Honestly, I'm terrified of bringing friends who are new to WoW into dungeons because I don't want someone to be booted from the group or be insulted because they just don't know something. I've seen both of these things happen recently. One group who were part of a guild called "Mean Girls" just said that was their thing, they're mean and they'll be nice because I've said this person is new but if I hadn't spoken up, they would've continued to bully and insult my friend, who is new to the game and just hasn't had a chance to learn. Follower dungeons would give those newer players space to learn before actually doing content with strangers. I mean I'll probably also use follower dungeons to learn the mechanics before playing with strangers. I can't see any issues with the feature tbh and if people are concerned about the social aspect of an MMO being lost, maybe they'll try being more welcoming when playing with strangers so that that doesn't happen?

Well said! Safe spaces to learn and digest content can only be good for the game and the players that will utilize this 💙

I think it is a good addition, ff14 has their trust system, which is basically the same. It works well there and hasn't impacted the social impact of the game, I personally use it for running content on a class I am unfamiliar with, as to not burden other players with it till I figure it out. Sometimes it is also fast for leveling, especially as a DPS, you do not have to wait on a que.

I personally can't wait for this feature, the social pressure of running with people and not knowing a dungeon is what has prevented me from running many dungeons this expansion as my time has become limited lately.

It's going to be really good for this! Not everyone wants to do content with other people and this at least gives a chance to experience the dungeon for the first time without being pressured or rushed.

Wow enabling anti-social behavior, think about how weak mentally you have to be to avoid even social interactions in a video game. Kick the chair, youre not worthy

@@Spellchecc1OO Yeah... imagine not wanting to group with someone like yourself 👀

@@unamithil the average wow player is not known for their empathy. honestly I rank wows negative player interaction only second to something like LoL. you have a playerbase groomed to see their fellow players not as boons but as obstacles to their enjoyment. The real reason most are against it is because if players can go into dungeons and play them without other people, they lose their power to be arbiters of said content. how can they vote kick the baddies to prevent them from gearing up if they are not present to vote kick them? same reason things like personal loot became a scapegoat, again their power to prevent players from gearing was removed.

I'm so excited for follower dungeons! Listen. I really like playing in groups. But, in this particular game I feel very intimidated by other people. Mainly people just being rude. When I'm just logging on and trying to have some fun. And also I'm excited because I may not know what to do in the dungeon. This at least gives me a chance to figure out what the heck comes supposed to do first. I won't feel as panicky and I will have more fun.

Excited for many of the same reasons! I think this feature will absolutely shine in a new expansion.

My initial reaction - most players in pugs play like NPC's, this won't be a big difference.

this feature would be fine if it actually worked properly

What's not working for you? I did notice the tank sometimes pulls mobs they don't need to, and it can be better to take charge of pulls yourself. I imagine also they will improve this AI more and more over time.

Did it in FF14 and it's not a good thing what so ever
