If you're already using Wikipedia, you could have listed how many countries there are currently. Your video is just rubbish. No wonder you have so few subscribers.
Turkey 1793 was not exist in that year
Such videos are for clickbait only....sorry but you have to be more careful in such things because sadly, many people get educated, literally , from videos such as this on CZcams... unfortunately!!!? So, the wrong for them it will be real!!
The current 50 star American flag was first used in July 4 1960
you ve right!
Here is many mistakes
You forget one of the oldest country GREECE😳
Current Greek flag is from 1822
@@dbaznrNo. The current Greek flag is from 1978. In 1822 we had only the white cross in the blue. el.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%A3%CE%B7%CE%BC%CE%B1%CE%AF%CE%B1_%CF%84%CE%B7%CF%82_%CE%95%CE%BB%CE%BB%CE%AC%CE%B4%CE%B1%CF%82
Yesss
@@dbaznrtrue the old one had the cross in the middle not at the edge no lines as well
I'm not sure the video takes into account variations, and I also believe it skipped a lot of countries. US flag in 1777 looked far more different than what it looks like today. Many countries had their flag changed during time, and some countries were even formed AFTER their flag was supposedly adopted. Czechia's flag was for example created and first used in 1920 (so it's over 100 years old now), while Slovakia's flag I believe was made in 1993 (when Czechoslovakia split up). Of course it doesn't count flags of former countries that no longer exist (like USSR, Third Reich, Yugoslavia, etc.)
Yeah you're right. This video ain't accurate
That flag was Czechoslovakian.
Before splitting, Czech and Slovak parties agreed not to use the original flag, but Czechs changed mind stating that agreement berween parts of the original Czechoslovakia is not binding for the new Czech republic... but OK 😅
Lol that fake thumbnail to attract Indian viewers 😂😂😂
Our flag was adopted as 15 August 1947
Highest viewership
Gotta get them views
It worked i was like wtf
Yeah even my channel is mostly watched by people from India
You have many many mistakes in this video. Please check the history one more time, and then make a video without mistakes.
Where is Chile's flag?? It's used from 1817
Actually Japan changed it's flag in 1999
So the oldest continuously used flag is Danish flag (recorded by the Guinness)
The Japanese flag was first used possible before the 16th century but was formally adopted in 1870. I lived in Japan in the late 1970s; nothing changed in 1999🇯🇵.
@@dorist7280 shade of the red circle has been changed into little bit lighter one
@@central_asian_federation According to the Japanese government, the color of the red round shape of the Japanese flag is not red. They call it the "Be-ni" 紅色、color, an ancient reddish color used by Japan. Many Japanese do not know that, including me😳. It means Crimson color. Oh, well...there are so many different colors in red.🤔
D+ for accuracy...
Wales 655AD. The Dragon on the flag has been associated with Wales since at least the 600s.

Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia are missing. Also the flag of Switzerland is wrong. It is a square. The flag of the US was first used way later, when they added the 50th state. Spain changed their Logo several times, so should be later
Spain's is a design that has been unchanged since the late XVIII century. The variations are on the national coat of arms (which goes over the flag), not on the flag itself, and that during the two Spanish Republics (one in the XIX century, another in the XX) they used another flag and that design was not in use. But the design itself was unchanged, hilariously since king Charles III (of Spain) until nowadays with king Charles III (of England).
Tobago is NOT a country. The country is Trinidad and Tobago and the flag 🇹🇹 was first used in 1962, NOT 1963 .
The flag of Ireland is green, white and orange not orange , white and green!
They copied the Ivory Coast in error which is found earlier in the video. Not very precise in their delivery of what should be a factual video. So many Countries just not shown at all.
Accurate
The US flag is incorrect. The one with the 50 stars was in the 6Os. Many countries had variations not allocated properly in the video.
Like Japan, for example.
I really had a feeling this video was inaccurate.
I came here to say that too. Iraq's flag changed first with the three stars having Arabic for 'God is great' during the Gulf War and subsequent changes after the fall of Saddam Hussein.
Israel 1891???😂😂😂 It did not even exist in that year 😂😂😂
Correct! The flag was originally designed for the Zionist movement.
@@D4Z35you're a twat! That was always Israel. But the country was actually formed after the second world war.
Palestine still doesn't exist but it still has a flag
It's when the flag was created, not the state associated with it. South Sudan for example declared independence in 2011 but the flag was created and first used in 2004.
You are probably furious that the Palestinian is only from 1988 😂
The current design of the U.S. flag is its 27th; the design of the flag has been modified officially 26 times since 1777. The 48-star flag was in effect for 47 years until the 49-star version became official on July 4, 1959. The 50-star flag was ordered by then president Eisenhower on August 21, 1959, and was adopted in July 1960. It is the longest-used version of the U.S. flag and has been in use for over 63 years.
You forgot the Czech Republic and Slovakia
And Greece
Very inaccurate and bias info. Don't post anything if you can't post it right!
How can Israel flag is 1891 if the country was born in 1948,after the WWII
Albania wasn't a sovereign state in 1440 but still had a flag in the list yet you didn't comment on that. Your bias is showing
Unfortunately I have to agree there are so many inaccuracies... Flags and countries that are left out ..... And the video is misleading people ... It's a pity l!!!
Like austria had a black yellow flag and latvia was gone for the majority of history and japan had a flower in the dots place (if i recall correctly).
A flag similar to the current South Korean flag was used in 1919, but the flag wasn't used to represent South Korea until 1945 when it gained independence.
The USA flag should have been 1960 when it was changed to 50 stars
Right. If we're including all variations on the same flag the UK flag should have been 1707.
The British/UK 🇬🇧 flag is alot older than the US 🇺🇸 flag.
In Denmark we used to say we have the worlds oldest flag still in use. But Georgia and Japan...
which tools are used for making these kind of videos?
The colors of the Iranian flag are traditional, probably dating back to at least the 18th century, and can be interpreted as representing Islam (green), peace (white), and courage (red). It was first designed as a tricolor in 1907. The centerpiece of the flag was previously the sword-wielding lion standing in front of the rising sun, wearing a crown...
The American flag didn’t have 50 stars in 1777.
Yes russia oldest flag but middle time change black yellow wight and changed sovite unione flag and changed to Russian flag
South sudan got their own flag before independence 💀
Where are you from
Screenshoot
There are so many missing flags here from so many Countries. Dominican Republic, Kyrgyzstan, Andorra, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, to name just a few. Seriously need to revise this and release a new version.
You should also clarify the video description, perhaps confirm if continuously used or add in where updated, showing the updated with the correct date, or even add in the original ones also with their respective dates.
Just saying, not knocking you, please take this as constructive criticism.
Albania in the Top 10 🇦🇱😍❤️
Denmark's flag, known as the Dannebrog, is considered the world's oldest national flag still in use. According to legend, the flag fell from the sky during the Battle of Lyndanisse on June 15, 1219, providing divine support to the Danish forces. While the story is rooted in myth, historical records confirm that the Dannebrog has been in continuous use since at least the 13th century. This long, unbroken tradition of usage makes the Dannebrog the oldest national flag in the world that is still in use today.
Not particularly happy you ignored the individual flags of the UK, Wales Scotland and England that predate the union flag!
Plus a variation on the Union Flag was used as early as 1707.
@@damianjblackthe union flag is older than the US flag.
Agrees. Also the union flag is alot older than the US flag. Don't forget Northern Ireland flag.
@@wheelie_1988Northern Ireland is not in the Union flag, Ireland is (St. Patrick's Cross - white background with a red diagonal cross). Northern Ireland's flag is an English flag with a red hand in the centre (the red hand of Ulster).
I wouldn't take this video very seriously, so many inaccuracies and forgotten Countries.

