    In case anyone is like me and the new OneNote update really messed all their setup at pen selection at 8:09 - you can still use Andys way to create shortcuts! After 2.5 hours i figured it out.
    First you need to set up all your most used pens. Secondly, you need to use the right or left arrows to navigate using the Alt bottom. And lastly you set it all up as a series of strokes in the Wacom. So just like in 9:45 when you see "{Alt}dy1", you will set it up as "{Alt}D{Right}{Right}{Enter}".
    You can imagine it as if you navigate yourself.
    BTWif you wanna set Eraser you can still set it as a key of its own in the set up bar.
    Hope it helps! after your video helped me set everything up I wanted to "help in return"...

      OMG 🤩 Thank you @yonatanblder for new keystroke update!!! Andy, please remake video with new shortcuts!!! Your video is great, but without shortcuts update, it is kind of half work!

      That works for only first time we select a pen. We can't select a pen which is on left

      going to hijack this comment to see if anyone knows how to set up a cycle of keystrokes on one key, specifically how to set it so pressing one button on the pen sets onenote to a different colour depending on how many times it was pressed, cycling between them.

    • @markthompson1439
      @markthompson1439 Před 11 měsíci

      @@theoreminegaming I just set up two hotkeys, one to cycle right and the second to cycle left. Eveytime I use the hotkeys, Onenote highlights my selection in the ribbon pannel. It's not the best solution but seems to be working for now.
      I'm looking for a good solution as well!

    You deserve a big LIKE just for your honesty. I can't believe how many videos on CZcams mislead the viewers into thinking that a drawing tool like a Wacom tablet is going to be as easy to write and make notes with as things like the Apple Pencil or Surface Pen.

    Extremely helpful video to set up your Pen tablet! I was already using mine for a couple of weeks now and after watching this video I realized that I wasn't taking full advantage from my Pen and from OneNote. Now I think I can be faster with my notes in general just by changing a few little things that slipped my attention before, and I have watched some videos on how to use the pen tablet with Onenote but none of those videos explained exactly how to set up your tablet to be more productive and faster, specially with the shortcuts
    Thanks for the video, 10/10 !!❤

    Thanks Andy for detailing how to set up a tablet like Wacom. I had actually purchased one a couple years ago but never really adopted using it because it wasn’t as easy as typing but your approach might do the trick! I’ve been switching over to a Mac Mini, along with my iPad and iPhone and using MS Office so now I have to determine whether my tablet will work for Mac OS

      Thanks Bob. If you have the same Wacom tablet that I have, it should work on the MacOS. I'm a Mac user myself (outside of business) and use my tablet with Photoshop and other apps.

    Hey Andy!
    Thanks for sharing your review on a graphic tablet in OneNote.
    I tried to use the Wacom graphic tablet with OneNote but I couldnt track where the pen was in OneNote since it's really tiny. Do you have any ideas for making the pen dot more visible?
    Kind regards Fabian

    Hello Andy, thank you for making this comprehensive tutorial. One question arises though, and that is, if the wacom intuos pro can also act as a touchpad, how come you don't use that feature for panning, scrolling and zooming? Why instead setup express shortcuts? Is the touch pad laggy or something?

    Interesting but I just wish I could do this with OneNote on iPad using Apple Pencil.
    I also wish that they would add a basic mind mapping option to OneNote.

    • @AndyPark365
      @AndyPark365  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks G T. Most of what I showed on the pen tablet can be done on the iPad version of OneNote. It's a little cumbersome to add external contents to the note page but can be done. And totally agree on the basic mind map option. Thanks for watching.

    • @AndyPark365

      Hi Brian - depending on the tablet. Mine actually has the option to connect via Bluetooth. With that said, I don't think this would make a good portable option.

    Guys, I have office 365 and its version of onenote already and it sucks just as he said, where do i get to download the onenote 2016 version. PLEASE SHARE THE LINK, preferably only yhe onenote standalone 2016 version so i wont load my laptop with other microsoft products i already have... went thru some websites, none were fruitful. I wont relly mind end of support of onenote 2016 coz imma just use it for class notes. I hope its only for security update purposes and not that my notes will be deleted and all right?
