A good friend of mines died a senseless death due to gun violence in the late 90’s. It was mistaken identity and he pleaded for his life before getting shot. Going to the hospital seeing his mother and family, all the people from my neighborhood screaming and crying was something I’ll never forget. Me and all my friends were hanging out when we got the news together that he’s passed and I had never seen grown men break down and cry like that. We were all just speechless for days, nobody wanted to talk and till this very day nobody talks about it. I’ve been around a lot of death growing up but that one really set the wheel in motion for me because I hung out with him a lot and if it could happen to him then any one of us were open season. I got a promotion at work, Met a girl and never looked back I visit and ride around to see people for a few days but the sooner I get there the sooner I can’t wait to leave the city. My kids always want to go visit where I’m from and see my old neighborhood but they don’t understand the pain and trauma that comes with revisiting these places. Lock this dude up and throw the key away! He has no remorse for the pain and trauma he’s caused to so many people that loved that kid.

@@edg456 most of these DAs wouldn't have nearly the record they do if not for plea bargains. My county has a 98 percent conviction rate, cause everyone cops out. There is no way they could achieve that if they had trials. By excessively cracking the hell out of a few folks with easy cases now and then, they can scare many people into copping out and taking a plea. It's no secret that if everyone demanded their right to a trial, most jurisdictions would collapse under the strain (understaffed, resources, time, jury pool, etc). @@Smoothk410 he killed him... The writer up for "murder" is a technical one. He beat the MURDER because technically he wasn't guilty. It's just how the law is written. There's no getting what I mean because what I'm saying is all fact. Ninjas be too emotional with no logic. He should've been charged differently, and he would've never walked on any jury. The jurors are given the exact definition, and if the killing didn't fit, it isn't murder. Murder is an intentional/premeditated thing... Learn the law first, my guy. Yeah, he should've left that situation alone, but nobody can say he set out that night with the intent to kill Martin, which would've made it murder. Nobody can say he planned on killing anyone that might, which also would've made it murder. Everything else is unlawful killing, killing, manslaughter, etc. U can cause the death of someone without being tried for murder. It was too rushed because of the emotional outpour from the publack, and it's why the case was foiled. Cases that never came across ur screen have had similar outcomes, so I'm very sure in what I'm saying. I knew back when it happened, and Zimmerman was charged with the M that he wouldn't be found guilty. Any lawyer worth their salt is gonna go into court and build their case around the facts of the definition of murder.

Be REAL, bro! When was the last time you've seen ppl actually stay in for the duration of their sentencing?
Maybe where you're at, but not in Cali. Ppl get sentenced 20, 30, life and later out after 10, 15 years on appeal.
Why? Because some silly court decided such and such should NOT have been presented to the jury. Or, the
judge gave/didn't give this "instructions/statement" to the jury before deliberation. 3 or 4 times a month some
convict gets released earlier or their sentence reduced. It's absolutely shocking!

He prolly figured he’d take his chances at getting the murder charge dropped to a Man1 … but in the worst case scenario, he’s looking at an extra 10 on top of what he agreed to take….best case (for him) is a lesser charge… or some sorta technicality in the form of prosecutorial misconduct…. Really Big risk, but a much Bigger reward!…

If he pleads guitly he takes all the blame and not snitching and gets 30yrs. If you go to trail you have to tell your story and snitch and probably will get life without parole @Sniperboy5551

@mewtwomotherfuka you obviously not too familiar with how plea deals work. Those plea deals often come with stipulations that u have to testify on others. Life is better than 30yrs as a known snitch

I ain't no legal expert, but I don't think it is a good sign for the big, bad, tough gang member when the district attorney looks forward to presenting her case at the trial that no one expected and is SMILING on camera! 😁

30 years, life? He probably thinking what’s the difference. Roll the dice, he may get a great lawyer and get off with it. I’m not sure I’d be ready to accept a plea of 30 years….unless it was in my home country England where you will do half, maybe even out in 12-13 with good behavior and showing you have changed. But America , 30 is 30. Yeh il roll the dice in a trial for sure.

No way take that to trial he should of took tht 30 and ran with it.half tht is 15yr good behavior which he wouldn't of got but say cut 4yr good behavior out in 10yrs take tht to trial gwt a life sentence with possibility of parole no way I'd take tht chance cause your gana lose

Most of you people don't have a clue how the justice system in the United States actually works.
I'm not by any means excusing what he did, let's be clear on that.
Pleading guilty and accepting a plea deal means game over! You lose your right to a jury trial of your peers. I'm not saying he deserves it, but he may literally get a jury of his peers that lets him off.
Even if he's found guilty and given the longest sentence, he still has many appeals. 30 years to most is a life sentence or should I say a death sentence!
He may be a gang banger, but he's not a dumb one. 👍👎
