Paul K. I wouldn’t put him there, because Rice’s stats and longevity are significantly better than moss’s. 22,000 yards compared to 15,000 yards, and over 1,000 yards at 40 is just too great. Moss was a better athlete no doubt, but Rice’s accolades are too great.

He really doesn’t though. His impact was negligible and he was never a top 3 WR at any point during his league tenure. That said, this list has a TERRIBLE bias for guys who are still in the league of at least played very recently. Don Hudson is the guy whose absense makes his list fraudulent. Hudson has more yards and TD reaceptions than entire teams when he was revolutionizing the position and the passing game. Also Raymond Berry probably deserves a place too. Again he’s from before the net and Facebook and iwatches too, but before Rice came on the scene the argument for best WR ever started and ended with Raymond Berry or Steve Largeant.

Steve Largent is definitely top five. He was the most dominant receiver of his era and up to that point all time. Until jerry came along he was the greatest. He was the all time leader in yards receptions and touchdowns when he retired, while having Jim Zorn as his best QB. Imo he’s the second greatest route runner ever behind jerry and has a case for best hands of all time.