Germany? West and PR and since 1990 one country?

Trust me bro. Japan is accurate tho as the neutral flag of all the different factions has always been a red sun on a white background. But my country, the Netherlands. I don't think it traves back to 1410.
Since it’s not there: 🇵🇪 1825
I had no idea that Afghanistan, as an Islamic emirate, had such a beautiful and unusual flag.
South Sudan flag from 2006, when country achieved independence and recognized by UN General Assembly at 2016😂😂😂
The flag of India was made official in 1947.
The only thing that happened in 2021 had to do with the amendment of the cloth used for the flag.
Japans flag is simple and elegant.
Austria did not even exist in 1230, its flag was recognized in 1918
Well if we were doing individual countries and not collective unions like the United Kingdom then there might be older flags. For example the St George's flag that represents England was first used in 1190 for shipping I think. Not the oldest flag buy still very old
if i not wrong,Japan Flag had old flag, now the japan flag is start after WW2.
Pakistan flag was first used in 1938 as it is the year when this 🇵🇰 flag was designed.
One guy made it for a new country in future, so it wasn't in use till 1947...
Albanian flag was first used by the League of Lezha in 1443, even though the grandfather of Skanderbeg had it 60 years before

No Taiwan (ROC). Flag adopted in 1895 and relinquished by the ChiComs in 1949. Wonder where this video originated from?
Turkish flag (Constantinople flag) used by Ottomans after the fall of Istanbul that transefered from Roman Empire can be aged back to 100 BCE. That makes it the oldest one still in use.
That Mexican flag shown i this video was adopted in 1968. In 1821 it was a very different design with diagonal bars of green, red ans white with golden stars

Current Mexican flag uses an emblem created during the Diaz Ordaz (bastard) administration in the 1960s, plus Italy wasn't a thing before the Napoleonic Wars

The English flag and Union Jack Flag are two different flags with the first Union Jack flag in 1608 and The Union Jack Flag with St Patrick's cross in 1801. But the English Flag which is the white flag with a red cross even goes back to 1190 from a source I have. Clearly you haven't done your research. The white flag with the red cross is called. St George's cross.
Where is the flag of Panama, first used in 1903?
England flag missing 1190
I didn't see the flag of Greece anywhere . We probably don't exist anywhere...😅
Ireland is green white and orange. That is the ivory coast
The USA flag pictured is not from 1777 it's from the 1950's
Poland 1831? From 1793 until 1918 there was no state of Poland.
Germany 1848? There was no German state at that time but a confederatiom of independent German states. Each using different flag. None was black-red-yellow.
Ukraine 1848? Where did you get that? Ukraine didn't exist as a state until 1991. It was a part of Sovietn Union until then. Before that it was a part of tsar russia and Poland.
So many inaccuracies for many of the flags shown. Maybe First Adopted would be better for historical reasons.
The flags of Serbia and Croatia are missing
Where is Colombia?
Turkey: 5.06.1923

😮 the tunisian flag from 1827????where is ti
This video is full of mistakes. The current US flag isn't the same as it was 1777.
If we mean the "kind of" earlier versions, than South-Korean flag is much older for example, but my country's flag (Hungary) is much older, since the Red-white-green colours were used for many centuries before 1848.
Afghanistan's flag was adopted on 1997 for first time. So again: this video is absolutely nonsense.
This japan flag 'hinomaru' has bien adopted as national flag on 13 august 1999
