ZetaView® - Electrophoretic Motion Tracking (EMT) / Zeta potential measurement

We describe the principle of Electrophoretic Motion Tracking (EMT) / zeta potential measurement from the Smoluchowsky theory and use the example of extracellular vesicles to show how these measurements are performed by Particle Metrix ZetaView® instruments. We show which settings are important and how they are to be carried out step by step. Zeta potential measurements in solutions with low and high conductivity are equally feasible thanks to a sophisticated control of the applied electrical field.
