Ally McBeal is an American legal comedy drama television series, originally aired on Fox from September 8, 1997, to May 20, 2002. Created by David E. Kelley, the series stars Calista Flockhart in the title role as a lawyer working in the Boston law firm Cage and Fish, with other lawyers whose lives and loves are eccentric, humorous, and dramatic. The series received critical acclaim in its early seasons, winning the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy in 1998 and 1999, and also winning the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1999.

Great scene from "Being There" of Season 1, when Ally discovers that Georgia has tested positive for being pregnant, and tries to suppress her jealousy by adopting a theme song to stay positive about the situation. She imagines dancing to the tune of "Wedding Bell Blues" with a chorus line of secretaries, when Billy interrupts her in the uni-sex bathroom. Ally tells him she's happy for him, but wishes that she would be married first, maybe have kids first, or just die first. Tragically,Billy would be the one to die first.
