Sis White, was not the founder if the SDA church. She was given visions that confirmed GOD's truth. This SDA movement is in Bible prophesy; Rev 10:10. The disappointment that was experienced was foretold. They would have understood GOD leading them to focus on the heavenly sanctuary, and all of the commandments if they had studied line upon line from the beginning. Sis White was the messenger of the LORD to guide the fledgling church and this last day church to present truth, especially the three Angels messages in Rev 14 :6-10.
Some of you would do well to read just one of her books. This frail young girl was called on by God to magnify His Word, the Holy Bible. What a blessing her life and writing has been and continues to be to this day to people around the world.
if you love god, then you keep his commandments, which include holding the sabbath. If the holy spirit led you to that truth and still reject it, then that's a sign that you don't really love god. Revelations mentions the keeping of God's commandments multiple times as a signature of His people in the endtime. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus" (Rev 14:12). "Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring--those who keep God's commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus" (Rev 12:17). Actually, Christians have been doing services on Sunday long before there was even a Roman Catholic Church. Constantine did not change what Christians were already doing.

The word iniquity here is actually the Greek word "anomia" which means "without law" or "lawlessness." Notice that these people are Christians. They say, "Lord, Lord...we did in your name." He says depart from me. I never knew you...lawless." True repentence and love for God leads to true reflection of His character. His law is holy, just, and good...like Him.
@OL8Twho I agree, what people seem to miss is that Ellen White's teaching are not the base of the SDA beliefs, her writings provide clarity for BIBLE truths and a guide to everyday living. We as christians have a right to test the writings of a prophet based on what the bible teaches and I have done so with her work many times. I am a bible SDA but I see no harm in living according to her teachings, it makes me no less of a christian, Jesus is my prize and if I love God I must love His Law:)!
Love covers a multitude of sin, the first Commandment. If we can just do this one everthing else will fall into place. Your right, without the blood of Christ we are lost. But His blood is all about love, and makes us go and sin no more .. @EricSaavy Actually the gospel went to the gentiles after the stoning of Stephen (Acts 8:4). But anyway people were relieved from Jewish obligations not from the 10 commandments. You're right, no one can keep the commandments through own will, only Jesus can give you that power. You have to develop a CHARACTER that admits, that you are sinful to the bone and can nothing do about, and that only Jesus can do that. That old person has to die every day (1.Kor15,31). Really sinnning is, when you KNOW the truth and continue sinning, thats against the holy spirit. We are saved by the faith in Jesus Christ. Good explanation for that to be found in Romans7,14-25 and also Rom.8

Please read that again. Yes it was the first day of the week, but when in biblical times did a new day begin? It was at sunset. They came together and he preached until midnight of the first day. That is Saturday night. They were together the whole Sabbath into the night of the first day. He left the following morning, that is Sunday morning. So he did not keep Sunday as a Sabbath. Please study this and do not just accept what people tell you.
@followthetruth777 Please explain the 3 times the "Door of Mercy" was shut and opened to Seventh Day Adventist ONLY if they agreed with her endorsement of the "Investigative Judgment" theory. Can this be taught and understood by the New Testament? Did St. Paul write of a supposed Investigative Judgment? He did not. He taught that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.
Please study this more, you are just repeating what other EG White haters told you. The investigative judgement is every easy to understand. It is just the collecting of evidence and evaluation of that evidence for the court case before the judgement can be pronounced. It is not complicated. When Jesus returns he will not then gather evidence or then only decide who is guilty. The judgement has already been decided before His return.

She also used it to describe the origin of poisonous plants etc. in the biological world: Satan planted these seeds when he tempted Adam. If you would spend the time you spend entertaining this spirit of contrariness, confrontation and judgment on the Good News of the Gospel, you would be able to experience the joy and peace of the Lord, together with your brothers and sisters in Christ the world over. Condemning other denominations will not bring you peace but only a puffed up arrogance of self-righteousness and intellectual superiority. When this arises in anyone's heart, the living Gospel fades into mere facts and dates.

Her writings speak for themselves. The details and methodology on how they came about is not as important as their actual content, which so happen to not contain anything one could consider heretical. I notice that you people never address the actual content of her major works, choosing instead to fall back on obscure and early writings taken out of context. As any human being, she was not perfect. Even the Apostles made mistakes. Nobody ever claimed she's God.

