- See a review of the Virgin Atlantic Economy Delight service in this video of flight VS155 from London Heathrow to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. The flight was on 14 July 2022 on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft registration G-VWHO. Economy Delight is Virgin’s extra legroom offer in the economy cabin. The onboard service is identical to Economy Classic and Economy Light, but the seat features a 34” pitch compared to the standard 31” pitch.

Thanks for the review. I am flying Virgin Economy Delight for the first time to Vegas in a few weeks. We have the front row seats as you go into the economy delight section (B & C)....hope that little extra legroom in ED makes it a little more comfortable 😊

Thanks for the informative video. At 6ft 4in tall it's nice to see there's an option between economy and premium for taller people. On another note, I do wish airlines would try and reduce the plastic wrapping on food, or at least use biodegradable options. They could have all the scones in a sealed container and give them out as they serve people as a simple solution.
Nice to have a review from the back of the bus, your a better man than me, as a 14stone rugby player I would struggle I fear. Both my flights to LAS on the last 8 weeks have involved offloads at the gate and warnings about drink etc, however in UC the service was normal but I think I would have preferred your meals which is not good for UC. Really enjoyed the video. Now I understand the “Delight” bit about Economy although I’m old enough to recall when 34inch was standard on say Air New Zealand. The meal looked disappointing compared to what I had expected from Virgin

Hi, did you check in at the premium desk as economy delight? Avoiding the que ?
Iam booking 2023 and we only have 330 option but the 350 looks so much upgraded.
If you are using a connecting flight which needs baggage check in does it help to have economy delight as I read you get priority check in. Does this help to save time vs using economy check in desk?
Another great video. Will be taking the same flight (albeit standard economy) in November so looking forward to the experience. Other than the extra leg room, would you say there is much of a difference between standard economy and economy delight? Also, I've heard getting through immigration in Las Vegas can still be a long wait, is this still the case? Thanks - Alan
Thanks. The only difference was the 3" extra leg room and priority boarding. The onboard service was the same.
We arrived behind a KLM flight so there was a little queue at immigration. For some other people I knew on the flight, who were sitting further back, it took about an hour to clear immigration and collect bags. I've got Global Entry, so sailed through.
😬 Economy Delight looks very narrow! Not sure if I'll be able to take that on an 11 hour flight. Thanks for sharing your video.

Thanks. Yes, Economy Delight gets priority boarding over Economy. However, deplaning depends on where your seat is. There’s no priority other than for Upper Class, after which its whoever is closer to the front gets of first. Enjoy your flight!

Thank you for the video. Were you able to recline your seat with the toilet behind? Looked lots of room but I've heard of back seats not being able to recline on some planes. Also was it noisy that close to the toilets? 🙂
There was a lot of space behind the seat to the extent you could stand there if you wanted. So it was very easy to fully recline the seat with no guilt about anyone behind you. There wasn’t much noise from the toilet

I'm going to Vegas from Heathrow next September. Do you know if Virgin use the dreamliner constantly on this route or do they use other aircraft as well?
They pretty consistently use a Dreamliner on this route. Although given they are about to get a series of new Airbus A330 neos, the route aircraft/allocations may change around a bit

Thanks. Not sure about the return Economy food as I returned in Upper Class. The menus do tend to be different though as most flights from the US are night flights serving dinner then breakfast.

From your seat immediately in front of the toilets, did you get constant noise through the flight of doors shutting and toilet flushing? Thanks.
Not really. Most of the time I didn’t notice the bathrooms immediately ahead.
With your gold status, are you allowed to use the upper class lounge even though travelling economy? It’s nice to see a review from the back, and the delight seats looked lovely.
Thanks. Yes, the gold status allowed me to use Upper Class check-in, priority security and the Clubhouse. As they weren’t part of the economy product I left them out of the review. The priority boarding was really useful though as I got a good five minutes to film around the cabin before anyone else boarded!

I believe so ! As I've watched someone else ( very successful you tuber for traveling channels ) who's 6 ft tall said it was !! And I believe that was even just an economy class seat ! How was the immigration and customs process upon arrival? I have been told that the lines at LAS are much shorter and the officers are much more courteous than those at Los Angeles. Even as a native-born U.S. citizen I have been treated extremely rudely at LAX.
I have Global Entry so it only took seconds. However some friends on the same flight too about 45 minutes to clear security and collect baggage.
I agree with you that Las Vegas immigration officers are really good compared to some other airports. I’m sure everyone makes the same joke when they ask if you are bringing more that $10k dollars in cash into the country; ‘no, but I’m hoping to leave with it..’. And they still smile 😃
I've been through many US airports and land crossings as a US citizen, and I can tell you CBP officers suck everywhere.
Easy way to get rid off the isle blockers who drink too much is get the seatbelt sign on 😂
How much did that trip cost total?
I flew back in Upper Class so it was a lot more expensive than an Economy Delight returns. I paid £3,400 in total.
