowledge makes it much easier :) but that doesn't mean that you can't start with 3d :)
Thank you for making it a single object for head modeling! I knew there had to be a more simple way than what I see in every other video which is stacking objects into each other.
From all the tutorials, I've watched. Yours is the most helpful. Not too complicated because you show where you point the cursor is from the tools and settings you use. Thanks sir. Though missed some infos but it's all great
Out of all the youtube videos on head sculpting -I choose above-Beyond brilliant. With unlimited thanks
You know what i like about this tutorial? It's how he narrates it. The words he used were not excessive. Just simply what you just need to do. I appreciate a lot of CZcamsrs who dedicated their time to teach us, it's just that sometimes they tend to overtalk. However, still owe you all a lot!
Thank you so much! I really learned a lot in a short amount of time. Keep it up, man!
No problem, glad you liked it ;)
Amaizing not cuts no jumps from detail to detail just slow work thanks for this
I’m subscribing RIGHT NOW. Geeeze, I know a good thing when I see it. I love this guys work! It’s gold!
Very rarely do I see a tutorial so complete; you go into anatomy as well which is helpful in itself.
CZcams algo really pulling through with this one, good job!
:) thank you
What took me all week to do you did in an hour and a half, Amazing!! This video was extremely helpful, Thanks for helping me make my first head.
This is by faaaarrrrr SO much better than ALL the other tutorials I’ve seen (and I’ve seen a lot) thank you so much for doing this. Honestly man.
thank you :) hope it helps
It's a late comment but, if you're an absolute beginner, and you think you're going to come out of this video doing a professional sculpt or even intermediary, you are not, and I'm not saying you can't but it takes time and practice, A LOT of practice, It's good to watch tutorials to learn some techniques is good, but stop watching 5-6 hours of tutorials and think to yourself "now I'm a pro", just take the techniques shown in the video and apply them by yourself. You're going to improve much faster.
I mean I did so like sheeesh
Sounds like you are mad that he is helping us advance 😏 😉
You guys should be ashamed of yourselves, for this man speaks the truth and yet you do exactly what he says not to do and feel like ur fr a pro. So ignorant 😒

Now I am creating a head based on Henry Cavil
So far so good.
Thank you for this tutorial very easy to follow you deserve more subscribers
you are a legend!!! really helpful
This is the BEST tutorial for beginners. You dont have to model EXACTLY what his head model looks like, but use the tools and directions he is showing you to make it your own, that's how I learn. My head doesn't look exactly like his, but I kinda made it my own style while following the video and applying the knowledge he gives. I may stick to this method of sculpting. 10/10 would do again many times.
Amazing to hear that :) !

Nice to hear
0:00 Basic Head and Neck
FEATURES
8:42 Nose
16:06 Eyes. Anatomy Tips: Eyebrow ridge should hang over the top of the eyes just a bit. The outer edge of the eye socket should form part of the "edge" between the front planes and side planes. Inner corner of eye socket should always be lower than outer corner or at the same level, but never higher. East Asian people's top eyelid folds over the bottom one at the inner corner, making the top one follow a nice curve. No racial differences in outer corner. Eyelid thickness should be consistent. Also, eyelid thickness shouldn't be too small. If there's a slight visible shadow between the bottom of the top eyelid and the eye itself, you've probably got good eyelid thickness. Inner corner will also be slightly deeper into the face, so don't let it be too flat. Sculpting Tip: Use Shift+CTRL and click drag to lasso draw a mask.

well not even an hour i have watched till now 10min and done 5 projects because of it. Good job
Awesome. Very inspiring and fun to watch.
Really good! Thank you and the algorithm. I was able to create my first "proper" 3d character :)
I think this tutorial is more inclined to those who at the very least understand the basics of blender. I do not think this is a beginner friendly tutorial, as I myself just started blender and am hunting down tutorials to learn how to use it and I am definitely having trouble not only keeping up but understanding the proper use of all the tools as well as hot keys. I will return to this tutorial once I have a much better grasp of blenders functions, etc. If anyone out there is a beginner to blender try the donut tutorial for beginners it is very good.
I love the work you did in this tutorial, The head came out beautifully and I hope to one day reach your level of skill with blender. I did enjoy the tutorial even though i stumbled my way through it for the most part. Great job, Love the content.
thanks for your video, you taught me to sculpt with blender, thanks you very much
thanks for the tutorial. I'm just starting to get interested in 3D and your video helped me figure it out)
In case you found when you pulled the neck out it was dragging the rest of the head model down too... Check under the mask brush settings and untick 'feather'

Ladies and gentlemen, take notes.
He didn't delete the starting cube.
This is so amazing!!! WOW
My head came out surprisingly great. The only part that I sort of need to work on is the ears, but I think it was because I was unfamiliar with the sculpting tools. Thanks for the tutorial!
How do you make the two paralell dots appear on both sides of the object? I have only one dot and it affects only one side of the object making it impossible to symmetrically modify my object. Any help is appreciated.

