Imma teach yall binary in 2 mins
So basiaclly it works in powers of 2, meaning that for every digit in binary, starting from the right going to the left, you take the pervious number and square it to get the next digit. This means it starts as a value of one, then the next digit has a value of 2, and the next 4, thwn 16, 32, 64 and so on. 8-bit binary means that there are 8 digits in the number. So that means in 8-bit binary the last digit has a value of 256. Then you take all the numbers in the byte(multiple of bits)
So imagine you take the binary number 0010 1011. Starting from the right, the first digit is a 1, meaning it has a value of 1. The next one is a 1, so that means it has a value of 2 (3 in total). The next is a 0, so you skip that placement. Then theres a 1, so that digit has a value of 16 (19 in total). Then the next byte starts with a 0, so skip. Then its a 1, which has a value of 64. You still add that to the total, so in total the binary number 0010 1011 has a value of 83.
