- This major work brings together two of today's pre-eminent dance talents, AKRAM KHAN and SYLVIE GUILLEM, as they explore the dynamics and language of two great classical dance forms, kathak and ballet.
"I have spent my life studying and performing kathak. It is the source of my creative process. Working with Sylvie Guillem is an exciting new challenge, giving me the opportunity to explore another classical dance language with one of its greatest exponents, and as a result unearth the things that are most often lost between the classical and modern world. " AKRAM KHAN
Sacred Monsters also features additional choreography by GAURI SHARMA TRIPATHI and LIN HWAI-MIN , Artistic Director of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre in Taiwan, and live music specially created by PHILIP SHEPPARD.
Recorded live at Sadler's Wells Theatre, London
Available now on DVD.

Confieso que mi primer sueño fue el llegar a ser bailarina.... Sylvie Guillem sería mi ideal de bailarina... su originalidad no tiene límites.
I am truly astonished by those perfectly coordinated movements.
One word: abs.
i think a lot of people havent realised the core strength of Sylvie Guillem
Trop court ! encore ! Quelle harmonie ! Quelle fluidité ! C'est beau.
I was so sad that they didn’t take me with them nor kill me but leave me behind, after the stage.. l couldn’t be like a human at least for a week, daydreaming like a living dead sitting on a chair. That was awesome.
The first and the last time that I’ve behaved like can’t speak on the way back home, shut the door of my room, and burst into crying.
maravillosos...!
Maravilloso ...
Me ha encantado la coreografía y la misica es sensacional.
Sin técnica clásica, no es posible lo tan gran bellas formas.
Un saludo,
Elsa.

Not to be missed. "Sacred Monsters" with Sylvie Guillem and Akram Khan will be in Paris for 3 performances at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées on June 28th, 29th and 30th 2013. A magical piece of work reuniting two unique artists.
absolutely amazing: from 0:57!!!
Such a wonderful, magical, full of life and enthousiam show. By the way, if you are in Athens around Christmas you have a rare chance to see both "Sacred Monsters" (December 19th to December 22nd) with Sylvie and A. Khan as well as "Marguerite et Armand" with Sylvie and Massimo Murru (December 25th to December 30th) at Megaron Mousikis (Megaron Concert Hall Athens).

thanks!
Do you know the titale of the first song?
Монстры -- с 0:57.
Song??
Amazing technical skills that leave me cold. I'd rather see spontaneous and passionate dancing.
dit ce corps de l'art mot ni....
I wouldn't put those to dance together... :) She's totally superior!
Julia You don't get it. They brake free from their indoctrination and worked together out of FREE WILL. When are you gonna escape YOUR PRISON??????!
Linda Bostoen seriously chill lady.
@@lindabostoen88 I agree. She's completely missing the point.
Too strange...
He’s not that creative or impressive. Only people who have poor knowledge of contemporary dance think he is.
Yeah cause Sylvie Guillem has poor knowledge of contemporary dance.
