Environmental engineering student here, There is still leeching that occurs even if it is said to be "safe". LDPE (the polyethylene or plastic) in it's solid form is completely safe, but can be toxic if inhaled or absorbed as a vapor or liquid. so honestly I would steer clear of boil any plastic food packages loves!

This is going to sound so... "I was born in the wrong generation" lmao, speaking as a gen z, but I actually do kind of get what Lucas is saying about gen z wanting to be like millennials and stuff. Obviously, there's plenty of gen z stuff that I actually really like and consider extremely influential to my childhood, but I think this sort of feeling comes from the fact that a lot of gen z watches CZcams, and most CZcamsrs are millennials right now. So, like, we want to relate, because both generations are considered "internet generations", but there is sort of a cultural gap between us, still. Millennials in content creation means that they're the ones who are setting certain trends. In addition to that, it could be that a portion of gen z prefers the specific styles that were more present in media made for millennials than those in current day media.
I will say that Lucas is sort of wrong about Disney Channel lol. It's complicated. HSM, Hannah Montana, and iCarly are all things that were sort of released during the overlap. I was born in 2003, and even though I wasn't allowed to watch that stuff, I remember merch of those shows being EVERYWHERE in elementary school. In fact, one of my friends even had an iCarly themed birthday party and the goodie bags just had iCarly merch in them. And the thank-you cards she sent out were Hannah Montana themed. So you could say that, because nostalgia is hugely influential in today's pop culture, early gen z-ers having that overlap with late millennials is why there is a desire for more relatability, because we already have that foundation.
Even though nothing Disney Channel has ever put out in the 2010s has ever reached the levels of fame as HSM or Hannah Montana, it is worth noting that the decreasing popularity of cable TV plays a huge part in that. I still watch Disney Channel, so I can tell you that their most popular movie franchises since then have without a doubt been Descendants and ZOMBIES (which is maybe more gen alpha than gen z). Both of these series received 3 installments and animated series (although they were clearly investing more in Descendants in that department) and have released multiple dolls and merchandise. Also, more Descendants media is confirmed to be on the way, so I do think it is even more popular than ZOMBIES. I would even go so far as to say that Descendants potentially did more to kickstart Dove Cameron's career than Liv and Maddie did.
I would also say that Teen Beach Movie is the Camp Rock of the 2010s. Just like Camp Rock isn't as big as HSM, Teen Beach Movie isn't as big as Descendants (and the sequel came out the same year as the first Descendants movie), but it was still decently influential to pop culture. People are still talking about it, which is definitely partially because it was so ambitious, and partially because everyone was so disappointed by the sequel's ending. Also like Camp Rock, Teen Beach only had 2 movies.
Just like anything made by Disney Channel, these things receive their fair share of criticism, but they are still considered to be enjoyable pieces of media, especially Descendants and Teen Beach.
Something worth noting is that all of these newer properties have some fantasy element to them, which is interesting compared to the more grounded stories of HSM and Camp Rock. Descendants is about the children of Disney villains, ZOMBIES is basically the tamest version of Twilight, and Teen Beach Movie is about surfer teens that get stuck in a 60s beach movie musical. I think that this is a result of the market becoming more competitive as cable television becomes more and more irrelevant. It's hard to imagine a simple realistic story about high school life becoming so successful and marketable with today's generation. Teen Beach Movie is about the closest it gets to that.
Standalone DCOMs that are still relevant in nostalgic discussions are Lemonade Mouth and Let It Shine. Both are considered by many to be unironically good movies with banger soundtracks. People get especially annoyed that Lemonade Mouth never got a sequel. These movies are on the earlier side of the 2010s though, so they are pretty grounded. In terms of the actual content, I'd say that Lemonade Mouth is sort of the closest thing the 2010s have to Camp Rock.
As for series, I think that Andi Mack (Disney Channel US's first soap opera) was hugely influential. Girl Meets World and Liv and Maddie also were, but there is definitely a lot of hate directed at Girl Meets World these days, now that people are realizing how bad the writing was when it tried to cover serious issues. Jessie is one of those overlap series, and it still lives on in spirit in the form of Bunk'd, which was originally a summer camp-themed spinoff of Jessie, but evolved into its own franchise at some point and is still releasing new episodes. Austin and Ally was basically our Hannah Montana, but it definitely didn't have quite the same amount of popularity. Disney TVA really made its mark on the 2010s with the rest of Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and other shows that are still the topic of many a twitter discussion today. The decade closed out with Amphibia, which is a favorite among the online Disney animation fandom.
For gen alpha, Disney has been catering to more dramatic tastes with their newer, very serious series, Secrets of Sulphur Springs. The sitcom lineup includes shows like Villains of Valley View (which is the first show starring non-middle schoolers that they've made in a while, and tonally it's along the lines of KC Undercover) and Raven's Home (in addition to Bunk'd), but the focus seems to be more on animated series right now than anything else. Newer cartoons include The Owl House (which is sadly wrapping up soon), Big City Greens, The Ghost and Molly McGee, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, and Kiff. Disney also has the distribution rights to Miraculous Ladybug in the US, and trust me, they've been milking that as much as they can, because it's one of the most popular cartoons internationally right now.
So yeah, nothing made for gen z on cable really became massively popular in the same way that HSM and Hannah Montana did. There were no theatrical releases or concert tours or anything like that. BUT, there were some standout things that were about as popular as they could get in the altered market of a different time period. Internet culture defines our generation way more, and it does the same for gen alpha. I honestly think that if anything gets really big in the future, it won't be from cable. That doesn't mean that newer gens don't have anything "iconic" (honestly almost all this stuff has around the same level of quality lol, just different styles and different levels of memorability), it's just that it works very differently. Somehow Henry Danger has managed to be a multi-media franchise for Nickelodeon.
The last person I can think of that really made it big by millennial standards is JoJo Siwa, but that was really a mix of perfect conditions. She had to be multi-talented, make CZcams and TV content, and then there was the whole marketability aspect of the bows. That level of fame gets harder and harder to replicate as internet culture continues to develop and kids continue to have full access to the internet at an early age.