Dont get me worng this is a very very good tutroial if I knew anything about sculpting at all but I don"t So it was confusing at the if you slowed down and showed the very I had no idea what you did at the beginning to make the cube sculptable overall everything else was great just wish the was there and your really fast on parts
He went to modifier properties and chose subdivision modifier and applied it on the cube.
Thanks very much for this amazing demonstration. 👌

can you make some hair tutorials in this sculpt
I will give it a try to make one!
for real, i only got halfway through this tut the other day and I'm already MASSIVELY better at heads. Cant wait to finish it to learn more tricks :D TYVM for sharing this video!
Lips and eyelids are still tricky but i can tell thats just me needing practice :D
Ignore the people complaining for attention. This is a fantastic tutorial, and much more helpful than the others ive followed so far. A lot of the bitching just seems to be people who havent practiced in this medium to any proficiency yet expect to be a AAA artist overnight.
Thank you so much :). I don't mind angry comments I try not to argue ;d.
Amazing to hear your sculpts doing great !
oh my god, your sculpt looks very clean...
im getting this on recomendation cool!
How did you do it, that everything looks so smooth? When I start sculpting the eyes, they look like Minecraft. :( Good Tutorial Bro. Helped me a lot!
At top left side I have vertices count try matching the count first, that should make easier to follow the look of mesh, next thing I do smooth the surface a lot, only thing is that with tablet smooth brush destroys the details less
@@justtisarts4635 Alright, I will try that, thanks a lot!

Best tutorial ever ! Thank you so much
Hi, I've been following your tutorial and I've few questions, I hope you take sometime and get back to me.
1. Whenever I use tools like Draw Straight/ Crease - The lines where I'm working looks crinkled.
2. When I was using Crease tool for lips, even after reducing the Focal size it wasn't coming as fine and thin as yours.
Please tell where I'm going wrong.
Thank You..!
On the top left of the screen I show how many vertices I have. The more you add the crispier the shapes you can make but the harder it will become to control the mesh and the brushes :)
hi thank you for your tutorial. i want to learn this but do you recommend using mouse or a drawing pad? thank you
Hi, Tablet!
Thank you for this
This channel is gold, thanks
This comment is gold ;d glad you enjoy it
Something's not working for me, I'm using the same Remesh resolution, but the sculpting keeps messing up the topology- the Draw Sharp on the eyelids is making this horrible mess of protruding polygons. Do I need to scale the model up or something? How do I get enough resolution without causing tons of lag?
He teaches
He sculpts
But most importantly : he doesn't delete the cube
THANK YOU I NEEDED THIS SO MUCh
That's amazing, it change my life, thanks for your video ❤

Thanks for the tutorial, I didn't imagine I was capable of getting almost the same result as you :D Best tutorial out there!
If anyone want some tips to learn it faster, pause the video in each part of the face and try it yourself, if its not good enough, ctrl-z and try again, keep an eye on the brushes he uses and how he use it. Cheers :)

legit didnt know anything about sculpting, then this video in my reccomendation, thanks bro!
Have fun sculpting :)
0:57 dont forget to press (x) on top right 3d viewport like mirror modifiers, so our mesh can symetrize beetween x axis
Thank you, Sir!
you saved my life XD
This tutorial is great! Whenever I try to smooth my mesh in blender, it seems to sand out too many details. I notice that when you use smooth your mesh retains its features perfectly, while still smoothing out the surface. I was wondering what settings you used to get this result? I can't seem to figure it out, any help would be appreciated.
yeahh that happens to me too
Try to remesh
I'm using tablet and when I'm smoothing I do tap only lightly on the surface so the brush becomes weak. Try playing with the smooth brush strength to find that sweet spot !
You could use scrape brush instead of smooth brush that will remove crust of the surface and not the valley so some details are preserved.
Thanks
Jesus loves you
@@justtisarts4635 I bought a tablet. So would it be a good idea to put all my strength values to 0 in the software? The pen has pressure sense etc.

3:28 my problem is that if i do it, I see a small smooth on the faces, but the faces dont smooth out. it looks almost the same
