    It's a Mustang! It's an SUV! It's the all-electric Ford Mach-E GT Performance edition! With engaging driving performance, no tailpipe emissions and over-the-air software updates on a huge center touchscreen, the Mach-E GT Performance drives and looks like a car of the future.
    My thanks to Ford Canada for giving me this vehicle to drive for several days.

    This is a great review in so many ways. Thanks very much. There's one thing I want to comment about, and you're not the only person who has done this: Talking about Unbridle Extend mode as a "track mode" [sic] makes people believe that. they might be able to go out and do a 20 minute sprint session at a road course.
    That's not happening. Ford does the best they can, but the car's setup doesn't allow for the kind of cooling necessary for real track use. You're going to overheat and be throttled before you get around the three miles of a typical road course.
    If you're talking parking lot gymkhana, that will work. But after your run you're still going to have to give the car time to cool down. It'll be a challenge warming up the Pirelli summer compound while also keeping the battery cool.
    Overall, the GT Performance is a tremendous everyday driver, and the MagneRide suspension and Pirelli summers are important parts of that. Your review was very helpful and a part of the decision making that went into the purchase of a 2023 GT Performance. Thanks very much for keeping up your reviews.

      Hello, much thanks for watching and I really appreciate the feedback! Also the clarity on the "track" use vs. reality. So true, that BEVs will get very hot when run hard, so if they don't have specific thermal management and other methods to combat this quick and intense heat, they will throttle back for safety and self-preservation.

    what a great review. i got mine about a month and half ago. and i am super happy. the performance is amazing and my range is not bad at all for a daily driver.

      That's great that you've decided to welcome an All-Electric Vehicle into your lifestyle, and your choice is really a good one! Yes, the driving dynamics and overall feel/look/features of the GT is excellent! For sure the range could be better, however for anything that is performance oriented, range will get sacrificed. As a daily driver, it's more than capable and so fun to drive!

    Hi. Great video. I have to admit I am struggling with great pain to select between the Mach E and the Cadillac lyriq. The Mach E is fun to drive, and feels personal, however, I know at least one person that traded in their Mach E due to kids being motion sick in the back. The solution available is apparently to buy the performance edition with the better tuned magnetic suspension. I test drove that version with my kids, and they felt a little carsick. It is a true bummer. The other thing is the lack of a hitch with wiring, as that is very important to me. Did you experience the bounce?

      Thanks for watching and I very much understand your situation! The Model 3 and Y have a terrible suspension and yes, anyone in my back seat was getting carsick due to agressive rebound. I replaced the shocks/springs with a MPP comfort kit and made a world of difference. So to you question, the Mach e GT is more performance oriented and feels stiffer. I did not have anyone in the back seat during my time with it, so I can't comment on the harshness. A non-GT spec Mach e may be better.
      The LYRIQ is heads and tails better for a comfort ride than the Mach E, and many other BEVs. It is very nice and very quiet too. If you are looking for a better ride, then the caddy is your pick.
      With regards to hitch/wiring, there may be 3rd party options, like Eco Hitch and Stealth Hitches. You can look at them if the OEM does not offer this.

    I am surprised he didn't mention the Performance seats as being too contoured/too restrictive. I have the same body type as Ken. Good to know.

      Thanks for watching! Yes good point, I actually thought I would find them harder and more restricted, but it was quite the opposite. It was a pleasure to drive and very comfortable overall.

      I have been test driving the PE. As a bigger guy, I thought I would hate the PE seats. The PE seats are my favorite seats of all the trim levels.
