Story: It was a bright, sunny Saturday morning, and my siblings, Sara, Ahmed, and I were super excited. Our favorite uncle, Uncle Karim, was taking us to the zoo! We had been waiting for this day all week.
When Uncle Karim’s car arrived, we raced out the door, shouting, “He’s here!” Uncle Karim, with his usual baseball cap and camera, smiled and asked, “Ready to see some animals?”
“You bet!” we shouted and jumped into the car. During the drive, we talked about the animals we wanted to see: lions, elephants, giraffes, and the new pandas.
At the zoo entrance, we quickly got our tickets. Sara, the planner, held the map and led the way. Our first stop was the lion’s den. The lion looked so majestic, and we stood in awe.
Next, we saw the elephants. Uncle Karim lifted Ahmed so he could see better. One elephant was splashing water, making us all laugh. Sara noticed how gracefully they moved.
At the giraffe exhibit, Uncle Karim gave us lettuce to feed them. The giraffes gently took the food from our hands with their long tongues. It was amazing!
Finally, we visited the panda exhibit. We watched a panda munching on bamboo. Uncle Karim took pictures while we admired the panda’s cute, clumsy movements.
After seeing all the animals, we rested near the zoo’s café. We shared a giant pretzel and lemonade, talking about our favorite animals. Sara loved the elephants, Ahmed liked feeding the giraffes, and I loved the pandas.
Before leaving, we visited the souvenir shop. Uncle Karim bought each of us a stuffed animal: I got a panda, Sara an elephant, and Ahmed a lion. On the drive home, we hugged our new toys, smiling from ear to ear. The day was perfect, filled with fun and unforgettable memories with Uncle Karim and each other.
That night, as I lay in bed, I dreamed of the wonderful animals we saw and the fun we had together. It was a special day with my family.
