  • In the previous Vlog I showed you how we reached Walong in the late evening via Tezu Tohangam- Lohit View Point- Salangam- Tiding- Khupa-Hayuliang and Chukunty.
After spending the night at Walong IB - I woke up early the next morning and went out for a walk.
The view of the sun rising through the clouds from Walong IB was stunning. In India, the sun spreads its first rays every morning in Arunachal Pradesh.
The view of the Lohit River, Advanced Landing Ground of Walong could be seen be seen clearly from the Walong IB looked very beautiful. There was a slight cold but I was enjoying the moment.
After breakfast- we decided that we would go to Kaho instead of Kibithu. Kaho is called the First Village of India. Though commonly people call it Last Village.
After leaving Walong IB, we reached Walong Town. Here we wanted to sip tea but unfortunately all the shops were still closed.
Walong- Walong is a small town situated on the banks of Lohit river. This town is known for the India-China war of 1962. There is also a Cantonment of the Indian Army in Walong. LAC i.e. Line of Actual Control is just 35 kilometers away from the town.
From here we moved ahead and reached Walong War Memorial which is at a short distance from Walong town. It is on the left side of the road.
We stopped here for some time. To be honest, seeing the names of the Martyred soldiers inscribed in the Memorial, I felt a little upset.
We salute to those who sacrificed their lives to protect the nation. If you visit Anjaw- don't forget to visit Walong War Memorial. It is just a short distance from Walong Town. After spending some time here, we resumed our journey.
We continued our journey further, and after covering a distance of about 7 kilometers from Walong War Memorial, we reached an amazing place where got to see such a sight which left us mesmerized. The name of this place is- Naamti Valley.
This is the place where the Indian Army bravely faced and fought the Chinese attack in the 1962 War. If you observed carefully, many bunkers are still visible in this valley. A small War Memorial has also been built at Namti in honor of the sacrifice of the brave Indian soldiers.
Leaving these beautiful views behind - we moved ahead.
In the middle of the journey we stooped our vehicle and enquired a stranger for direction to Kaho. A few minutes later- we reached Karoti.
    Karoti - is a Tri-junction.
One needs to take the left side of this tri-junction to go to Kibithu, and to reach Kaho one should turn the right side of the junction. We took the right direction.
After covering some distance from Karoti, we again saw such an stunning sight! Its image is still in my mind.
Now we reached to a place which was covered by beautiful pine trees and a Bridge over Lohit River to reach Kaho.
I don't know the exact name of this place but its beauty was incredible and amazing. Here, we thought of stopping for some time before continuing the journey to Kaho.
