After all, there are always some hidden more peaceful places to chill or the back streets to walk more freely. The night shots are always special, so the stroll along the river while enjoying the lighted Sky Tree in the background. After yummy ramen in the filming convenient restaurant the Don Quihote snack plus special sake were only interesting in the end, but it's "shagonai"!! SLURPING NOODLES .. There's actually science on the reason for slurping. Firstly, the slurp gets the most broth possible clinging to the noodles from bowl to mouth. Secondly, and maybe more importantly, air is drawn into the mouth and consequently up into your nasal area greatly increasing the taste sensors therefore enjoying the broth flavours even more. Got caught totally off guard with the small Kleiner Feigling bottles!! We used to drink so many of them when we were kids in the small town I was from in Denmark!
Hahah we were there last Thursday and I'm so tired, we walk from Asakusa to Ueno Park and took 35 minutes. So enjoyable and burned alot of calories. Now we're back here in PH sufferring 45 degrees Celsius

This stay away from japan during golden week is really exaggerated lmao... Ive been there for the past week and it was fine... I was in tokyo and went to Disneyland with the kids.... It was barren... Only 1 ride was over 60 min wait in each Disneyland and only a few rides with more than 30 mins wait... I think it's a great time to go... Lots of shops and restaurants even had a golden week promotion. Also weather was great... I was in shorts and a shirt and felt great.
I've always ate ramen silently even in Japan, it's something I couldn't do even if I wanted to because is considered bad manner in Italy, like it's bad manner in Japan to blow your nose in public

Sugamo Jizo-dori shopping street has a market day on the 4th, 14th & 24th of every month, it's a REAL locals market mostly off the tourist-map radar ... Sugamo is also the best area to stay in Tokyo and it's on the Yamanote Loop Line. Japan trip #10 for me next week.