It is a teaching anti 'One true Holy catholic and Apostolic faith'. It is a teaching that is simply not Christian. Adventism is a semi-pelagian/ works righteousness religion. God justifies the ungodly freely in Christ for all whom the Spirit calls and enlightens by the Gospel. Grace is poured out freely in your baptism.

In John 8, Jesus was confronted with the woman caught in the act of adultery. He convicted the woman’s accusers of thier own sin (John 8:7-9). He did not condemn the adulteress, but told her to “sin no more” (John 8:10-11). Sin is the transgression of the law (1John 3:4). Did the Apostle Mathew plagiarize from the Apostle Mark? Just because her writings may be similar to the writings of others does not make it plagiarism. You should take Ellen White's writing and view it all as a whole and then you will realize what a great blessing her books are to the Christian.

If any person claiming to be a Christian can read Ellen White's book "Steps to Christ" and call it darkness and deceit, such a person can simply never be considered a Christian. @awesomenanie The Lord wishes everyone to worship Everyday. The 1st Day is the Lord's Day, which in Genesis 1, God made it a day of LIGHT and separated the light from the Darkness. Just as the Jews, who were commanded the Sabbath, would be separated from their darkness into the Light of Jesus Christ by His Resurrection on the 1st day of the week. Indeed, LET THERE BE LIGHT. @hisrobeormine I have read Ellen White writtings and have confirmed what she has writtien said. Mark Martin's claims are true. Mark Martin is not my Pastor and I do not attend his church. I do however have SDA's that I know who have tried to tell me that I will recieve that mark of the beast for going to church on Sunday according to Ellen White's writtings. Rev 13 says different. There is nothing in the bible that says that. I would read roman 14:5

What value does mentioning these people's personal views have if those views are not reflected in Ellen White's books on Christian Doctrine and Bible commentary, nor are they reflected in official church teachings? Christ's divinity and the Trinity are not denied by the Seventh Day Adventist church, so your historical snippets have no actual relevance.

What about soul-sleep? That's not biblical. In fact Jesus himself described in graphic detail the reality of eternal torment in Hell where the fire is never quenched and the worm does not die. Now contrary to the Bible, Ellen White teaches the unbiblical doctrine of soul-sleep, which claims that there is no such place as Hell. So answer me this: WHO WAS WRONG? JESUS CHRIST?? Oh great so we should be able to calculate exactly how old the world is to the day!? Last i checked, scholars can't even agree on exactly how many years old our earth is let alone the exact day! The general concensus is tho that Genesis 1 happened before 4000 B.C. Now we are are already in 2012 A.D. The bible also refers to 6 millenniums and the 7th millenium being the Sabbath millenium when God's righteous join Him in Heaven for 1000 years. In this case, the Bible's prophesy is proven wrong.

That is Saturday night. They were together the whole Sabbath into the night of the first day. He left the following morning, that is Sunday morning. So he did not keep Sunday as a Sabbath.

The investigative judgement is every easy to understand. It is just the collecting of evidence and evaluation of that evidence for the court case before the judgement can be pronounced. It is not complicated. When Jesus returns he will not then gather evidence or then only decide who is guilty. The judgement has already been decided before His return.

No! He did not. He said Go, and sin no more. (Jn 8:11). What is repentance? There are consequences to living sinfully.

What about soul-sleep? That's not biblical. In fact Jesus himself described in graphic detail the reality of eternal torment in Hell where the fire is never quenched and the worm does not die.
Now contrary to the Bible, Ellen White teaches the unbiblical doctrine of soul-sleep, which claims that there is no such place as Hell. So answer me this:
WHO WAS WRONG? JESUS CHRIST?? OR ELLEN WHITE???
When tested against the Bible, she is indeed proven as a false-prophetess.

The general concensus is tho that Genesis 1 happened before 4000 B.C. Now we are are already in 2012 A.D. The bible also refers to 6 millenniums and the 7th millenium being the Sabbath millenium when God's righteous join Him in Heaven for 1000 years. In this case, the Bible's prophesy is proven wrong.

ANYONE who tries "in the name" of God to replenish, replace, supplant, or add to the Bible is nomore than a charlatan, deceiver, liar and needs to be exposed as such. God needs no help and more with his Word.
