Nice starter demo. When I hit send the toolpath disappears and it mills blind. The tool does move around the screen but it's not showing the material removal animation like yours. Am I missing anything?

Hello, i wanna know about the depth control of engrave, is it from the candle software?, or the design itself??
Newbie just got my machine... in Candle how do I know how deep the engraving will be? I'm doing a test run but don't know if my test material is thick enough because I don't know how deep the test engraving is...? Also, can you adjust the depth of engraving or any sizing in Candle or does all the sizing need to be set when the gcode is made in another app and can't be adjusted in candle?
Can you please help me? My cnc barely moves at all when jogging or doing a job. What causes it?
I have a 3018 from VEVOR, I have followed the steps up to 2min in but when I click the "idle" button nothing happens and the button doesn't seem to work. ???
What is the difference between setting the z zero using manual adjustments and a piece of paper versus using the z probe? Are they doing the same thing or do I need to do both?

my machine came totally reversed. I had to change one cable but up and down is still reversed, left and right as well and I think when I click the home button it is to the right instead left.

I have problem with Z axis. I use candle and when i press homing Z axis is moving up and up and dont stop
I have problem with mine. Every time I try to cut the Z axis goes up too much and clicks the limit switch.
Nice video FoxAlien. My machine is engraving backwards, I adjusted $3 and now it is engraving backwards and upside down. I'll have to try changing $3 code again when no one is sleeping in the house. Is there something else that might be wrong with my machine?

@@foxalien_official I fixed the orientation by doing a $3=2 and now it engraves properly.
nice video. please tell me what does the "Z-Probe" button do? When I hit this button the Z axis moves and I can't stop it till it reaches the end of the spindle and the alarm comes on. Thanks

@@user-zt6kv2km4d i've found you have to install hard limits. Otherwise you have to set the machine to zero point, close candle and then re-open. It will be your zero

I know this was posted some time back….I cannot get any version of Candle to function on a HP laptopthe grbl Laser, Control both work OK. Candle, new Acer Laptop, only apps are default with a new Win10.
Candle will not function…checked the settings file, com3. The laptop USB in use showed com3. Jog buttons and spindle did not work! Changed settings to com4, opened Candle checked connect…com4 showed.
The spindle could be started…but jog buttons..dead, no alarm or other indication showed, after connect unlocked the panel buttons changed from..”greyed” not connected to “normal higher contrast buttons.
Tried four different USB cables.none helped…still cannot use the jog buttons.
Any suggestions, help, advice would be appreciated. To tho who will ask….if grblControl is OK ..just use that!
Two reasons. I want to know if its me, the two laptops etc. I like the interface look etc of Candle.
I tried the forked 2.1, 2.2, 2.3. None worked!

Thanks for your video. Sadly, it does not touch the problem I have: the machine is installed; connected. I have files in its folder CANDLE, except for the CH340-Driver.exe file. I can't find in the web anyplace to download the goddamned file at all!!! Can you help, please, before I eat this machine!!!! Thanks a million. 🤢
Whenever I run candle I always get errors. It will skip lines of g-code once in a while. I'm working on trying to figure out why this happens. Also even when I set it to inches the X,Y, and Z on the left side show mm.

My spindle doesn't go back to zero point after finishing the engraving. And idea on how to solve this ??

It was your gcode's problem. You need to set the gcode to back to the zero point.
What is the correct " com" setting?
4 but it depends on what your usb port is iirc. It's pretty easy to figure out, you just need to go to device manager and open the settings for the cnc machine and which port it is should be listed under one of those tabs
How do I adjust the size of my image?
you need to adjust the size in the design software, such as the Easel.

initial instructions too fast and lack explanation. Too much time spent watching an operation. Not what I need to get started. I have struggled to get the motor and axis tests done. Now What?
I have had the machine for over a month. I have not had any luck with this candle program. I continue to get error messages. So far this thing is a piece of junk.
